Sounds to me like you guys got a bad download. Not sure but if you know how to flash back to honeycomb i would give that a try and then redownload the update.
To flash back to honeycomb download your proper region from here
http://www.asus.com/Eee/Eee_Pad/Eee_Pad_Transformer_TF101/#download
Then UNZIP the zip file that came from asus
Copy the asus/update/ww-epad-user8.6.5.21.zip file to your microSD
Copy the ww-epad-user8.6.5.21 file to the root of your microSD
Rename the file to EP101-SDUPDATE.zip. (this is case sensitive must be caps)
Reboot to recovery by pressing vol down and power while the tab is off
When you see the text press vol up
Edit : if this works it should bring you back to honeycomb. This is also assuming you cannot get into clockworkmod.

I have the same problem, turning the TF101 off.
After a while when I look at it, its hanging on the boot screen and the circle is not spinning.
A reboot helps.
Could it be one of my news reader News360, Puls or a app like email, Friendfinder or Overlook Wiz?
These apps are always active and synch themselves at given times.
I have a few browser shortcuts. In a folder on my homescreen, after a crash like this, the shortcut icons are replaced with green android icons.

It is not a case of bad downloads. CWM or OTA, it doesn't matter, my TF is random rebooting on ICS. Honeycomb runs just fine. My report is consistent with that of other people. There IS a problem with the update, but it seems to only affect some units.

If it's the problem i hope for other update from Asus to fix it :-(

i don't think is a bad download , 2 day straight after the update i had no problems ... now on 24 hours i had 3 reboot , 1 time hang at the Asus logo and 1 time my tf went into a some kind of bootloop ... after the download of ics update is a check file verification before the start .
so i think the problem is in ICS or a combination of ICS + some packages or some problem in kernel .

No problems for me too. Chrome is awesome. Not had one fc or random reboot.

another problem is that battery is drain faster ... but the ics is smooth and apps works great ... no fc or other problems ... i'm waiting for a revolver release

How many who have had reboots logged into g+ app?
Had been using this heavily without issues till I signed into g+. Soon after I signed in and turned off screen it rebooted and stuck at Asus screen. Held power till it restated wiped data from g+ (and never logged back in) and it hasn't happened again so far. It might be a far cry to what may be causing reboots. But I didn't have any problems till then. And I don't seem to have them now, battery is good if not better, I love it just hope it doesn't reboot again.

I agree with you, i notice one thing, battery in ICS is better then honeycomb, but after this problem it start drain faster, i don't know why, in battery settin i see "active", what is it?
As you can see, sometimes wifi is off, display is off, tab is in standby but "attivo" in english active, is still running

B50 US TF, Wipe after update.
I have just suffered the boot loop. I had to push vol- and power to get into recovery. Once there I powered off, then on again, and everything went back to normal.
I don't beleive it has something to be with the dl. There's something wrong...

The battery was drain because the screen was on at asus logo for an hour or so and went from 76% to 34%. I don't think is a battery issue with ics, just freezing at one point with screen on.

It's definitely in the update, most probably the kernel, since the bug is triggered when the device enters the deep sleep state. And probably not an app, because even after a wipe and NOT configuring a Google Account, the problem persists.

I have a stock B50 which updated successfully, no reboots or power drain issues. Make sure the tab is fully charged and plugged in to the charger before updating, it takes a long time so be patient. When it's done, it will beep and show the lockscreen. I hope the root is not causing the problem.
Same problem here, had a boot loop a day or two ago just as described in the first post. No need to go to recovery, just held the power button in until the tablet switched off, then waited a few seconds, and powered back on. I hadn't shut it down before the issue started, though, it just spontaneously rebooted and got stuck in the boot loop by itself when I wasn't around. No idea how long it had been going when my wife found it.
Spontaneous reboots were *very* rare for me on Honeycomb, and I never saw a boot loop before at all
I'm on a stock, unrooted US-market TF101-B1, and wiped both before and after installing ICS. Barely any programs had been added to the stock install when the boot loop happened...
My wife's did this today. Never rooted, it got the OTA update to ICS yesterday with no factory reset, and had been running flawlessly until the bootloop this morning. I held the power button until it reset, its been fine since. It happened exactly as described in the OP. Something is broken in the ICS ROM.
I posted a thread a few days ago about not being able to power off or restart my Samsung Galaxy s2 skyrocket on ATT. I am using SKy's ICS rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1602216 with the newest update and I still cannot turn it off. The response I got was to use the Darkside Wipe, I tried that, loaded the base rom, then rebooted (it rebooted on its own) flashed the update, and now im back to it not being able to turn off.... I have searched every where and everyone says the issue is resolved, but its not working. Please point me in the right direction to fix this issue.

Thank you! Did't want to have to pull the battery anytime I needed to restart my phone. Holding the power button in for 10-15 seconds even when its froze forces it to restart. At least now I can put my case back on it....
I was wondering if anyone knew a way to stop it from freezing up? Or at least know whats causing it?
I had this problem too with the Ics roms. If you use the touch recovery to wipe factory data reset it should work. I used to one recommended in the sky Ics thread and had no problems after that.

Do you have a link to it? I have been looking for options and I must be missing it.
I did do the Dark Side complete wipe, and after it worked, it stopped working when I applied the update.

Just factory wipe, wipe cache, dalvik in whatever cwm you have
Ill try that again, and redownload the patch and see if that fixes it. Is there anyway to get an error log to see whats FCing or crashing?

Hi,
I have the Asus Eeepad transformer TF101, I've had it less then a year now, and when I got it, it had been refurbished. Today I had tried to root it, and that's where it all went wrong. The root managed to go through fine, but once I rebooted it, it would not get past the first screen "the eeepad" screen. So I managed to get into recovery mode and undo the root and get it back to factory settings. I once again rebooted and it worked fine...until I went to install the most recent firmware update... the installation fails, again booted it and its stuck at the first screen again. Did another system restore, and tried to upgrade it once more, just in case it hit a glitch or something. Same thing happens, error in the middle of installation and freezes at the screen. Again tried to restore... and this time I wasn't even able to get into the mode to restore... I get the android guy with the loading bar, then the next second I get the android guy with the warning sign with an "!" in the middle of it.... It won't even let me clear the data, it just sits there with the speaker popping every 5 seconds or so. I could really use some help.

Remove all installed drivers(including Asus sync and any other Asus software) and then download and install naked driver(link is available in easy flash thread).. now plug your tablet and when it asks for driver install naked driver... if it doesn't then go to device manager on your laptop and install from there... once this is done, press power button and volume up buttons together for 5 secs and that will take your tablet into APX mode... plug the tablet back, your laptop will install APX drivers then go back to device manager and right click on the unknown device and update/install driver( same naked driver).. once you have installed required drivers its just a matter of running easy flasher...

Hey,
My Asus Tf300t has been working perfectly until I wanted to get into recovery mode (RCK) yesterday. It got stuck there and
I tried it another time and it didn't work. After that I let it go and just booted normally, but then it stayed at the "ASUS Inspiring inno.... etc." screen.
Now I can shut my device down by holding the power button, but I cant get it to cold boot or get into recovery options again, it just boots endlessly.
My device has been unlocked and working fine for months.
What can I do?
regards,
Pmobilee
make sure that you are hold the "volume down" button, and hope it puts you back to where you can boot into recovery. Does that tablet boot at all, or just a "bootloop"
Did you have a working recovery before this? Like have you booted your recovery before and know that it was working?

Yes, I have been into the recovery and know the procedure. And im afraid the boot goes as far as the asus logo.

Yes, recovery booted before. But this all started when I tried to boot recovery again, and it got stuck. Then this infitite boot occurred.

and when you tried to boot recovery again what method did you use? did you use the "reboot recovery" option in your recovery or ROM power menu?or did you do it manually?(hold vol- and power then press vol+)?

Hi all. I'm in the exact same situation. Didn't want to make a new thread though.
I rooted my TF300T a few months ago (Oct 2013), and it has been running fine on CyanogenMod 10.2. So I ran the CyanogenMod Update app (Settings > About Tablet > CyanogenMod Updates), then downloaded the LATEST nightly (dated yesterday: Dec 14, so 10.2...141213). I don't know if this is a factor, but I usually pull down the notification bar and tap the "Reboot and Install" option, but I accidentally cleared my notifications, so I went back into CyanogenMod Updates, tapped the installed button for the latest nightly, and tablet started rebooting.
However I cannot get past the boot screen. So recovery is not loading. I used TWRP last time I did this. I Can't turn the tablet off either, at least not until I plugged the USB from my PC to the tablet then tried long pressing the Power button and holding Volume Down. Before plugging USB in it would simply restart and sit on the boot screen again.
I have to leave the house for now, but will attempt to get into Recovery later tonight with same methods as above. Fingers crossed!
EDIT: I remembered, it was 10.2, not 10.1 I was running. So I shouldn't have had any issues going from 10.2 to a newer 10.2.
I'm back home now. I've tried again to get into Recovery, but cannot. I've got the tablet plugged into the PC with the USB, I'm holding Power and Volume Down, but nothing. Instead it seemly turns off, but comes back on and stays on the same boot screen (Asus. Inspiring Innovation, etc...).
And I can't figure out how I was able to turn the damn thing off before either. So I have to leave it on until the power drains. So that sucks!
Is it bricked?
Let's do this together. I recently tried to upgrade to 4.4 from 4.3 and I accidently erased my tablet by manually booting into twrp 2.5 and selecting the 3rd option which is wipe data...so we are in the same boat.

Damn, that sucks! Yes, battery has now drained, and yes, let's work this out together. What ROM were you using? Android 4.4 is not out on CyanogenMod for the TF300T, and I will probably stick to CM. But if I have to use something else to get this fixed, I'll do it.
Was any fix found for this? I am now experiencing the same problem after trying to reboot into recovery to upgrade Cyanogen. Any help would be appreciated.

Nope, and after a lot of support and help from the good guys on the Transformer Forums, I've declared this unfixable. If you had a NVIDIA backup, you'd be fine, but without that you're pretty much screwed, sorry to say.
Can you get into bootloader? If so you can do this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2425581
And it should resolve ANY bad flash/wrong flash issues.
All,
Hopefully this is an easy one. I looked through the board and did not see anything I haven't similar but i can be wrong. Quick background, I rebooted the phone it looked normal on shutdown but it never came back up.. What I have tried is tremove the battery and left it for day and tried to turn on with no luck. A couple of times it showed the battery indicator but would go black screen if i tried to turn it on. I have reloaded the stock rom using ODIN still no luck. The only thing I can make it do is go to the download screen, that's it. This is a stock ATT Skyrocket no mods or anything. It seems to be a software issue but I do not know how to fix it. Any Ideas Thanks
oops!

I'm in the same boat. Root was a confirmed success after the OTA update, but now I can't get pass the download screen while booting up the phone. When I was trying to boot into recovery mode after I did a few quick restarts in a row after rooting phone, to install a debloater .zip, it came to this screen only (see screenshot), the Samsung logo comes up before this and it's all that it does now. Thinking it's a soft brick as this screen is the only thing that keeps coming up after Samsung Logo with no unlock/lock symbol, when I try to reboot the phone in various ways. I know I can't use Odin to reflash back to stock MDL after the June OTA update, as I tried with no luck came up failed like I knew it would. Plug in via usb to computer, PC doesn't recognize it, so I can't check / access anything on the phone. Pulling straws here. PLEASE HELP.......
