All apps are crashing - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hiya guys.
I have a Galaxy Tab 10.1 2 and been on Cyanogenmod for the last 2 years or so, updating now and then. The tab has been fine, for months, then yesterday, I turn it on, go to check FB, Twitter etc and basically, all of my apps now crash on start up. FB comes up with a blue screen saying 'FB cannot connect, please restart your device to open it', Twitter, Ebay, Titanium Backup, BBC News plus a load of others just crash as soon as you click on them.
If I restart, it's fine, for an hour or so and then, bang, it starts it again. So, last night, I did a factory reset and entered boot mode to format the whole thing. I got the latest mod from Cyanogenmod and installed that. This morning, the same thing.
As I've been typing this, I've had the following messages :
Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped (several times)
The process android.process.acore has stopped
Trebuchet has stopped (I've been on Nova for as long as I can remember though)
Google+ has stopped
Media storage has stopped
Google Play has stopped
Googe Search has stopped
The process com.google.process.media has stopped
Also, I have Juice Defender and Avast always running, they seem to crash and I have to manually restart them. JD doesn't let me restart, saying I have to uninstall and reinstall, but, by then, I can't get into Google Play store, since it'll just crash.
The info in about tablet is as follows :
Model number - GT-P5100
Android version - 4.4.2
Baseband version - P5100XXLE4
Kernal version - [email protected] #3
CPU - ARMv7 Processor rev 3 (v71)
Memory - 808mb
Cyanogenmod version - 11-20140501-MARKOX89-p5100
Build date - gio 1 mag2014, 08:50.42 CEST
Build number - cm_p5100-userdebug 4.4.2 KVT49L 91433193e1 test-keys
SELinux status Permissive
I hadn't changed anything from the night before and it's been running fine for the past year or so. The only thing I didn't update was FB, since I hate the new layout, so I was on an older version, but apart from that, I've not installed anything new and all the updates (which I can't remember now) were all standard, from the Play store. I'm careful about emails and downloading from anywhere, but I cannot for the life of me figure out what's causing this.
Please help!

I had most these problems right after updating. (Today)
I had to flash the latest gapps wipe cache and update all apps.

[Q] Multiple updates in market results in reboot [EOS 81]

Hi
I need help.. I've encountered a problem last week that forced me to reflash stock images , see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1461658
And now I fear the same problem is coming again.
When I update multiple apps in market, I'm taken back to the login screen (vm crash? don't know enough android) and after trying to slide to unlock, reboot
I've posted my logcat here (in 3 parts, 280kb)
http://paste.debian.net/159757/
http://paste.debian.net/159758/
http://paste.debian.net/159759/
This log shows:
I restarted my xoom, restarted my router.
It gets a connection, I go in googleplay, click update all (3 packages: titanium, google earth and another one I can't remember)
Sent to login, no wireless connection, trying to unlock, reboot after 30s (watchdog probably)
The tablet is freshly reinstalled, I have like 30 known apps from the market. I have eos 81 but problem was also there on 75. and latest gapps. 216Mhz-1000 and no wifiN.
Don't know what to do.
If more info is needed, ask, I'm sure this will happen again at the next update.
Thank you
Did you do a full wipe-factory data reset before you flashed EOS 81 and GAPPS?
If it crashes after you try to update those 3 packages ... don't update them.
Backup your apps with Titanium -Unroot/re-root - reinstall your apps one by one. It might be a problem app -

From the link I gave
"In CWM, Factory reset didn't work,"

Here are the apps:
Wattpad
Adobe reader
Android term emulator
Asphalt 6
aTorrent
CPU Spy
Dolphin
FBReader
Fing
Google Earth
GPS Essentials
GTA3
HP eprint
Lumberjack
MX Video player
Orbot
Root Explorer
SpeedHUD
SSHDroid
SuperUser
Tapatalk pro
Titanium pro
TuneIn Radio
Where's my water
Wifi Analyzer
Wireless Thether for Root
XDA Premium
Zen Pinball THD
Only two apps running: orbot (that I didn't have installed before) and sshdroid.
I could yes although I'm sceptic it would create googleplay crash and tablet reboot.
edit: I just erased userdata and only reinstalled the strict minimum, that is.. terminal emulator let's see. not sure how I will see the problem if I have so few apps meaning so few updates
I've had this exact same problem since I updated my (STOCK) Xoom WiFi to ICS (4.0.2).
When updating multiple apps in Google Market (now Google Play, same problem) if screen timeouts (I have mine set to 1 minute), if I press power button to re-enable the screen... BAM! reboot. I updated yesterday to ICS 4.0.4 (as I mentioned, STOCK... never rooted) and tried to update about 20 apps, when screen timeouts I immediately press the power button to re-enable the screen... REBOOT. It continued the update that was interrupted when it rebooted tho.
Don't know what to do... This is stock and I do not want to root it if I can avoid it.

[Q] Moto G frequent crashing after 4.4.3 update

I have Moto G unlocked single sim no sd slot version bought directly from google in USA. Phone is NOT rooted.
A couple of weeks ago I got OTA update 4.4.3, since then it has been randomly crashing e.g.
- I am on phone for 30+ minutes using earphone, then suddenly (without me even touching my phone) I see it rebooting automatically
- Google maps makes it hang very very frequently. To get anywhere I have to get directions at least 3 times. Sometimes the app freezes, sometimes phone crashes
I have seen following apps crash - dialer, google maps, waze
I have not seen following apps crash - Camera, viber, whatsapp, chrome, clock, tinder, settings
As mentioned elsewhere, I have also booted in recovery mode and cleared system cache, but it did not stabilize the phone.
Anybody else has this issue?

[Q] Play Store v. 5.1.1 crashes immediately upon opening, HELP!

This issue has just started happening to me over the past 2-3 days, and I cannot figure out a permanent fix for it! Let me start by saying that my OPO is not rooted, and the only updates to the ROM have been the official ones that have been released (I'm currently on CM version 11.0-XNPH44S). Every time I attempt to open the Play Store, it crashes immediately afterward with the "unfortunately google play store has stopped" error. I looked at the error report and it states : [CRASH] com.android.vending threw java.lang.IllegalArguementException as the subject then the first line of the content reads: "java.lang.illegalarguementexception: view android.widget.listview{41ab7730 VFED.VC. .F...... 0,0-1080,1845 #7f0a02dd app:id/play_drawer_list} is not a drawer".
I know nothing about Java, so I have no idea what this means, and there are 18 lines of equally incomprehensible text after that. I've tried clearing the data, cache, etc. from the app with no change. The only thing that works is when I uninstall the updates, taking the Play Store back to v. 4.9.13. However, in almost all cases it auto-updates immediately back to 5.1.1, so I'm still not able to use it. I read somewhere about disabling the background data usage in settings, but then you're not allowed to download anything from the store.
Is anyone else having the same issue, or can you suggest an idea as to how to fix it without my rooting the device and having to back up the nearly 700 apps I have on it? TYSM in advance!

G3 acting buggy, advice?

I'm using stock Android 5.0.1 on my G3 on AT&T (D850).
Recently my phone has been really buggy. I was randomly using the web browser and then my phone started freezing up, and then wouldn't load up apps. It restarted itself and when it did half my contacts had no names.
No browser was working so I factory reset the phone but then my problems continued:
-all web browsers will still randomly crash when browsing
- apps will get a "Unfortunately, X has stopped" error. Most common is Google Play Services (which I've uninstalled updates and cache several times) but other apps like Messaging or even Settings can fail
- some apps just won't open over time. They'll work fine but then force close, and then any subsequent attempt to open it will force close it immediately
I still have a month on my warranty but would rather not send my phone in. Do you think that rooting my phone and installing a new ROM would fix these issues? If so which rooting method would you suggest and any suggestions on ROMs would be appreciated

Did you perform a factory reset? Try that first.

I did two factory resets. Nothing changed
If you are on 21r, I think it is something with the update. My phone went crazy the first go even after factory reset. I reverted back to KK, installed all updates again, and haven't had much issue. Occasionally, something glitches but not a show stopper. I'm thinking the update to patch stagefright is buggy.

FB Messenger Lite shows notifications for message that were already seen on PC

Hello gyus,
Does somebody have same problem as me? I noticed strange behavior of Messenger Lite on my stock Android 8.0 Galaxy S9+ (exynos) since Messeger Lite update v35. That was major update, when it started to target Oreo api. Issue is still present since then even with latest version v42.
When my phone is offline and I am using facebook chat on PC and then when I turn phone`s wifi or 4G on, it goes crazy with Messenger lite notifications. I shows notification for every message I received when using FB on PC also with sound and then it disappears immediately (because obviusly message was already read on PC). It is super annoying, because it keeps doing that notificaiton sound for 10 seconds or so (depends on how many messages did I send using PC before). I have tried to remove its data and cache few times already, clean installation and it seems that all versions past version 35 are doing that. It forces me to roll back to version 34, but I miss some new recently added features then (ability to add any attachment, play Gifs...)
Thank you for help

Decompile the latest version of the app, then decompile the version 34 of the app, look through the version 34 app's files to find the parts that control what you want to change, the parts that are not in the latest version of the app, then add the parts from version 34 that controls how notifications are handled, to the latest version so that the latest version also perform a the way you want it. Then re-compile and sign the .apk, then install it.

Thank you for suggestion, but I am not that familiar with android development, to be able to do that now...
But if there is anybody with more advanced skills who can do that, then it will be appreciated
