[Q] Freez Device After ICS update - Samsung Galaxy Tab Plus

hi guys
last week i update my P.6200 to Malaysia ICS rom with mobile ODIN
now sometimes my device freez & i have to hold the power botton to reset it
can anyone help me
Is there any way to root Android 4 P.6200
thanks

My wife's tab did the same thing after the update. Mine never had the problem. After trying a few different settings things, we decided just to get a replacement tab (still within 30 days of purchasing it). The replacement doesn't have the problem. Some suggested a hard reset - maybe try that as a first resort? If that doesn't work, you may need to get a replacement tab (if still under warranty).

I've had the same problem. Thought it may have been related to me bringing my Tab back from the dead (Brick-bug) but doesn't seem to be.
Everything is perfect on any honeycomb firmware but as soon as I upgrade to any recent ICS I get random freezes. Have tried the latest Russian, Malaysian and Thailand firmware and they all freeze.
Have found the original Austrian 4.0.4 release is fine though. No freezes and pretty smooth, so am sticking with that. There may be more recent builds that may be smoother and better battery but they all seem to freeze.
Give the Austrian a try and see how you go :good:

Galaxy Note not booting after firmware update
Hi,
The same thing happened to me today. My phone indicated that an update was required. When I proceeded to install, the phone is stuck at the SAMSUNG logo.
My phone is not rooted. About a few weeks ago I had upgraded from GB to ICS.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Facing the same problem
Hi all,
I am facing the same problem since this morning. I have not rooted my phone. Recently I upgraded my Galaxy Note from Gingerbread to ICS 4.0.3. This morning, I upgraded the firmware, as I had done this in the past as well, I didn't think it may lead to any problem. But since then, the phone starts and shows Samsung prompt. Is it because of any bug in the latest update? Does anyone know what to do in this situation?
I am facing the same problem, the Samsung logo keeps glowing off and on after the boot chime plays.
Does any one have any clue about this? I think its happening to India users who got this update.
Edit: I am unable to go into the recovery screen as well. The green droid shows, some loading happens(tries to?) in the bar below and the screen turns off and if I keep holding the buttons the same cycle repeats. Leaving them at any point leads to the Samsung glowing logo and no boot!
Another one bites the dust
Faced the same problem yesterday...running around to get my contactsrescued...even the authorized service centres are only assuring flashing it -0 as if it is a big obligation
Need someone to access dram... jtag to a usb mode...going to try at heera panna & manish market tomoro - both in Mumbai

If anyone can help - kindly upload post
Found the solution!!!
Hi Guys, I've found the solution.
Edit: Since, I received queries from many people, I would like to know from the advanced/experienced members if the solution I am suggesting is absolutely right or not, and if it could lead to any problem. My phone is working fine, I haven't lost any data.
The solution:
1. Download the stable ICS version released in May.
2. Install it manually using the ODIN settings.
Guys, please help us out, let us know your opinion.
add me to list
using just the stock rom
this update flashed on the notification and after installation doesnt go beyond the
boot screen

[Q]Stock firmware 4.1.2 problems

Hi, I am using OTA update for 4.1.2 for last couple of months on my GT P3100. Few days back the touch screen suddenly not working, even I could not able to reboot . Anyway I rebooted it and found that I could not able to install any new apps, cancell button works but install button not. Then I performed factory reset. This time I found some graphics problem at my setting menu bar. Now I could not able to decide whether should I stay in this stock Rom or switch to some other Rom. What could be the possible reasons? Someone pl help.

sounds like you had a bad update and not updated corectly. I suggest you flash the stock rom manually.
Where can I get stock 4.1.2? I don't want to lose my set's warranty. I am from India. If I flash any other country firmware, what will happened ?
One more thing 4.1.1 is better than 4.1.2.

[Q] N8010 4.0.4 / How to disable firmware update? It's driving me insane..

Updated to JB back in January and since then I was very disappointed with decreased performance and lag.. even factory reset did not help...
So I have made decision to flash back to ICS 4.0.4.. Everything went fine and my Note is like new The only problem is that it auto downloaded JB update again and it's nagging me every couple of hours to upgrade (which I obviously don't want to do).
ICS doesn't seem to have option in settings to disable updates.. Or at least I am not able to find it...
Could somebody hint me how can I delete downloaded JB firmware update and stop Note from downloading it again?
Thanks
DrLamok
ps: I was trying to find similar topic here on the forum but failed to find solution.

I don't know if this will work but if you just root your tab, samsung update will see it's modified and you never get updates again.
If you later wanna do updates just use odin.
Hope that helps...

SM-G920F freezes and constant reboots out of the blue

Hi all, first post here, as a brief introduction... I have bought a Samsung Galaxy S6 a couple of weeks ago and recently it has been a constant pain in the.... mind
Currently I have G920FXXU2BOFJ Baseband and it constantly crashes, even without doing anything. The crashes/reboots are completely random and very annoying. I have tried to update the firmware to a latest version from France (which had some updates for Android 5.1.1, file name G920FXXU2BOG8_G920FOXA2BOG8_XEF) but the problem persists.
Trying to revert the firmware to the original I made a mess so I'm currently using Smart Switch as I write to recover the phone from the dead. Any ideas on how to solve these freezing issues? Anyone else having them? I thought it was a hardware problem, but I can leave the phone in Download Mode for as long as I want without issues (not very useful as a smartphone that way though ) However, even in the Wipe Data/Cache mode it still freezes.
Thanks!

Can't load firmware on Odin phone bricked

I recently rooted my phone to try and recover some deleted pictures after the phone completely crashed and wouldn't load up , I have tried to install an original firmware using Odin but I keep getting the same message about not being authorized . Am I installing the wrong files or am I not doing something thathat causes it to fail?
Where did you download the firmware? Are you sure you're using the correct version?
Are you on a G930T or a G935T?
I had the same problem on mine before, what solved it was downloading a later version of the firmware, as you can't downgrade just like that.
You can download the latest firmware from Sammbile. (I would link but I have less than 10 posts.
The T stands for T-Mobile, and the 930 is the regular, 935 is the edge. If you're not T-Mobile, you're in the wrong section, but I'm still glad to help once I obtain more information.

Always flash the most recent firmware becasue if you don't remember chances are you can flash an old version and run into issues, so to be safe flash the latest available firmware. Also when you first rooted did you change the CPU governor or run/install anything that could have caused the bootloop in the first place?

You can install this awesome rom to speed things up don't worry it's a stock rom so no Knox trip. The link I will provide also has instructions. So to get started I recommend making a backup of applications with titanium backup which might require the pro so unfortunately you may have to buy a full version( if you don't want to spend money you can patch the app with lucky patcher). And I recommend checking out this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...stockdeodexeddebloatedrom-7-10-t3415952/page1
It is somewhat debloated and has the best speed I've seen yet... Ive been using it for a month now and I love it!
