[Q] Stuck in Download mode! - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I don't know what else to try! I have gone into Odin and tried flashing the stock ROM and different recoveries with no luck. No matter what buttons that I push, it keeps coming back to the bootloader screen! :crying:

Install kies first and then reboot pc for drivers
Use odin version 1.85
Download firmware from www.samfirmware.com for your device model number as 3113 (see your model number)
Close kies when using odin
Put tar or tar.md5 in pda of odin and connect tab with original cable
See if a yellow ribbon appear in odin and a port number
Try hitting start
Wait till green ribbon and pass
Try also power + volume up
Sent from Galaxy S2 or Galaxy Tab2

Have you tried just holding the power button for like 10 seconds to get it to reboot?

This worked for me:
Press and hold: Power+home+vol-down

[Q] PLEASE HELP!!!!bricked my sgs 4g

I have installed ''battery mod'' app from the market. It needed a reboot after installation. After rebooting it it just showed a blank screen. So took it to a mobile repair shop. I don't what he has done NW my phone is not even starting. When I pressed the volume up+down button and power button for around 2minutes a black screen with orange letters appeared. It is as follows.
RST_STAT. =0*1.
PMIC_IRQ1. =0*3f
PMIC_IRQ2. =0*0
PMIC_IRQ3. =0*0
PMIC_IRQ4. =0*0
PMIC_STATUS. =0*c0
PMIC_STATUS. =0*2c
well, you can start up the phone, so its not hard bricked. odin to raver's kc1 and make sure you place all of the files in the right places in odin. this will restore your phone to kc1 factory + root.
Odin will often work even if you can't see the download mode screen. If you have the phone connected to the computer and Odin sees a com port it maybe can flash a rom. Try different versions of Odin. The latest is 1.85 and is availabie on xda-developers just search. Ibought a jig off eBay but I don't think it had any effect on my 4g. Even so I got Odin to work after a lot of tries. Thanks again jager for your help.

I find how to go to download mode
i open the odin and put the file on PDA and i saw its became yellow and added fine and then i hit start

what can i do now
try to find a tar.md5 package with a .pit file specifically for your device..,
alternately try flashing a stock Honeycomb ROM.. and booting into recovery and factory reset.
Most importantly research and read, If you can get into Download mode you're 90%+ will be OK
Get ClockworkMod recovery from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2112667
Use odin to flash it
boot to recovery
wipe system and cache
use odin to install your stock rom again
boot

Galaxy Tab 7 sph-p100 boot looped after root attempt

Galaxy tab 7 sph-p100 stuck in a boot loop after root attempt, using odin3 v1.70 and CF-Root-TAB7_XX_OXA_JQ1-v3.3-CWM3RFS.tar and this tutorial off youtube "How to ROOT Galaxy TAB P1000 [Gingerbread]" ,Im not a developer , I wanted to gain root access to upgrade to jelly bean 4.4. I downloaded drivers for the tablet onto my pc based machine, downloaded the linked files, ran odin, selected PDA, selected the CF-Root-Tab7.tar, I want to note that In the tutorial the tabs stock version was 2.3.6 while mine WAS 2.3.4. With my tablet off I connected my usb cable, odin detected my device, with my device connected , odin displayed it as com-4 while in the tutorial the device connected read com-3, I hit start on odin, Odin's messages displayed 1 succeed/ 0 failure, my tab reboots and reads samsung then displays a faint white line on the right side of the screen and just keeps doing that. I hold power till it goes completely off , the I try holding power + Vol up keys when the samsung logo is displayed let off the vol and keep holding the power key till it goes Into recovery mode? which it wont...... I don't really know how to proceed at this point , Im pretty much stuck with this device until its figured out. Any help is much appreciated.
Wrong Tab sir.

Bricked Galaxy Tab 2 P3100

Hello XDA !
I have a Tab 2 P3100, bricked with Odin. I was using a flash file that I've used many times before on the same laptop, with the same cable, and the same tablet.
Something went wrong and Odin displayed an error saying there's no PIT partition .
I've tried to use different PCs and cables, still not working.
I'm stuck now at the emergency recovery page, and when connected to Kies it just hangs on "Connecting...". The device does charge alright but I cannot turn it off (it reboots instead of shutting down when I long press the power button).
I think it might be going into download mode when I hold power button + vol down, but I'm not sure as it gives me a blank black screen and gets a bit hot on the left upper corner.
Any Ideas ?
Thanks in advance!
UPDATE: I managed to find "loose" solder points on the USB port and replaced the whole port altogether, What I'm facing now is that after I flash the device with official stock ROM, Odin3 seems to finish the work and flash the whole ROM to the device, but when I try to reboot the device it's still stuck on emergency recovery screen.

[Completed] Samsung Galaxy SM-J100H - Can I fix this?

Hello,
My friend gave me a Samsung Galaxy SM-J100H because it wouldn't go past the Samsung Logo so I tried to root it. I used Odin and everything seemed to be going well until it restarted. When it restarted it said there was a problem with the USB connection. A window appeared with 3 different device drivers and the first two checked with a green tick and the 3rd the Samsung one gave me a red cross. I quickly tried to reinstall the USB driver but to no avail.
Now, I can't get into the Power+Home+Volume Up menu, all I can get is the Power+Home+Volume Down to work which brings up Press Volume Up to Continue. When I do that, even without the USB plugged in it just says Downloading.... Do not turn off target!! I left this overnight in case it somehow cached the root but to no avail.
Have I bricked it totally? Is there any way I can recover this? Is there a program that will wipe everything completely so I can start from Scratch? I refuse to believe that I can't solve a software issue with software. Is there something in the hardware I can do that would wipe everything like using a Jumper to clear the CMOS and BIOS for a PC, is there anything like that I could do? I know there would be any jumpers but maybe connecting certain connections it could effectively wipe it?
Even when I try to start again with Odin I can't since it will just go straight to Downloading.... Do not turn off target!! as soon as I press Volume Up.
Is there ANYTHING I can do?
Hi there and welcome to assist,
If you can enter in download mode using combo Power+Home+Volume Down then you can flash stock firmware. Search with google for this firmware and flash thru Odin.
Flashing instructions:
 Extract (unzip) the firmware file
 Download Odin v3.11.1
 Extract Odin ZIP file
 Open Odin v3.11.1
 Reboot Phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
 Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
 Add the firmware file to AP / PDA
 Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
 Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
