I have a new Nvidia Shield 32Gig with Lollipop 5.0.1 on its way to me and I would like to know if there is an easy way to Root android 5.0.1 can someone please point me to a step by step guide I have looked at some of the threads and they seem to refer to rooting before the 5.0.1 update can someone please help me out with this and I am sorry if this has been asked before.

Check out the Nvidia Shield Tablet index thread, you can find there almost all important threads for this device. If not, post your questions or new threads in this index.
There are two root threads for Lollipop available: il nummero uno e due. Hope this is helpful.
Hi everyone, I have phone mention above brought from Korea and I need you guys to assist me on each single step to install custom ROM of my choice let say 4.4.2 kitkat now I am running adroind jellybean 4.1.2. I'm new here and I'm writing with my n900 note 3.....which I wanna root and custom rom to pure android lollipop 5.0 experience
But the problem is.... I dont know ANYTHING about it...nothing at all...
So if you can help me in a simple step by step that'd be great

Learn for yourself howto do things. NO-ONE will make you a step by step guide. As they already EXIST!

need to install cyanogen os on my device ......... searched all the threads but all are very tech savy. i am not a person with such knowldge about all these stuff . can any one say me the STEP BY STEP instruction on how to install the os without damaging my phone. tried the wiki page of cyanogen but no use. kindly guide me.

I have heard from my friend that it's needed to root my phone first, but I have no idea how to do it.
