[Q] Opening some Apps gets frozen - Galaxy Tab 7.7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Sometimes when i open the Phone app, the Contacts app or the Message app, it gets busy, and shows a black screen, then it takes some minutes to finally open. I think it happens when the Gmail contacts are syncing, and sometimes the Gmail contacts syncing doesn´t finish quickly even being connected to a wifi and i have not more than 300 contacts.
Any help will be good. Thanks in advance

[Q] Email app is crashing when using exchange account

Greetings,
Android version: 2.2.2
HW: LG G2x
Unlocked phone from Tmobile, currently using other provider.
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9
Build number: FRG83G
Software version: LG-P999-V10f
Problem description:
##############
After setting up my exchange email account (at work) using the email app, it finished successfully, but exactly after I finished - the app just crashed, and I returned back to home page.
When trying to open it back - it just crashed again - not letting me any option to enter.
... sometimes I saw a white screen for couple of seconds...
I forced the app to stop and cleared the data and configured it again and the issue keep on happening.
I tried configure it several times in several different ways - but it seems like it can't work with the exchange account - just keep on crashing.
When I go to settings ==> applications ==> Running services, I see this app in "Restarting" mode - all the time...
Does anyone know how to resolve this annoying issue?
Your assistance is much appreciated.

[Q] i9003 issue: Address book keeps getting deleted, any solutions?

Hi everybody, i have the phone since oct 2011, tired of waiting for a kies 2.3.x i installed 2.3.5 and later 2.3.6 (never installed any mod, only official ROMS )using links and tutorials from this forum... works great, except for a fatal flaw: every 7-10 days tops ( but it happened 3 times in a single week) my address book randomly disappears in the middle of the day... e.g. i'm texting on whatsapp and suddenly instead of the contact name there's only the number... when i go for the address book i always find this exact situation:
- no numbers, no emails, no social... tabula rasa, blank
- if i try and change the visualization options, until i reboot the phone i can't even see the contacts in my SIM ( and when i reboot they magically reappear, they seem to be untouched), and nothing seems to be working, google account contacts are still safe on the server but the phone seems to be unable to see them ( works flawlessly in every other internet-related task)
after a while, and a reboot, and a restore from a backup i have on my microsd, situation seems to be back to normal, i can go back to visualizing only google contacts, sim and phone book both off... until it happens again, and again, and again...
did this happen to any of you, too? is there any way it can be fixed? it's really grinding my gears :\

This happened to me 3 days ago when using CM9, only thing i did was checking my contacts, played a little, checked the contacts again to get a number, and bam. EMPTY.
I wasn't convinced so i plugged the phone to my PC and launched moborobo, and guess what.. the contacts are there.
Got my numbers backed up, deleted the whole contacts there (invisible, from moborobo) and restored backed up contacts, didn't happen from that day.

Accounts and settings disappearing on reboot

Hello,
I'm using a Motorola Milestone (EU version of the Droid), with the last version of CM7.
Everytime I reboot my device, some settings and accounts disappear, such as Twitter, Whatsapp, keyboard settings (Swype), or default phone number for contacts. It has been happening for a while now (about a month), I re-did all the wipes this last week-end and it keeps on happening, which is quite annoying.
Thanks for the help

All apps are crashing

Hiya guys.
I have a Galaxy Tab 10.1 2 and been on Cyanogenmod for the last 2 years or so, updating now and then. The tab has been fine, for months, then yesterday, I turn it on, go to check FB, Twitter etc and basically, all of my apps now crash on start up. FB comes up with a blue screen saying 'FB cannot connect, please restart your device to open it', Twitter, Ebay, Titanium Backup, BBC News plus a load of others just crash as soon as you click on them.
If I restart, it's fine, for an hour or so and then, bang, it starts it again. So, last night, I did a factory reset and entered boot mode to format the whole thing. I got the latest mod from Cyanogenmod and installed that. This morning, the same thing.
As I've been typing this, I've had the following messages :
Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped (several times)
The process android.process.acore has stopped
Trebuchet has stopped (I've been on Nova for as long as I can remember though)
Google+ has stopped
Media storage has stopped
Google Play has stopped
Googe Search has stopped
The process com.google.process.media has stopped
Also, I have Juice Defender and Avast always running, they seem to crash and I have to manually restart them. JD doesn't let me restart, saying I have to uninstall and reinstall, but, by then, I can't get into Google Play store, since it'll just crash.
The info in about tablet is as follows :
Model number - GT-P5100
Android version - 4.4.2
Baseband version - P5100XXLE4
Kernal version - [email protected] #3
CPU - ARMv7 Processor rev 3 (v71)
Memory - 808mb
Cyanogenmod version - 11-20140501-MARKOX89-p5100
Build date - gio 1 mag2014, 08:50.42 CEST
Build number - cm_p5100-userdebug 4.4.2 KVT49L 91433193e1 test-keys
SELinux status Permissive
I hadn't changed anything from the night before and it's been running fine for the past year or so. The only thing I didn't update was FB, since I hate the new layout, so I was on an older version, but apart from that, I've not installed anything new and all the updates (which I can't remember now) were all standard, from the Play store. I'm careful about emails and downloading from anywhere, but I cannot for the life of me figure out what's causing this.
Please help!
I had most these problems right after updating. (Today)
I had to flash the latest gapps wipe cache and update all apps.

FB Messenger Lite shows notifications for message that were already seen on PC

Hello gyus,
Does somebody have same problem as me? I noticed strange behavior of Messenger Lite on my stock Android 8.0 Galaxy S9+ (exynos) since Messeger Lite update v35. That was major update, when it started to target Oreo api. Issue is still present since then even with latest version v42.
When my phone is offline and I am using facebook chat on PC and then when I turn phone`s wifi or 4G on, it goes crazy with Messenger lite notifications. I shows notification for every message I received when using FB on PC also with sound and then it disappears immediately (because obviusly message was already read on PC). It is super annoying, because it keeps doing that notificaiton sound for 10 seconds or so (depends on how many messages did I send using PC before). I have tried to remove its data and cache few times already, clean installation and it seems that all versions past version 35 are doing that. It forces me to roll back to version 34, but I miss some new recently added features then (ability to add any attachment, play Gifs...)
Thank you for help

Decompile the latest version of the app, then decompile the version 34 of the app, look through the version 34 app's files to find the parts that control what you want to change, the parts that are not in the latest version of the app, then add the parts from version 34 that controls how notifications are handled, to the latest version so that the latest version also perform a the way you want it. Then re-compile and sign the .apk, then install it.

Thank you for suggestion, but I am not that familiar with android development, to be able to do that now...
But if there is anybody with more advanced skills who can do that, then it will be appreciated
