anyone tried this? any tutorial? how should i change it?
thanks
Why do you want to change it? All you do is pull out the old one with that ring thingy...then slide a new one in....
Just curious about it ¤·¤
Thanks
Yes, it's possible. Use the metal ring-like thing to pull out the existing tip, and replace with a plastic one for, example. l put my used (non- new) tip upside down in the clear elastic band so that I can tell it's been used.l prefer the plastic tip as it's smoother to write with compared to the rubber one at least for me.

Nothing in the manual?
Just insert the nib into the half circle on the metal and clamp it. When you think you have a good grip on it, twist it clockwise, make sure the nib turns, then slowly pull up while turning.

Guys I have a korean version of Nexus S.
Its screen is flickering whenever i use DATA or make or receive calls. After removing the battery cover, I found that there is a Gold Pin near the volume button just above a screw at the back side of the phone. Screen Flickering stops whenever i press this metal contact. Can anyone please tell me what does this pin is used for?
I have also attached the screenshot. Pin is showed under the green colored rectangle. Thanks in advance.
Anyone?
I think they all have that I have the Sprint one D720 mine also has that pin.. I think it's part of the board or something.. I would run a google search for info about it.. Well I found a bunch of parts and what not but can't find what the hell that one part is for..

It's the port for the external gsm antenna, it's tipically used when you're at home and you get no signal.

Has anyone figured out a way to disable the proximity sensor. I just purchased a new case that I really like and don't want to go with a different one. Prob is that it catches just enough of the sensor to make it active constantly.
Edit. Just to get some feedback I found that adding this to build prop would work. True ? gsm.proximity.enable=false

I don't know for sure, but I don't think it'd hurt to try. I'll try here and test it out, then let you know my result.

Thanks Jonathan! I tried the build prop I suggested but it does not work .
Try a tiny little piece of opaque tape like electrical tape?

No problem, I just had an idea too, can you modify the case at all so that it doesn't cover the sensor stop you can still use it? I found apps on the play store that'll turn it off, but if you can cut a bit of the case off with an xacto knife...

No, the sensor is so sensitive that I would be taking it down to nothing making the case brittle. Thanks for the suggestion though.
Who makes this case and why would you put up with such a bad mistake from them?

It's called a koolkase. Looks nice on phone, glows in dark. All for sensor being bothered is a good case. Anyway, to keep clutter down could a moderator lock this for the time being.
Search "proximity screen off" on the play store, there's a lite version that should do the trick.

Is this case designed for the one x or our one xl? And what phone are you using it with?

It's designed for one x used on one x. Returned it though. Thank all for suggestions. If moderator is reading can you please lock this.
Ok, so I do not know if anyone have noticed this already, but you might find this interesting.
When you pass your finger over the Lockscreen without actually touching it the phone draws a ripple effect along the path of your finger,
Here's what I found; if you hold your finger steady close enough over the screen without touching all the way, you can see your pulse!!
The way I see it is, unlike the s4's lockscreen where you have a dot following you while you hover, the note's lockscreen draws a circular ripple below your finger that changes in area as you get closer. So, if you don't change the distance between your finger and the screen, the only thing that is changing the capacitance between your finger and the screen is actually your own pulse fluctuating the electrostatic energy in your finger.
If you've read so far I hope I haven't wasted your time. I just wanted to share
Was skeptical but yep seems to work not sure my pulse is that fast though

Can a app be built arround this ? It's pretty cool
It's NOT your pulse. It's just an effect.
Try hovering your S Pen over the screen = same thing.

there are plenty of BT heart monitors.
You could connect to one and display HR on a widget

For those amongst us who are A, incapable of smell, or B, completely deprived of any observational skills?
I guess everyone knows, but if not this one works.
Maybe stupid of me, but when someone mentioned making an app for it.

Today I booted up my tf101 and the screen stayed black then flickered blue lines across the top. I tried hard reset, no dice, tried to boot into twrp (I was running katkiss 4.4 fine for weeks), and the screen flickered blurry images, nothing. Tried to push stock software with easy flasher, looks like it works, but same issue when I turn the tablet back on. Weird thing is my pc still sees my tablet and ext sd files. Anyone have any ideas? My son is not a happy camper at the moment.

Is there a chance it has been knocked or dropped ?
The display cable has a habit of coming lose pretty easily if they receive a bump but are fairly simple to fix if you don't mind opening it
Have a look at the links in this thread to check that cable

Good luck!
I think I just used a normal pozzy screwdriver with mine, get one the right size with a little extra pressure and they turn ok - its only the first 2 screws near the charging port that are Torx, the rest inside are all tiny phillips

Hi, I was able to remove that silly spen icon in the notification bar in 4.3 by using quick shortcut maker and finding the page or site buddy. After upgrading to 4.4.2 that icon returned. Furthermore the page buddy crashes at once it is called.
How can I get rid of this silly spen icon in 4.4.2? Any ideas?

Just put some electrical tape over the top corner of the screen so you can't see it.

SPen icon is there to remind you that you have detach your SPen from the phone. It is easy to get distracted in busy world, and that litle thing is there for that one specific helpful reason.

I dint think you're either.

Do a factory reset if page buddy keeps crashing - OR remove it via Titanium backup and have someone give you the files and push them into the system (this might not work though)

The Wacom digitizer uses battery. I want my indicator in case I set the pen down and continued using my phone. The pen insertion/removal sensor is more about activating/deactivating the Wacom digitizer than it is about warning keeping track of your pen and the symbol helps too.

You're working on the misconception that the Wacom digitizer is switched on/off depending on whether or not the sPen is inserted.
It isn't. Try using a different Wacom pen on your screen with the Note's pen still inserted. You will find it still works fine.

Dave
