[Q] CM10 installation stuck at Asus logo - Transformer TF300T Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I've tried and tried, but whatever I do with TWRP/CWM recovery, whether it be full wipes etc, I can't seem to be able to get CM10 to boot.
Was previously running 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, and from what I can gather, CM10 should be compatible according to the latest nightly builds. I'm using the latest TF300T nightly build from get.cm.
Every time I flash CM10, I get stuck at the non-animated Asus screen with it stating "This device is UnLocked", the Asus logo, and also has the Nvidia Tegra stuff on the bottom right.
Can never get past this point with any Cyanogen Mod build. Back to normal and working condition with a wipe and flash of rooted JB 4.1.1.
Please help me, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, I'm kind of new to android but should be able to handle some technical jargon
Cheers guys,
Axeon

No where in that thread does it say it's compatible, in fact it says the opposite at least 64 times. Not compatible once you're on the jellybean official

Can not install custome rom!!!

I am having some trouble here. I bought the TF300T pad for my wife several months ago. She is no longer using it so I decided to take it over. I wanted to unlock, root, and install a custom rom as I have done on my Galaxy S3. After a lot of searching and reading I finally got it unlocked and rooted. The problem is, I can not seem to get a rom to install and boot. It installs fine but will not boot. Just stuck on the Asus loading screen.
A little background on the procedure I took. First I found that I needed to unlock the bootloader before I could root. So I went to the Asus download site and got the V7 tool. I am on 4.2.1 when using unlock tool. I installed it and the pad says that it is unlocked. So I try to boot into recovery to do the rooting. When I get there I have the RCK but no USB icon. I boot into RCK but get the dead android. I do some more searching and finally get an answer. I just needed to stay on that initial screen to flash TWRP recovery. I also let TWRP root the device. Now it seems I cannot get a rom to boot. I have tried CM10 stable, CM10.1 nightly, and a couple others but cannot get a single one to boot.
Any ideas or advice would be helpful at this point.
Update: I was able to get KA05 CM10 Kang to install and boot. I guess I am just limited to builds that are based on 4.1.2?
I am in the same situation and haven't had any luck installing anything above 4.1.2. I am going to give KA05 a try tonight and see if it works.
KA05 worked for me. I wonder if the issue with installing 4.2 is related to using the old unlock tool V7?
I believe cm requires 4.1 bootloader but you have 4.2 bootloader right now. I dunno why kang works but people reported that cm doesn't work on 4.2 bootloader.

That is the conclusion I have come up with as well. Kang works pretty well, so I will stick with that for now. The only issue I have come up with so far is that I cannot turn off the search bar without getting error messages popping up. Other than that it works.

That is a question that has been nagging me ever since I installed it. After using version 7 to unlock I realized there was a new v8. I tried to use it but it will not install as I am already unlocked. Oh well. Kang works and will stick with that until I find a fix or find something else that will install.

[Q] Hanging on ASUS Image after installing ROM

First time poster, have been searching the forums the entire weekend so I'm finally going to break down and post a question.
History:
Purchased TF300T, came with Android 4.0.3
Installed OTA to get to 4.1.1, then it updated again to 4.2.1
MobileDock keyboard does not work, after calling ASUS they want me to send in for service.
So, I've decided to dive into the custom ROMs 1. because I want to learn how to, and 2. to see if I can get the mobiledock to work.
Unlocked via ASUS website
Installed CWM but it would never read my SD card
Installed TWRP 2.4.4.0
Backed up (thank goodness, I keep going back to it)
Installed CM10.1 ROM, it installs great but gets stuck on the ASUS image screen at boot
Installed AOKP_R5 ROM, it installs great but gets stuck on the ASUS image screen at boot
I've tried lower versions of TWRP with no luck.
I've tried wiping cache, dalvk, factory, system before, cache/dalvk after installing ROMs
What am I doing wrong? I feel like I'm so close!! Thanks in advance.

The CM 10.1 and AOKP R05 are not compatible with your bootloader (4.2.1).
Sudru said he was going to release an AOKP version for the new bootloader, but you will have to wait for that.
Try flashing CleanRom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2204166
Or flash

Thanks so much I was able to load both ROMs. I really appreciate it. My mobile dock does not work with either of them but I think I'll search around for that before posting another question.

Getting WiFi to Work with AOKP ROM

It's been a while since i've played with android, but I just want to load a fully functioning custom ROM.
Info (from about tablet)
Model Number
TF300TAndroid Version
4.2.2Kernel Version
3.1.10-10.4.2.20AOKP Version
fully_aokp_tf300t_unofficial_Mar-03-13
Info from bootloader screen
cardhu-user bootloader 1.00 e
ww_epad-10.4.2.20-20121228 A03This bootloader has the 4 icons (includes the USB fastboot icon)
Recovery:
TWRP 2.5
The tablet is actually a TF300TG, but all the roms seems to be for the TF300T and I read some posts saying the only thing you lose by cross flashing is the 3g functionality - although, I also read some stating not to.
Q1. It says it's running Android 4.2.2, but the bootloader is still the old JB type - is this because it's a custom rom?
Q2. Is there anything I can do to get WiFi working on this ROM? The wifi never moves to the 'on' position.
I followed the instructions from the link in the bellow quote (the first time around I was on the new bootloader) - I tried flashing both
ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T Firmware: V10.4.2.20 Only for WW SKU (Android 4.1) - 2013.01.18 update
ASUS Transformer Pad TF300TG Firmware: V10.4.3.9 Only for WW SKU (Android 4.1) - 2012.11.14 update
and then installing AOKP, but this just leaves me back where I started.
This ROM is really nice and I would like to continue using it.
The wifi works when using the asus stock software, and I believe it also worked when trying the Hydra ROM.
Many Thanks in advance.

Surdu got this ROM to boot on the new bootloader but wifi doesn't work yet. I would wait on him to post the steps needed to get everything working correctly. I have a feeling that it won't be long before he has the newer version ready.
If you can't wait and want to run this ROM with everything working then you can downgrade back to the 4.1 bootloader.
Here is the thread that will tell you how to downgrade the bootloader if you decide to do so.

Q1: You can still run Android 4.2.2 on the stock 4.1.1 bootloader, and you still are using the stock 4.1.1 bootloader. CM10.1 and AOKP do this.
Q2: When you flashed AOKP (which i used for a few months), did you format cache/dalvik/factory reset?

Switching Between Roms

I am new with this Asus Transformer TF300T device and i have still lot to learn, but what i have learned is Asus make ****ty bootloaders.
The situation with my device is now with newest nighty CM 11 and Scanno TWRP with Grimlock Kernel. I tested it couple of hours and it crashed one time. I would need the device 95% to play games and rest of time surfing internet. Thats mostly what i do with device and im wondering is the CM 11 best to it or is there something better. This is first custom Rom im testing and there is a little performance upgrade since Stock Rom but not much so im thinking the problem could be the nightly build so i would like to go back to some stable roms. Battery time is not priority 1 because i can charge the tablet daily and i have keyboard to it.
But the question is what is the best and fastest rom and what is easiest way to do it? Should i allways install the latest official Asus update to device that bootloader etc. will be stock and then install TWRP or is there other way? I think Android KitKat still need lot of fixing so i could go back to Android 4.3X or Android 4.2X which have been around very much longer and maybe better fixed. The little advices how to do that would be great same as what not to do.

If you really want speed, stability, and reliability, CROMi-x is a really good option in my opinion. I always have had a preference to AOSP ROMs, because of that I use CM or PAC or Omni or AOKP. 4.2.2 based on the stock ROM seems to fit all of your needs, nightlies tend to be more cutting edge, and with that comes unpredictability.

That CROMi-x seems to be good rom but im not completely sure will it work with newest stock rom which is 10.6.1.27.5 not 10.6.1.27.1 and how i get back to stock because now i have something other? And is my TWRP wrong? There is many of questions that i cant find answer from forums which is very strange. Usually there are guides for these things.
I would like to do this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2455922 to my tablet just in case but i dont know is my version right for that.
This is Exactly information from my tablet:
Model: TF300T
Android: 4.4.2
Kernel: 3.1.10 Grimlock CM_0.8
Cyanogenmod Version 11-20140120-Nightly-Tf300t
Build Number: CM_TF300T-userdebug 4.4.2 KOT49H
SELinux: Enforcing
So first things i need is how do i get back to newest stock rom 4.2.1 with 10.6.1.27.5 and will i need to install TWRP in that installing progress or how? Some help would be nice. If im correct the easiest way would be go back to Stock 10.6.1.27.1 and make the device unbreakable then flash TWRP and go to CROMI-X but i need to know how to do that. The biggest question is that TWRP.

Yes, you can do NvFlash Backups for your bootloader, I have them on mine. If you want some clarification, you can look here: http://goo.gl/aM2M3y

You can do NvFlash from the CM11 ROM you are on right now. Once you do that, you can reflash TWRP 2.6.3.1 and then factory reset from the recovery and then install CROMi-x.

CROMi-X works fine and is based from 10.6.1.27.5
Hi!
I cant post to android developement so i have to ask here. Does the CM11 OTA work if i have Grimlock kernel instead of the CM kernel and does it works if some of gapps etc have been deleted?
I would like to have some help how to do this: "You can do NvFlash from the CM11 ROM you are on right now. Once you do that, you can reflash TWRP 2.6.3.1 and then factory reset from the recovery and then install CROMi-x. "
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47902196#post47902196
What if i dont have "That is for stock Android Versions: 10.6.1.15.3 - 10.6.1.27.1." i have 10.6.1.27.5 or at least i had before i upgraded to CM or did the bootloader stays the same when upgrading to CM? Just does not show on the screen?
Sorry that my answering took so long here but i had other issues to do first Now i have time to play with this tablet. But the Cromi-X is what im going to have in my device but i need some help with it.

Yep you should be fine. The bootloader is the same for all three Stock ROMs.

[Completed] [Q] CWM for the projector Smartphone. Firmware issue?

Hi,
I recently downloaded CWM 6.0.5.0 for my SM-G3858 running Jelly Bean. The thing is that when I flashed it I got a triangle (so it doesn´t work), then after a couple of seconds android´s stock recovery boots up. So no brick, but I wonder why CWM reco does not boot up for me. It works for another user but this user has an older samsung firmware installed. So I thought that the issue could be that I have a newer Samsung Firmware, as this CWM build was compiled from an older Samsung firmware source. But as far as I know a CWM build should work even tho the firmware has slightly changed (newer fw is still 4.2.2 Jelly Bean tho). So what could be the issue? Any ideas?
Sir,
You have already pointed in the right direction here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/xda-assist/errors-cm11-built-t3057271
