Which STOCK based ROM? - Galaxy Note 3 Android Development

Hello there,
I'm using temasek ROM and I like it a lot, but it miss the great STOCK camera and the ANT+ support.
What's your best STOCK based ROM, possibly with the possibility to change theme so it can looks like ASOP roms?
Thanks!

if you want to change your theme you have to look for s6 port rom like Darklord or others that have theme store program .

Thanks!
Does it has ant+ support?

If you want to have ANT+ support just download the application from the play store to utilize the hardware and software

Yeah, I can do this even now, but the app costs 10€ or so and it has several problems, I tried it.
So I'm searching for a ROM that has native ant+ support like the stock one.

First things first you have posted in the wrong section. Please get a moderator to move/delete/lock this thread as you should but this in the Q&A section...

All touchwizz roms have ant. And darklord is far from being a stock rom.
I recommend audax or if you're really looking for a stock experience try alexandr developer base.

[Q] [ROM] Custom ROM - Samsung Galaxy 3.

Hello everybody,
It would be great, if somebody create a ROM for our Samsung Galaxy 3. I just got fed up of my stock ROM.
Even without Custom ROM, I am not able to apply any theme, or even not able to Metamorph. Please, It would be nice great if you people (Developers) can create or build up the Custom ROM.
Thanks.
There are thousand users who are using Galaxy 3 even few of them see this thread but still there is no developer or anybody who can inform or develop the Custom ROM for our loveable Galaxy 3.
Still if possible, than give some feedback.

FYI there is no such thing as a good ROM for overclocking as it is the kernel not the ROM that does the overclocking. All the kernels are in the original android development section and are on the first page of that section.

I am running Liquidsmooth's RC1. They are releasing their update soon,
Does anyone have a favorite TW based ROM? I am looking for one based on 4.2. I also heard the international 4.2.1 has been leaded. Has anyone tried creating a ROM based on this release? The TW ROMs just look nices than the AOSP despite all the unnecessary features that are loaded.
The international version of the s 3 has different hardware then the US versions making the leak difficult to port. Also there isn't any TW 4.2 ROMs for this phone as Samsung is working on 4.1.2. Lastly we at XDA have realized that what works for one person doesn't work for others so it is best to check out the ROMs yourself and see what works best for YOU.

[ HELP NEEDED] Hey I HV a general doubt in porting apps and features!!!!

Hey all the Dev's here at XDA can anyone tell me that is it possible toold stock apps and features to a custom rom.If yes, can you please explain me.If no then can you please make something for it

You see, custom ROMs are built on certain Bases and as such are differentiated, such as the AOSP(Android Open Source Project)-based ROMs, CM(CyanogenMod)-based ROMs, AOKP(Android Open Kang Project)-based ROMs, Touchwiz-based ROMs, etc.
An app may or may not be port-able in general. But some apps (and a lot of system features) require a specific base and hence won't run on other bases.
For example, Samsung features such as Multi-window will usually be found on TouchWiz-based ROMs as Samsung stock ROMs are TouchWiz-based.(Though you may find other apps which may give you multi-window features, they will not be based on the original code from Samsung.)

Hmm I know that but is not possible to make those apps run on custom ROM by faking them that the ROM is stock is it possible anyhow??

Hmm. I'm not sure (I'm not that good a developer). I'd say if you DID manage to fake that, the feature wouldn't work properly as you obviously won't REALLY have the system required to run those features smoothly. They might work, but they'd be faulty...
But I'm pretty sure there are alternatives to any app or feature you may want. For example, if you want Multi-Window, get the Xposed Framework and the XHaloFloatingWindow module..it's much better than original multi-window and floating window features, with fully movable and resizable windows and customizable properties...
Which exact features do you want to port?? Maybe I can help you find alternatives??
i wanna port sony camera coz the paranoid cam is bit boring and not that good!!

[POLL] Stock with Xposed vs custom ROM

I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules. I was just wondering what everyone else prefers on their Note 3... Stock ROM with Xposed, or a custom ROM?
I have been using Slimkat on my Note 3 since I bought it. This week I might try out the stock ROM with Xposed to compare.

I prefer Stock ROM with Xposed.
I understand why others love custom ROM but I don't need it

yes also
Same here, mostly running alexandr's ROM with lean kernel. Works wonders. But I can't understand why people buy this phone and flash aosp roms that turn the spen into a simple stick.
one of android best features to me ... is having a custom rom
but lately they all feel like stock with exposed enabled .... im still searching for a good rom to use everyday
rooted X-Note 3 knox 0X0
Stock rom with xpose especially Wanamp:good:
Tested lots of ROMs, if not all, that are available for the Nope 3. AOSP, TW based...
Best look, performance & speed - AOSP cannot be beaten here. And even if some FCs happened until I setup an AOSP, after that there's no hiccups, even on nightlies. Fire up ART runtime, and the speed gets to disgusting levels, but it's like a car, the faster you go, the more likely the crash.
Pure stock TW is ugly as hell, but coming from Samsung themselves, it's stable and everything works. And there ARE people who use the S-Pen every day. o.o
Also, it's probably the fact that I can't properly set up the kernel on AOSP, because the ugly slow TW gets me more battery life than AOSP. And I go tinkering with the kernel, and USB stops working, FCs, and other s**t. :/ I need to learn more on the topic, probably...
Currently, using Audax ROM with stock kernel.
make my own custom since i don't really use some of the function avail on other custom.
i vote for custom rom
when i am in stock note 3 the ported s5 apps doesnt work thats why i chose s5 ported roms as the note 3 dont get s5 apps or even the s5 uI samsung fault they dont care about there fans new phone produce throw your phone away cause you well get worse update - as i know 4.3 was better than 4.4.2 / 1-call record working without root - 2- camera performance better - 3- white keyboard - 4-not draining battery fast and ... a lot of things i may forget it dont forget the last update which introduce knox 2.0 which make towel-root useless - so tell me reasons not be in custom rom or you just stock with useless phone / i just losing faith with samsung update cause i know every update are getting even worse
I like using stock-based custom ROM with Xposed.

Thank you for the subject.
Personally, I prefer Stock because it's official and custom rom does not give you a big advantage over the original with Xposed, except with the custom I can not activate screen mirroring.

Me too!

I need the s10e's stock camera app apk

So, I'm running LineageOS 19.1 and it's stock camera app lacks functionality, and I don't want to use Gcam, I would like to use samsung's stock camera, if someone could provide me with a way to get it, would help me tremendously.

@elJaberJaber I'm curious if the stock camera apk works on Lineage, please report back about it.
You can't use the Samsung stock camera app on an AOSP rom as it lacks the proper framework for the apk to work with , you can only use it in other OneUI based roms .
In the odd chance that I am wrong, I'd love to see it happen.

didn't get to test it out, I'm sorry, I've managed to brick my phone, so I reverted to the original ROM and rooted it to uninstall bloatware.

That's what I thought.
However, for the Sony Xperia Z3 series there was a port of the stock camera app that included the needed parts of the framework to work on AOSP/Lineage based roms.
It would be interesting if this could be possible on the Samsung S10 series too.

Hasn't been done yet, your best bet is to talk to the Dev that made the rom , Linux or Ivan or whoever it was and also with Corsicanu, as he's very well skilled working with Samsung devices and tinkering with it's apps , you can find him in various groups and on telegram as well so give it a shot and ask him a question.
Hi everyone, can i import the framework on a different rom? im using an S22
