I purchased an Energizer USB Wall Charger and Micro USB Cable - Specification: Input AC 100-240V ~50/60Hz 0.2A Output DC5V-1A
The charger that came with my Galaxy Nexus has the following Specification: Input AC 100-240V ~50/60Hz 0.15A Output DC5V-1A
My question is that the input is different on both chargers so will there be compatibility issues if I use the Energizer charger for my Galaxy Nexus or other phones that charge with a Micro USB port?

[Q] Charging Samsung Galaxy S using third party Charger?

Hello! I bought from ebay a charger for Samsung Galaxy S which can also charge an extra battery along with the phone. But when I plug my Galaxy in ANY third party charger it pops up the PC connection menu, the screen trembles and doesn't respond correctly.
My question is: Which of the following do you thing is responsible for this?
1. The charger? (If the voltage is right what makes it different from the original?)
2. The cable? (Original USB to Micro USB data cable for the charger)
3. The wall plug? (American to European converter)
Specifications at the back of the charger:
Input: AC100-240V~50/60Hz 0.15A
Output: DC 4.2V~350mA~+-50mA
USB 5.2Vd.c. 800mA

Car charger

many of you probably know there's a plug with the cable foe the tf300 but i was wondering if one can use a usb adapter. by the idea the output is 1.2 amps and 15V as you can guess its hard to find a car charger to usb like that but there are many 2amp 5V adapters. also i noticed the official asus wall chargers has both outputs 1.2 amp and 2amp. so my qustion is is it safe to use a 2amp 5V usb car adapter to charge the tf300

Adaptive/Fast chargers

Hi,
Just wanted to share my experience with adaptive/fast chargers.
Recently purchased four different manufacturers chargers from Amazon in an attempt to find one that would live up to its claims of charging at the maximum capacity of the phones battery and be an improvement over the stock charger.
The chargers were tested using an Xperia Z2, Samsung Galaxy S6 and an Xperia Tablet Z.
Below are the four that were purchased:
- AUKEY Wall Charger 3 Ports 30W / 6A USB Travel Adapter
- TeckNet® PowerZone C3 Universal BLUETEK™ USB-C Power Adapter 24W/5V 4.8A 4 Port USB Wall Charger
- Tronsmart 42W 3-Port USB Wall Charger
- Orico 30W 6A 4-Port Mains USB Charger
Initially I tested each charger using Ampere(Play Store) and though the results varied, none of the chargers seemed to output more than 500-850ma. I also noted that in the Ampere App, the Max USB current value was set at 1000ma for all four chargers. When using the stock Sony or Samsung Apaptive Charger, the Max USB current was detected correctly at 1500ma and while the Sony 1500ma charger only ever managed an output of 950-1100ma, the Samsung 2000ma charger managed an output of 1300-1400ma.
With the varying results using Ampere I purchased an inline USB current meter (). I had sent the first three chargers back by this point but still had the Orico.
Using the inline current meter I found it more accurate and if it was showing a reading of 1000ma, Ampere would show anywhere between 200-700ma which makes me wonder how accurate the Ampere App actually is.
Using the inline meter the Orico could only supply 950-1100ma. Given each port is claimed to output upto 2.4 amps I would have expected it to at least get close to 1500ma.
In the end I purchased a cheap Foxconn dual port 2000ma charger and using the inline meter it showed 1400-1500ma.
Not even the Tronsmart which comes with a Quickcharge 2.0 port could manage more than 1100ma on either the Z2 or S6.
I don't really know what all this means but it seems all these manufacturers are maybe using the same internals and the adaptive charging is detecting only 1000ma on the devices I tested them with.
A frustrating experience to find a fast charger but I hope this information is helpful to others and I'd be interested to hear others opinions/experiences with such chargers.

Replacement Turbo Charger?

I own the Moto Z that came with Motorola 15w Turbo Charger (the grey turbo writing on the USB-C end, it's also the All-in-one charger too) but I wanted a substitute incase anything were to happen to it so
I purchased a bunch of USB-C to USB-A Cables, I also purchased two quick chargers. The first being the:
Tronsmart Rapid Wall Charger QC 3.0 18W, which is supposed to output 3.6V-6.5V/3A, 6.5V-9V/2A, 9V-12V/1.5A. And the second, the:
Motorola Turbo Charger QC 2.0 15W, which outputs Standard: 5V / 1.67A (8W) TurboPower 1: 9V / 1.67A (15W) TurboPower 2: 12V / 1.2A (15W)
Neither of these two chargers managed to trigger the "TurboPower Connected" pop up, I also downloaded Ampere and did some tests on them, but they show that the amperage caps at 1500mAh. Is there a reason for this and also could somebody suggest a guaranteed substitute charger that triggers the pop up?

Are you using a Motorola turbo charge brick? Like the one in the box with the Nexus 6. If not then there's your issue. You can only acquire turbo charging speed through one of those and it'll turbo charge your phone through any USB cable since the cable is only a vessel used to flow voltage. Hope this helps!

I have the first turbo charger (QC2) and it didn't work on my Moto Z. I think that Z isn't compatible with Qualcomm Quick Charge technology; Moto probably uses USB-C capabilities for the Turbo Charge.

Thank you for your response, I found out that using a fast charger that has a USB-C output on the charger, triggers the TurboPower Charge. So you would need a USB-C to USB-C cable with an Output Fast Charger of USB-C, as the charging current is higher.

Thank you for your response, I bought a fast charger with a USB-C output, that came with a USB-C to USB-C cable and it triggered the TurboPower pop up.
If you can get to a Verizon Wireless store or just want to hit them up on their website, the TurboPower 30 is currently on sale for $19.

USB-C charging cable supports 3A current while normal micro USB charging cable only supports 1.8A current, so you need an Original Data/Charging USB-C cable.
I lost my turbo charger and yesterday i charged Moto Z with the original charger from my Zuk z1. And guess what...turbo charging enabled. Then i tried the Zuk Z2 charger and it also turbo charges. I know that Zuk and Moto are both Lenovo, but i did not expect it to work with a charger from 2015.
Maybe comes handy if someone has those lying around. I pressume chargers from Zuk Edge and 2 Pro should also be turbocharging the Z
Does turbo charging require anything special?
Or are these normal chargers with 3A/USB C?

Charger with hardwired USB C cable or charger with USB C port with an USB C to C cable. And rated for 3A. As far as I know that would be the things needed.

Is charging Moto by old chargers unrecommended (1A, 5V)? I've read, that fast charging kills our batteries faster than normal

Usb-type C docks and recharge

A newbie question but I need to know before buying one: is it possibile to charge the battery of a Samsung S10e via a USB type-c docking station/hub?
I don't have one to test but i don't see why it would not charge, those docks are mainly used for charging

I have an Anker 7-in-1 hub. It charges the s10e just fine - and connects it to a keyboard, mouse, HDMI monitor and memory stick.
