It would help if you provided some info. What device are you using? Have you tried flashing Gapps?

Read through the ROM's thread to see if its a known issue. If not, try reporting it there (or ask in your device's section).
Maybe its just not included? You can always install a 3rd party camera anyways, or find any CM10 ROM and extract the camera app from that and install on your device.

It's not going to work. You're going to reflash your O/S. Launcer will fail to open all the apps are crashing left and right!! Don't do it.

I have recently flashed my device with CM 10.1 and when i try to open camera it says ** Can't connect to camera ** . I have tried almost everything. Even FIX CAMERA CM10.1 BY Linq'z Qirls'z Chinese and too may other tutorials too , but nuthing has worked for me Please help.

just install latest build cm10.1.2 and camera will work and use camera jb+ for video recording

Yes, the camera problem was fixed but need to fix by yourself after flashing CM10.1.2.
In that android development, you can find out what you need because someone had asked those problem concerned.
Just check it out and happy flashing 4.2.2 for S7500.

Yes I am using costum rom by cm-10.1-20131027-TechKang-trebon but my flash camera doesnt work but in Torch apps my flash camera work normally. Whats wrong with my flash? if this case caused by custom rom, do you have a noramal costum rom that make my flash camera work normally?? Thanks so much

Bro i think you did not read the discription before you flash the rom because if you did you will not ask this question. All jb rom in ace plus camera flash is not working and has a battery drain issue, etc. Just read all the jb rom in ace plus forum they most likely had same the issue. And a little advice read first the rom thread b4 you flash:thumbup: and for camera flash, no sulution yet. Just use the torch as flash if you take photo:thumbup::beer:

Why did you flash an unstable unofficial rom???!!
You can flash any stable rom android 2.3.6 based and there will no bugs like inspiration rom or something like this

I've installed Google camera apk on my nexus 5, and whenever I try to enable HDR my camera crashes. Then I have to clear camera data in order to use camera again.
What am I doing wrong?

so you installed the camera apk.. im assuming that you are not running stock or a stock based rom, what rom are you running?

cm doesnt include the libs that are needed for hdr to work. look for a flashable camera with all the libs included.

I did that too. Once that failed, I installed the stock camera apk. I've also installed PA gapps.

what gapps are you using? have you tried a different gapps? and i believe pa has a seperate flashible full cam(panarama and such), have you tried flashing it?

i must rename camera2 paranoid apk to.. Google camera now i have the update ... before i have 2 app camera and Google camera.. but .. now compare hdr but when i tap it app crashs... now i reset data and cache but same problem i believe that needs.. lib.. do you have lib.zip to flash?
There is a pa Google camera zip should be in the gapps thread. You have to have the stock camera on your phone then one from play store will overwrite it.

Please google something like Android recovery TWRP or CWM. It lets you install the .zip from recovery. Turn off phone, hold down "volume -" and press the power button.
This will get you into recovery. Always make a backup BTW before you flash anything. I will not be responsible for bricked devices.
Search recovery here in xda also.

Fix
Try disabling Google services or freeze it using titanium backup and then open the camera app. This worked for me.

This did not work. Is this the same fix posted by slim? It appears you need an account to d/l the fix on slimRom but can't register an account lol.
