[Q] Play store error - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've recently rooted my nexus s (i9020) and flashed ROM Codename 3.5 with 3.0.40-Air Kernel. I also flashed the Codename Gapps, the problem I am having is that google music and maps youtube etc, werent installed. I did a restore with titanium backup and they were still not installed.
When I try to install these apps (or any apps) from the play store I get an error that my account cannot be verrified. I cleared the market data as well as google play store data, and still getting the same error.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Try wiping and flashing only the rom and gapps first. Sounds like something may not have flashed right.

I tried that, I also had the same problem on AOKP ROM too

Problem is solved. I cleared the data in Settings-Apps for Google Play Store, google play services, and market feedback agent.
I still cannot seem to find Google Play music in the app store tho..

[Q] [CM9 Alpha]Can we customize google packages?

Hi,
I am running cm9 alpha currently.
All works fine for me except google wallet keeps stopping. An error msg could be seen on screen. And, I really don't need google wallet and some other services like YouTube etc. But I do need Google sync. Can I uninstall them? Or is that possible for us to choose which google services will installed after flashing google service package?
Thanks,
Qi Zhang
Yea you can just use titanium or root explorer to remove them. I don't believe you can pick and choose which apps go into the gapps package. You could try downloading a bare bones rom and then install all your needed system apps.

The likely reason that it is force closing is you probably didn't format your /cache, /data, /system and /boot before flashing the rom and gapps.

[Solved] strange error in google play store (DF-BPA-09)

it comes up for both paid and free apps does anybody know what this is?
hey, i have the same exact error, im on HTC oneX (global edition)

***Just realised I posted under the wrong thread as I'm using a Sony Ericsson x8 E15i running MiniCM7 on nAa Kernel - Thought I'd leave the post here incase this info helped anyone***
Also having this problem - Error processing purchase. [DF-BPA-09
This only happens when I try to download and install some apps but others work fine.
e.g.
I search the market for "Music Player". The second app down on the list is "Poweramp (Trial)". When I try to install this app I get the above error. (MOST music player apps give me this error).
However, Winamp installs fine without errors. I also installed a Online Banking app without problems, it just seems to be certain apps that give this error.
I'm thinking this is possibly a problem with the market rather than the user-end.
Could someone else try to download both "Poweramp" and "Winamp" and post the outcome back (I only have one handset but would like to eliminate a problem with my phone).
Using nAa Kernel on MiniCM7 2.2.0
Any help will be appriciated... it's beggining to bug me now!
i cleaned davick cache, clear data & cache for google framework & google play.. still no luck
im getting a mixture of "DF-BPA-09" "DF-BPA-13" as well as error code 921... very very frustrating!!!
i wonder is it because of the newest update to 3.5.16?

P.S. Was trying new rom, is that cause this problem?

This worked for me. I ended up having to reboot, but after that the market was upgraded to the play store, and I was still able to install apps. Thanks.
Uninstalled update frm Version 3.5.19 back to 3.5.16, then cleared google services framework, and restart phone. Solved the issue for now I guess.
I tried all of this, on my og evo, and it did not work! Any other thoughts?
Clear cache on Google play solved it for me.

Problem with Google Play

Nexus S 4G
Bugless Beast latest version
Matr1x latest version
Google Play latest version
When I try to download a song it throws up an unspecified error.
Any suggestions how to fix?
I downloaded the latest gapps (wiped cache and dalvik) and installed, no difference. I think I need to go back to an older version.

Fixed
Unistalled the update, did all the wipes, reinstalled gapps. Seems to work ok now.
Wipe google play store cache. DON'T open the play store yet!! Remove your Gmail account under Settings/accounts and sync. Open play store, and it will ask for a Gmail account. Enter it, and your problem should be fixed!

[Q] facing error issue when download app from playstore

Hi,recently i just flash and using this stock rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2560915) . After that when i try to install or update any apps from play store i facing error issue that says "error retrieving information from server.[RPC:5-3]". Can anyone solve this problem.I am very appreciated if anybody can solve it.
Can you go into your settings and clear the cache from the Google Play store, then clear the data from the Google Services Framework and force stop it. Then restart your device and proceed to Google Play and see if the issue persists.

Play Store Has Stopped

Hello everyone,
I have an issue, uninstalled the play store app completely from the system and downloaded the most recent one from an XDA thread. After re-installing it does not work. It says (Unfortunately, Google Play Store has stopped working). Now I've tried some method like clearing the cache and data from both the play store and google play services. I also did a factory reset using TWRP, everything is back to normal except the play store app which did not installed by itself but I had to re download it fro XDA. How can i fix the app so I can use it again? Could it be that is not working cause is not in the system folder anymore? if so how can I put the app back there? Thank you in advance for any help you may give me. :fingers-crossed:

What I did was reinstall gapps
Flash arm 5.1 and full package, you can uninstall the unwanted apps with rom manager or something
