I have searched and searched but am having zero luck. Here's my issue: I recently purchased a Xoom 3G off a 1 day sale Site. It works fine and I have it setup on wifi. I do not have it on my Verizon account. I have rooted and installed the Codename rom. Again, all is running fine. I have downloaded the Verizon nfl mobile app, in order to watch football on my Xoom. However... I have a problem. When I launch the app, it says it's for Verizon users only and needs my tablets phone number. "nfl mobile requires your phone number to confirm".
My question here is: what can I do to get passed this? I don't want to upgrade my plan and add this tablet.
I have downloaded the verizonsso and myVerizon. Those are working fine. I can access other Verizon apps like V-id fine too. But it gets unhappy with nfl mobile.

I hope that someone can help me because I have a strange problem.
I have just bought a LG GW910 phone. The phone seems to work fine (calls, web-surfing, wifi etc) but if I am using my data connection (NOT WIFI) I cannot connect to any HTTPS sites. This also means that I cannot sync my phone with my exchange server across my data connection.
I have testes if across WIFI and it works fine.
I have also tested it by turning off the SSL (and making the necessary mod on the server of course) and then it also works fine, but I don't want to leave it sending my password in cleartext.
Can anyone help? Is this a bug in WP7 or should I send my phone back.
I would be very grateful if people could answer asap so that I can arrange to send this phone back if necessary.

given that you're the first to report it i might suggest speaking with your carrier about it?
Thanks for the comment! I would have thought the same thing if everything had not been working perfectly with my Touch Pro 2.
I cannot explain it, but I have managed to solve the problem.
I had tried resetting the phone and it hadn't helped.
I then tried (just to see how well it worked) doing a remote wipe of the phone (I had temporarily configured by exchange server not to require SSL). I then pannicked for about 40 minutes while my phone sat there with the LG logo and not starting.
FINALLY (YES... it takes AGES!!!) it started, and I configured it EXACTLY the same way as before, and now it works.
I honestly cannot explain it!
If anyone can come up with an explanation, I would LOVE to know.

if i may: where did you acquire an LG GW910. is that not a developer phone? as in, not in the market? (it was actually the one WP7 that enchanted me the most.)

I bought the device on ebay for €200. The price was certainly interesting!!
Sadly however, the problem that I was having yesterday has started again!! It is very strange!! It worked perfectly for approx 2 hours, and then at 00:40 this morning, it stopped. Now, again, I cannot access any form of https site (for exemple: www.live.com won't work as it directs me to an https site.) if I use the data signal. If I use WIFI it works fine!!
I am just trying another remote wipe of the phone to see if this solves the problem again.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? Bad memory chip????

Problem officially solved now... phone been running fine since Saturday Morning.
It seems that the problem was partially due to my service provider, and partially due to a mistake that I made.
I connect through Orange Luxembourg (Formerly VOX). They have 3 APNs: vox.lu (their old APN that still worked perfectly with my Touch Pro 2), iphone3g.lu (which they implemented when they got the iphone) and then one that I have never used before: orange.lu
I had tried vox.lu and iphone3g.lu and they both worked fine for HTTP, but not for anything secured (HTTPS, SSL etc).
On Saturday morning, I suddenly remembered that there was the orange.lu APN and I tried it. The phone has been working perfectly since then!!
I can't explain why this APN works and the others don't, but I am not going to complain. It is now working fine, and to be honest, I am very happy with WP7. OK... it has some missing functionality, but I am sure the MS will sort out some of these issues given time.

Last year I bought my mum a car. It had CNN via XM Sirius which she likes. The trial subscription ran out. I've had a Sirius account for almost 10 years. Initially with the satellite radio player and then I added the extra option of using it on a mobile device when 3G became prevalent.
I stopped using the satellite feed and have been using the Android Apps for a few years now. You have to keep the satellite if you want the web option.
So I decided to change the satellite account from the old radio that I never use to my mum's new car. No problem they said just give us the new ESN number or whatever it was. About a few days later I noticed I was no longer getting Howard Stern and some other channels. I called them and they said "reboot/re-install app/reset phone/etc." This caused me to lose root, which I knew ahead of time but I figured I'd just run this razer blade root for my Razr Maxx again. It was easy, all that it doesn't seem to work now. And Sirius channels still aren't all coming in to boot. After not getting back a few call backs and placing more calls Sirius told me that when I switched the satellite app to my mum's car I was making a change to my account and would lose 'all access' and would have to pay more. So I'm like "WTF?"
They said "you switched a Sirius satellite account to an XM receiver". I said "that's great that you're telling me that now. Thanks. Now please restore my channels back please". They said "no. pay more please". I was close to telling them to close the account but my mother likes listening to CNN in the car.
So while checking my other Android devices I noticed that the wifi devices, specifically my Galaxy 10.1 still has all the channels since its still running a previous Sirius App version (2.5). Now I have a Nexus 7 HD (2013). I tried using AirDroid, Kies, Google Drive via wifi and bluetooth to try and move the old Sirius app onto the new Nexus (4.3 JB). My Razr would be nice too. But no dice, it keeps trying to open up the latest Sirius app. Help please.
I am in Australia and have just recently bought an HTC M8 on eBay which was originally listed as new, and factory unlocked for $530. A few days later I found out it was actually rooted now unlocked, but was originally locked to Sprint. This was confirmed by a Sprint Connections application update etc, and the root was confirmed by the SuperSU app that was already installed in the phone. I'm recently confirmed this by the Root Checker app.
My phone's software is Android version 4.4.2, HTC Sense 6, software number 1.54.651.8, HTC SDK api LEVEL 6.17, PRI version 1.52_003, Kernel version [email protected] #1 SMP PREEMPT, Baseband version 1.05.20.0321_2.
The phone is pretty functional for everyday use except for the following issues:
- The internet network settings had to be manually obtained from my carrier as the phone did not automatically pick it up.
- The internet seems slower than usual (Signal strength -79 dBm 17-20 asu) compared to my old phone (Xperia Z1), despite the settings being specifically on 3G/UTMS mode which is faster than having it on Global Mode, and the required setting with my carrier Optus.
- I cannot access anything under System Updates. i.e. Update profile, Update PRL, UCICC Unlock and most importantly, HTC software update. This update takes >20minutes to search to no avail. This error message at times pops up when I try selecting Update profile: “vDM Client has stopped unexpectedly. An error report will be sent to HTC to help us improve our products”. This error screen would pop up intermittently when my internet didn't work but, I rarely see it now.
- Wifi would randomly switch on. I've turned off all system selections that may be caused on this. I haven’t tried booting my phone into safe mode to determine if an app is causing this.
I don't know much about phones (I had no idea what rooting was until I looked it up to get a rough idea), so I'm wondering if you experts could be some advice
I'm planning on keeping the phone for about 2 years and wondering what issues I may receive from having a rooted phone with the already above issues? Would the phone play up more? Can I use my current android version for that period relatively smoothly?
I am able to return my phone for a full refund but I don't have a spare phone and don't want to go in to the hassle of doing so if I can keep the phone (I would prefer to leave them negative feedback on eBay to be honest ). What do you guys think?

I bought yesterday a Oneplus One from one friend. I installed Oxygen, but unfortunately i have problem with the touch screen which was not responding always. After Google documentation I decided to install cyanogen 12.0 . After installation, and update i solve this problem. I installed all my necessary programs for my phone using my WiFi network. Everything was running nice, i was really happy with this phone. When i decided to test my mobile phone data, i discover that this one not working. I read again on Google, but i really cannot find a solution to solve this problem. The access points was came standard for my network, i used all of them also i create a new one. The mobile data is ON. The calls, internet via Wifi are working good, except this problem. I waiting for your help
So it seems that the Here wego maps/navigation app is not available for the s3 if you aren't using a Samsung phone. (I happen to use an LG v20)
Has anyone found a way to side load the app? Or what is the best alternative maps application for the s3?
Ok I found a way around the issue for anyone watching this thread... It's a little crazy and not for everyone.... I happen to have a Samsung Galaxy S7 as a work phone... I connected my S3 to that phone, where it installed HERE by default.... I then backed up the watch to my samsung account and then reconnected the watch to my LG V20 and restored the backup which included HERE.... Boom.... Problem solved
That's strange.. I got my S3 R-760 back in October 2017 from the UK. Immediately paired to a Sony Z5 and has been like that ever since, even after the ROM updates. One of the first things I did was to install HERE. Can't remember how exactly but it wans't a hassle so I assume straight from the watch or the store. I guess it has been removed after I installed it. Using it now as a standalone, no connection to the phone is required, just direct connection to the internet via wifi or hotspot. Of course I do not have the convenience of using it through the phone which could make it easier to search etc, but it is good enough.

Hmm - I downloaded from Google onto my OnePlus 5T, installed on watch from Gear store and that was it.
