Hey guys, I am on tapatlk and did a search but didn't find anything that helped me. I am trying to download from the market and am getting the error "Authentication failed log in to your google account", I am logged in to the account and can send and receive mail. I can neither open the Market or download items from the web version of the market. I have tried wiping data on the google apps, clearing cache and davlik, and multiple reboots. I have even tried restoring the market and its data with TB. I'm running prime 1.5 and I'm out of ideas, thought I would ask real quick for a solution before I reloaded prime. Thanks in advance.
Just a quick addition, i can access the market and install apps with my EVO just fine with the same account if it matters.
EDIT: Problem solved, I cleared data and cache for ALL google apps, setting, storage, accounts, etc, then rebooted to recovery and cleared cache and davlik. Then upon reboot presto everything started working again. Not exactly sure if this actually fixed it or if it was just a fluke, but thought I would post just in case it could help anybody in the future.

Right odd one here : story goes ive installed the new CM9 ics Nightly build for my nexus s and it installed all ok gapps work well sort of i cant log into my google account i can make a new one but not use my old one that has all my contacts and apps saved to it and emails and is set up right.
any idea why i can make new one and log in and do all but cant use my old one ive had years?
Hey.
Try to login through a PC to see if accound is active. If its ok, then probably its better to do a full backup and flash again the and then the latest release of the gapps for ics to see if that will work (if not just do a restore...) . by the way,do a clean install.
cheers.
If i helped u somehow hit thanks bt
Clean install?
When you flashed cm9 have you done a clean install, like clear cache 3 times, or any other thing to make sure that older system files weren't left?
Hi,
I'm using ported ics with badsouls rom. I get this error when I try to download something on the play store.
when I delete my google account and add it again after a reboot, I can download all the apps again.
But after some hours the error repeats. someone know how to fix the error? Could it be an error because of superchargerv6 and the modified services.jar file?
thank you for your help
What rom are you using?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2021722 this one
edit: oh sorry my fault, while linking the thread, I read that badsoul fixed the error.
what is the best solution to install the newer rom without deleting all my apps / settings?

There isn't a way that I know of where you don't need to wipe data. I just use titanium backup to backup all my apps and settings.
Go to settings/account and sync remove your account. then re-add it.. and wait until it sync completely try that and let me know..
you can flash the new rom ontop of the other without wiping.. i recommend wiping cache and delvik
I installed v1.1, but have the same problem.
I even downloaded a new phonesky.apk like suggested in badsouls thread.
After I wipe cache / dalvkit and delete google account, I can download apps short after it.
But after some hours the problem comes back.
wipe
you can wipe data or reFlash rom .
I did already both, but error is still their.
I got NEWMAN N1 , some application were fine to install with Market some others (like Instagam) )I got error (RPC:..)
Finally I solved it by install via Chrom browser.
I don't want to re install account, why to do it ? , gmail is fine... all is fine...
Why google can't fix this LAME error
Hello,
I am looking for some asisstance - and in a hurry because i am trying to get my tablet updated before i leave on a flight tomorrow and this is driving me insane.
I have a p5113 with CM10.1 installed on my tablet. (for p5110). I cannot download anything from the google play store -- can't update apps, nothing. I have tried reinstalling two different roms to see if that was the issue, I've cleared the data from the google service framework, google play store, google play services, downloads, download manager and then rebooting. I've tried two different networks.
I can download other .apks normal, and I can use my browser just fine.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Would going back to stock even help? I tried going to stable releases, but that didn't work either.
Go to settings, remove google account. Then Try wiping the data for google play services and google play again. Then reboot to recovery. Wipe cache and dalvik cache. Reboot and see if it works. Btw when you flshed your gapps did you verify the md5 first?

I had not checked the md5, but i just did and all is well with the md5. (never knew how! learn something new everyday ) I'm trying things in that order that you listed again. I think I did, but I may have missed a step.

it did go through a different screen that said 'android is upgrading', and it was updating 86 apps, but to no avail, nothing had changed. i checked the md5's for both files (the cm file and the gapps file) and everything checked out fine.
would a restore do anything?
I think I may have pinpointed the issue.
So my phone updates fine on 3g, but when i switch to wifi, it doesn't work. It does the same thing as tablet.
I read something on a website about about there being issues for someone as a DNS problem.
The only thing is that when I tried to use my phone as a hotspot using 3G, it still didn't work on my tablet.
arrrggg i don't know. restore didn't work.

Coming from Embryo due to the Cymbaline death screen.
Had some issues with the black boot screen here using TWRP for wipe/install. Moved to CWM6037 and I'm up and running, however the calendar app is not showing calendar appointments from exchange accounts. It lists the accounts as "synced" but nothing is shown in the calendar.
Any ideas?
Looking like a great ROM so far.

Email_exchange byo is installed. Just re-installed it (removed email accounts, force stopped calendar/calendar storage and cleared data. Also cleared data on the email exchange app.) Then re-added the exchange email account. Account shows up as "corporate" and has a status of synced with nothing showing in the calendar. The only ROM's I have ever had full calendar functionality were stock, Mohan's and an early ICS ROM. Most of the CM or AOSP/AOKP seem to have had this same problem.
I had also tried doing the install by installing CWM then TWRP to wipe/install. It still produced the black screen on reboot.

thnks for testing twrp, some users had twrp working if using cwm 6037 to install it.
as for calendar w/exchange accounts, if it doesn't work on a normal cm10.2 build then it wont on superlite
edit: you can try the stock email exchange apps from stock roms, heres a link from my superlite Samsung byo app rogers http://d-h.st/RZU, or att http://d-h.st/zla ,backup b4 flashing

I'll give the recovery swapping another go as soon as I have a setup nandroid.
My phone has been put to some extensive use, I think my USB port is on its way out. It's possible that there are some other internal HW issues that are causing the black screen to continue where others have had success.
I'll post an update when I get a chance.
BTW...did a 3rd install of the email_exchange.zip and its working fine now. Not sure wtf happened there.
Can we use the apollo.zip (music player) from your CM10.2 ROM with this ROM?

weird the it worked the third time, probably needs google acount to work and/or needs time to link upto to the account, I test using the stock calendar and it syncs fine with google calender
any music player should work, it seems there is no stock music player with aokp, well I didn't see it, im new to aokp and I think im liking it
a user on pac had success flashing twrp 2.6.3.0 using cwm6037 to install it, but I never had issues using twrp
For black screen reboots, try using CWM for the 1st 4.3 install, then change to TWRP and see if it's not fine after that. Don't restore anything made pre CWM install or the problem returns.

I added this info to the op, could be a solution for users experiencing black screen on the 1st reboot on 4.3 roms
This rom has been great for the day I've run it. Great battery, bt works! Great job vincom! I'm running only with mail, browser, and calender added. Installed with twrp 2.6.3.0.

Have you heard anyone experiencing the black screen on the 2nd reboot? The first reboot with TWRP 2.6.3.0 on 4.3 ROMS works perfectly, it is until the 2nd, where it takes a minute to come up the boot animation and fine afterwards. This also applied when I restored CM10.2, but in that case, had the black screen immediately after rebooting the system.

needs compatible kernel, cm is not
since the kernel is cm and hence compatible for the sr so we can flash aokp the fcharge wont work, I don't know if uber or moretz kernel would be as I haven't tested those
Opening the gallery app causes system reboot.
I have not tried opening it with no pictures on my SD card. I can test this if needed.
Thanks.
