Battery % stuck - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

I'm using cleanrom 2.5 wiped data, cache, dalvik and my battery drains down to 23% and doesn't change til it dies.
I've tried wiping battery stats in cwm and calibrating through battery calibration from play store.
Help?

i would just say reboot the phone but it doesn't seem like that will work.

Ok it's not the rom cause I just flashed the latest beans and it's doing it again
Last night I let it die then charged it back up. No luck.

Sounds like he's on the official OTA so reflashing isn't an option. Go to your wifi settings and hit your menu button. This will bring up "advanced" options. Uncheck all the boxes where wifi may be automatically searching for an access point. Hope this helps.
Thank you all..
My wifi now is ok after i go to recovery mode (default recovery mode) and wipe data/factory reset yesterday. Now battery status was normal,i got 16hr battery life and still have 23% more.

Offline charging?

I screwed up I let my phone totally die. I have icy snap on it. Is there a way to get it to charge? Should I be able to get it into recovery so it will charge? Right now it's just in a boot loop.

1)boot the phone.
Press the recovery combo i.e home+power+volume down
2)plug your charger
3)Wait for some mins.
4)Boot your phone

Thank you. It's been a pain for me. I ended up taking my back up phone with stock rom and using that to charge it. I will have to remember this in future.

I'm surprised it wouldn't boot on A/C with the battery. You should be able to boot your phone normally while plugged into A/C, without the battery installed. Once booted, put the battery in.

Cannot reboot after battery dies?

My One S, running TrickDroid 7, S on, fusion kernel, will not reboot after the battery dies and recharges. It hangs up on the splash screen.
Any idea?

You can't get into your recovery either?
Yes, I can boot into recovery but then what? I'd prefer not to have to wipe etc.
What about reinstalling rom and kernel without a wipe? This way all apps and data should still be there.

It boots up after reinstalling a backup image, but this should not happen every time the battery dies!
I guess I can reinstall the kernel but not sure if that has anything to do with it.
A hab the same problem twice with miui. I just reinstalled the rom and everything was fine again. I guess this can happen every time battery dies. So don't let it run out of power again.

battery percentage not accurate on mytouch 4g slide cm9.1

battery percentage not accurate on mytouch 4g slide cm9.1 ....i charged my phone for 6 hours it gives 36%,i unplug it and reboot it and it gives 94%,after another reboot it gives 72% just wondering why it keeps fluctuating and the batt stats as been wipe but still the same please kindly help
Try discharging it completely, then charge up to 100% without any breaks. Then, again empty the battery and charge to max. Then, for the third time, once you're done discharging and charging up to 100%, don't disconnect the charger, manually delete batterystats.bin in data/system, and then disconnect the charger.
...The above solution might work. Might. Yeah.
thanks please is there any other option?
Use Battery Monitor Widget. Put the widget on your home screen, monitor your battery at all times, gather enough data, and then calibrate it.
If that still does not solve the problem then... wipe cache, dalvik, flash a new kernel.
If that's no good either, then switch to another ROM.
If you still cannot see light at the end of the tunnel, then... buy a new battery.
If, even then, life still betrays you... then... thoroughly mix 2.34 grams of sugar and 5.09 grams of powdered gold in 155.71 grams of warm distilled water. Drink the mixture and hopefully, your life will change for the better.
I've got your back. :fingers-crossed:
thanks for getting back at me....my battery works great on the stock rom when i tried switching back but its just malfunction on cm9 and cm10 as well...i.e battery percentage not accurate...well,i will give it a try and please how do i flash a new kernel
Flash WildKernel Reloaded on either CM9 or CM10.
1. Download the zip file and copy it to your phone's SD card.
2. Boot your phone in Recovery. Wipe cache and dalvik cache.
3. Flash/Install the zip file.
4. Reboot your phone.
5. Empty the battery, charge to 100%, wipe batterystats, unplug charger.
That should do the trick. But if it still fails, try flashing a different ROM. AOKP, for instance.

This is something I've seen this device struggle with foor over a year. HTC failed this device and community.

Batterystats.bin is automatically wiped when the battery charge. So doing all that crazy calibration is honestly a waste of time.

I had to buy extra batteries if I wanted to stay on the bleeding edge of development.
For some reason CM9 was the same way and it took ages to fix. Its just something your going to have to compensate for if you plan on staying with the device.

Download kernel of choice...make sure your s-off then wipe cache and dalvik then flash in recovery or...if your s-on download kernel of choice. Flash it in recovery (for modules to be flashed) then boot into boot loader and run put the boot.img in your SDK/fastboot dir and run fastboot flash boot boot.img and reboot.
