Hello!
I want to flash Real ics 6 to my lww with locked bootloader but can't! I mean, i tried like three times following the instructions step-to-step but I would always get stuck at the first boot( black screen). Do you know a way to flash it with unlocked bootloader and worked for you?
Would it be better to unlock the bootloader and install a kernel? But how do I do that? Fastboot? Flashtools? The only instructions on kernels is
1. flash via fastboot
and nothing else...
And, yes, you guesed it! I am a noobie! But how do I get to be a pro if I don't become a noobie first?
Thank you for your answers!

As I know Real ICS wants custom kernal. It is impossible to flash custom kernel with locked bootloader. So 1st you have to unlock the bootloader and flash a custom kernal.

did you follow the steps for locked bootloader in the Real ICS r6 Aroma installer? If not, with the steps to reproduce the problem u r facing, drop a direct message to Kobzaar (developer of Real ics). He will revert with the solution for sure

You don't need to flash a kernel, it is recomend for those who have the bootloader unlock, you just follow the steps in the post of the RealICS6 for the locked bootloaders.
every think work on this ROM?
1.Factory reset in cwm
2.wipe cache partition
3.wipe dalvik cache
4.Format /system (in mounts and storage)
5.Format /cache
6.Format /Data
Try this and if it doesn't work then i think it's only for unlocked bootloader mate...
I am also having the same problem. I tried a few times already & followed all the instructions. I have an unlocked bootloader, but I can't recall whether I am on a custom kernel right now (last remember flashing the cm9). Is that the problem? If so, what do I do? Flash a kernel using flashtool & then follow the steps? & which custom kernel do I flash? Can someone give me a suggestion?

So I have a ns4g that I attempted to root but got hung up and am now stuck with a unlocked bootloader but no super user. So as I see it I have 3 options (if you see others PLEASE TELL ME)
1. somehow get my bootloader locked again and go back to stock (unroot)
2. keep unlocked bootloader and eventually accept ics ota (will this be ok or will having an unlocked bootloader much things up with the ota?)
3. figure out a way to finish the root process I'm sort of in the middle of (aka get super user)
If it matters I am running 2.3.7 and using a macbook running 10.7.2
What would you guys suggest?

flash a custom recovery(cwm or twrp) via fastboot, then flash a custom rom(and gapps). thats all you need. all the custom roms out there have root. you dont have to flash superuser.
How do I flash cwm? I think when I did this before I had the wrong version as it didn't allow for me to mount after I unlocked the bootloader
Use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1250583 to root! It will recognize that your bootloader is already unlocked and skips to flashing CMW and giving you root! There's a youtube video showing it in action if you get stuck by qbking!
Will this work with osx?

heres the latest version of cwm recovery for the nexus s(not ns4G) http://download.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.0-crespo.img
heres where all the cwm recoveries can be found, including the ns4g http://clockworkmod.com/rommanager
Ok, now how do I get that img on my phone?
The cwm for ns4g that I just downloaded that is
I'm fairly content just waiting for the google ics ota... when that comes will it mess my phone up because of my unlocked bootloader?
or even better can someone write me instructions to lock my bootloader?
I found this forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=875630
But obviously there are steps before this to have the terminal put these commands towards the phone.

look at part 3 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1007782
only you dont need superuser, any custom rom has root.
Ok, I think I just want to relock my phone and wait for the ota...
I've tried just going into terminal and typing "fastboot oem lock" and it says that the command is not found... what did I do wrong?
You don't need to lock bootoader to get ota.
I've read before that accepting an ota with an unlocked bootloader will brick your phone... Can anyone else confirm that it's ok to accept the eventual ota with an unlocked bootloader?
I have no ROM installed, Clock Work Recovery is gone and to make it worse my bootloader is re-locked. Is there NO way to save my phone?
Use the unlock_code.bin token htcdev emailed you to unlock it, then flash a recovery or you can run a ruu and that will get you back up n running with a clean slate. Anytime you relock the bootloader this will happen. Easy fix and your far from bricked so dont worry. Hope this helps, let me know if u have anymore questions

I unlocked my bootloader how do I flash my recovery since the method I used before doesn't work.
EDIT I flashed the older version CWM which doesnt allow me to mount USB storage, which I need to do so I can get my ROM on my phone to install. How do I flash the new version (which remedies this problem) since the instructions here didnt help http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/99

Download the image file, then run:
fastboot flash recovery <filename.img>
While your phone is in fast boot mode while connected to your PC
It seems to hang when I try to do that
EDIT
I changed USB ports all is good. Thank you all for the help.

To unroot your One S you need relock your device and than flash a stock RUU that is constistent with your CID.
That is assuming you've not yet installed a custom rom. If you have, I believe you need to run a stock recovery first.

No, the RUU installs the stock recovery automatically.
Just search for a tutorial that explains how you install RUU.
There should be a lot around here.
I'm on the road at the moment so I can't search for you.
Maybe later.
Please tell us where you live and if you have a S3 or a S4 version

OK, so when you relocked your bootloader, this problem started, right?
did you flash a custom kernel before relocking your bootloader? if yes, then that's what we call "hard brick" for devices.
alright, here's what you have to do:
1) Don't panic, panicking makes things worse
2) flash stock kernel using flashtool (you don't have to re-flash the whole firmware) and you're done!
your phone will get back to life when you flash stock kernel :good:
hope this helps

Nexus 5 stuck in bootloop with locked bootloader ..Can anyone help me with procces to stock flash it? ? Thanks in advance
You can flash stock images without unlocked bootloader.
If you want to flash stock, you can unlock the bootloader, which will wipe all data, and flash a stock Google ROM using a script. You could also use the NRT: http://www.wugfresh.com/nrt/

That toolkit is handy for many uses. Glad I don't have to use it much. Still have it installed on my laptop just in case.
