[Q] Native USB tethering not working CM9 - Samsung Galaxy SL i9003

Couldn't find a helpful post regarding this, so started a new thread.
I have CM9 base Ehndroix rom installed 12.8.26 build. My native USB tether is not functioning. Third party apps work. Is this bug device specific? Because it's otherwise not listed in the not working features?
Also is there any way I can get the original google apps? This rom has the black gapps provided. They are nice but i personally prefer the original ones.
Thanks

It is one of the bugs in current CM9 builds.... 3rd party apps work fine.

Yes, I totally agree! Did you find a solution already,?
I tried the same as you and didn't succeed either.
I also like the Miui contact app. Would be great if some Miui developer could help us out.
I'm interested to know why default Miui apps don't always (or always don't) work on non Miui roms...

[Q] Custom ROMS with working BT4.0/BLE

I am getting the itch to put on a custom ROM of my GS3, but I have a Fitbit One and would like for it to continue to update over the phone. I've tried CM10.1, but it appears that there is a problem with the BT4.0 and the phone doesn't want to try to connect to the fitbit. I'm not close to a computer much currently to update the fitbit.
TL: DR- Is there a working ROM where the BT4.0/BLE is working somewhat properly?
Thanks in advance.
I'm looking for the same thing. I switched back to a Stock variant to get BT4 working and the Stock ROM is total garbage after using Cyanogen Mod. I don't want to have to choose one or the other!
There is not a single ROM out there at the moment that has Bluetooth 4.0 working. Google has not released or included a lib file for it to work. Sure our devices have the hardware but the software has no clue how to utilize it. Maybe next version of android will have it.
The 4.1.2 Omega ROM was working for me. The ROM will need to be based off of Samsung's official as it will need their hacked Bluetooth stack - they worked directly wth Fitbit to get it up and running. I've since upgraded to the Omega 4.2.2 AOKP ROM and it no longer works (which I expected).
BLE
The only ROM that i've found with working BT4/BLE is the one by beanstown.. i do confirm it working just fine for my fitbit flex.

I have a fitbit as well and I am trying to figure out what it would take to get it working with CyanogenMod. I flashed an unofficial 10.2 (4.3) and still no luck with the fitbit.
try the 4.3 version of CM in teh development section? I thought this was an added or fixed feature in teh newest version of android. not too sure though.

CyanogenMod for my 10.1 Galaxy Tab 2?

I want to use CyanogenMod for my 10.1 Galaxy Tab 2.
The main reason is I want the native Android Multi User support.
This is a big deal for me.
However, few questions:
1. Which version of CyanogenMod is best in terms of reliabilty and speed? It must have the multi user support.
2. What features will I lose on my Tab if I run this ROM? I hear we lose connectivity with Samung TV's?
3. Will I be able to completely remove an app such as 'maps'...as I require installation of an older version for my work. The latest updates remove features I need.
3. Anything else I need to know?
Thank you!
1. Which version of CyanogenMod is best in terms of reliabilty and speed? It must have the multi user support.
I've used 10.2 from the development forum ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2391355 ). It's pretty stable and is multi-user.

Any app that depends on the touchwiz framework won't work on a non-Samsung ROM. As far as controlling you TV; CM10.2 and PAC-ROM both have support for IR.
3. Will I be able to completely remove an app such as 'maps'...as I require installation of an older version for my work. The latest updates remove features I need.
If you're rooted you can remove maps, but you'd need something to keep Play store from updating it.
3. Anything else I need to know?
You've got to be rooted to do any of this.
Cm 10.2 is stable, fast, smooth. I use with dhollmen kernel and I made 12,2k in antutu. But you lose TV connectivity and IR blaster
I will ask here...
Im using CM10.2 and so happy with it...
I am thinking of buying a MHL HDTV adapter for my Galaxy Tab 2 p5100...
The question is... will it work on CM10.2??
Thank you...

Which STOCK based ROM?

Hello there,
I'm using temasek ROM and I like it a lot, but it miss the great STOCK camera and the ANT+ support.
What's your best STOCK based ROM, possibly with the possibility to change theme so it can looks like ASOP roms?
Thanks!
if you want to change your theme you have to look for s6 port rom like Darklord or others that have theme store program .
Thanks!
Does it has ant+ support?

If you want to have ANT+ support just download the application from the play store to utilize the hardware and software
Yeah, I can do this even now, but the app costs 10€ or so and it has several problems, I tried it.
So I'm searching for a ROM that has native ant+ support like the stock one.
First things first you have posted in the wrong section. Please get a moderator to move/delete/lock this thread as you should but this in the Q&A section...
All touchwizz roms have ant. And darklord is far from being a stock rom.
I recommend audax or if you're really looking for a stock experience try alexandr developer base.

Ported HTC apps.

Hi,
I was asking myself if someone ported the HTC camera and lockscreen to other phones.
I already tried to install the apk's just like that but it doesn't work. Can this work ?
I am running CM 13 on a Samsung Galaxy s5 Mini
Thanks.
camera is already ported.please use search before opening a thread.lockscreen needs framework to work so no ports
this might work for you too. if not there is another thread
