Hi to all
Before I had nokia n97 and a sony DR-BT50 Bluetooth headphone which could connect to n97 and my laptop so easy.
after I buy samsung galaxy s I tried to connect the headphone but no way. the phone can not discover the bluetooth headphone
Before i was on Eclair and try it but could not, after I update to Froyo I had hope to make it work but the problem persists.
here are the bluetooth headphone specifications:
Bluetooth® Technology : Bluetooth Version 2.0
Diaphragm : PET
Function : A2DP, AVRCP, HFP (1.0), HSP (Ver. 1.1, Vol. 2, Part K:6)
Interface : A2DP, AVRCP, HFP, HSP
I was wondering if this is a hardware matter or could connect phone to Bt headset by applying some update.
Anyone have any idea?
Hello! I have dr-bt50 and shw-m110s (korean galaxy). Before froyo i was able to pair devices and translate media to headset. No luck with voice calls though. After froyo pairing is successful too. But when i turn headset off, android forgets about a2dp profile associated with dr-bt50. So i have to unpair device, then pair it again EVERY TIME i want to listen to music or watch a video using headset. This is really sick.

I have a MW600 with SGS I9000, I never had any problems (Eclair included).
I'm currently on Froyo 2.2.1 XWJS5. But I have installed all leaked ROMs with no issues too.
I hope to help you.

Hi, MW600 works well on my SGS since Éclair. Are you pairing it correctly?
here are the instructions from the user guide:
Pairing the headset with another device
1)Make sure the headset is turned off.
2)Turn on the Bluetooth function in the other device
3)Place the other device within 20 cm (8 inches) of the headset.
4)Press and hold down the power on the headset for about 5 seconds until the pairing indicator appears on the display.
5)In the other device: Search for and add a new device.
6)If a passcode is required, enter 0000.
To reset your MW600
1)Make sure the headset is turned off.
2)Press and hold down the power until the pairing indication appears.
3)Simultaneously press and hold down power & call until the headset turns off.

Yes, all of the buttons and touch sensitive volume works. Did you try to reset the MW600?
MW600 can pair with 3 devices, maybe during the time that you tested it, your SGS was set as the "calling device" coz usually the first one if it is a phone or mp3 player will be set as the "music source".
You can either reset or manually set your SGS as the "music source" by long pressing the play button and selecting your SGS.

Thx
Problem solved by uninstalling 3trd party music player, must using the default player...
Oh yeah, is it safe to charge with the galaxy s charger ?

You don't have to reset the MW600 just to pair with another devise, you just need to power off and long press the power, I posted this, 3 posts above.
I tested this with PowerAMP music player and all the controls work.
I've charged mine using SGS charger and USB but I can't say if it's safe, I'm no expert in that.
I Swyped this on my Galaxy S
It seems that the headset sony DR-BT50 is working on XWJS5 rom but not working on the others such as JVP/JVQ, anyone knows which files are involved for bluetooth so port them from JS5 to JVQ ?

You have to make sure the dock is on bt input. Then go in Settings/wireless/bluetooth to pair your device with the dock. Then in ur music app you should be able to send audio to bluetooth...

Facing BT connection problems
Hi,
I recently bought Samsung Galaxy Alpha and along came the Wireless Audio Doc DA F560. Ever since then I have been trying to connect the phone to the audio dock through bluetooth but my phone is just not recognizing the audio dock (DA F560) at all. I can connect my phone to other bluetooth devices (and to another wireless audio dock device from JBL as well). Also, when I try to play music from my phone on the "Docking" mode, I have the same issue. The music is only playing from the phone and not the audio dock. The only thing that seems to be working is the USB mode - I tried playing songs from my USB in the USB mode and it played well. The bluetooth and the docking mode don't seem to be working at all. Has anyone come across a similar issue? Does anyone have a fix for this, please?
thanks

Whatever car app I am using on my S6 it will open BT but not autoconnect to my htc stereoclip bt receiver in my car. I have unpaired and re-paired many timed. The only solution is to shutdown the bt receiver and restart it, why is the S6 not connecting by itself when the app ask it to?

So very annoying. There's an app called bt auto connect, try that. It only worked for me occasionally, but maybe you'll have better luck

Tried it but nothing changed, the only way to for my S6 to connect is doing it manually or to turn off-on my BT receiver everytime.
I ordered NFC tags but I wished there is a fix.
It looks like samsung TW is forbidding auto-connect for a weird reason
I can't find a pairing mode. The Gear App does is seamlessly with the phone and IconX but need to pair it directly to the watch.

Use Bluetooth to exchange data or media files with other Bluetooth-enabled devices.
1. From the Apps screen, rotate the bezel to *Settings.
2. Tap Connections > Bluetooth.
• Bluetooth: Turn the Bluetooth feature on or off.
• BT headset: Search for Bluetooth headsets and connect them to the Gear.
Note: The headset can be only used for playing music on the Gear.

I've done that but it doesn't see the IconX. Is there a setting on the IconX I need to put the IconX into?

Have you done this?
Insert the earbuds into the charging case, close it, and then take out the earbuds.
Put the earbuds in your ears to enter Bluetooth pairing mode.
If the earbuds do not connect to a mobile device within three minutes, Bluetooth
pairing mode will be deactivated. To enter Bluetooth pairing mode again, insert the
earbuds into the charging case and close it. Then, take out the earbuds and put them
in your ears.

Does any one know if the iconx earbuds can be paired up with the gear fit 2? That is
Does any one know if the iconx earbuds can be paired up with the gear fit 2? That is, may I stream music from te gear fit 2 to the iconx via bluetooh? Thanks!!
the real question should be, does the iconx connect to multiple device at the same time or only one at a time. now i cannot figure out how can i switch from the mobile to gear s3 as it seems it only connect to one and every time you want to switch you should go through the whole hassle of pairing it again from the box.
I'd be happy to just pair them with my Tab 4. Kind of sad they take something as standard as Bluetooth and cripple it, requiring an app and not allowing it to do a basic dumb pairing on anything Android. My tab 4 can see the IconX's. I put them in pairing mode but they won't pair unless it opens the gear app. But the app doesn't see them.
I honestly don't get it. A $150 pair of headphones can't pair to a tablet. Samsung says the Bluetooth profiles are not compatible.
I have a problem with phone audio connection when using my car, Gear S3 by default set to answer calls, also my car bluetooth sets to accept calls when it's on.
Problem is when I get into my car, Gear S3 still connected as phone audio connection and my car cant connect to phone audio.
Is there a way to set priority for bluetooth connections that when I am in my car turns off Gear audio connection and turn it back on when I am not in car?
Or is there any other solution to solve this issue?
Thanks

It's R760
That is strange. I have a note 4, both gear and car head-unit connect to it by bluetooth. My phone audio connects only to the device that answers the call.

Maybe it's because I am using non-Samsung device?
Do you enable phone audio for your watch bluetooth settings?
Watch is connected for phone audio at the phone's Bluetooth setting.

So both your car bluetooth and watch bluetooth have phone audio option enabled and both of them connect to Gear at same time?
How do you answer calls then?
Both car and s3 are connected to the phone so either one can answer a call.

And the audio is routed to the answering device. It would be nice to be able to answer the phone with a swipe on the watch and have the audio go to the device of your choice. My old Moto 360 did this, probably because it had no speaker though. It was convenient.

My car doesn't connect to phone audio while Gear is connected, I have to disconnect gear first. Phone is Nexus 6P
Seems the Nexus 6P has a bit of issues with bluetooth connections with cars, https://www.google.com.sg/search?q=.....1.1.64.psy-ab..0.2.341...0i20k1.cGibaV3ew9Q
Maybe can you can try it with another mobile to see if the problem lies your phone or car.

I can confirm the Nexus 6P bluetooth issues. It drove me crazy. Switched to an S8+ and those issues disappeared. In re to the OP, my gear s3 works seamlessly with my s8+ and my car's bluetooth connection. Which device answers the call, it's gets the volume. I noticed mention about being able to direct the connection to a different device: this option exists for my S8+ but I haven't seen it on the Gear. Maybe because of a lack of screen real estate?
I'm using oneplus 3t and have exactly the same issue, both car and watch are connected and none can take the call. Has this been resolved by anyone?
