I was trying to make a NANDROID backup with clockwork mod...but on doing reboot to recovery, I entered fastboot mode..
I found two methods to get it back
a) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1088046
but after the "fastboot erase recovery" command...it fails to detect my phone...stays on "waiting for phone" for very long
b)http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1015332
i got the ROM from here
http://hotfile.com/dl/102451200/37ea...00-DZ.zip.html
its a .dz file but renaming it to .kdz works fine for the friend who gave me this link
however when i tried renaming it and then opening with KDZ, I got this log:
15:02:14 Launching SW update
15:02:14 Unpacking KDZ
15:02:15 KDZ file extraced (I am using exact syntax)
15:02:15 Extract file error
===FINISHED===
I've also tried other files from the official links.. the .kdz files for 10d and 10e, but i got the same error for both of these.... however, a .cab file of same name is formed before it fails....
also, when i open the read phone info window, clicking on read info crashes the program...while clicking on launch upgrade gives a message to "install CSMG B2C client tool
select tool-> B2C client setup menu" (but where is this tool -> b2c.... thing?)
what is wrong and how to fix it??
This is my first android (only a week old) so not much experience ...please help
PS- please reply ASAP!!
i installed cm 10.1 but gapps 10 and..
I have followed all the steps correctly. Now the reboot is complete and the screen is stuck at "unfortunately the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped" error. If I click okay I get another error "Unfortunately, setup wizard has stopped". Please help. this is urgent. i cant do anything on my phone now.
I tried with KDZ but usb debugging is not enabled and..

Get copy of the rom that is not corrupted.
One cause of corruption is a bad download of the rom.
As it's a checksum error, see if there's an MD5 hash for the ROM file on the download site, if so run an MD5 on what you've downloaded and check if the hash you get matches the one on the download site.
Also deleting the checksum.ini file from the firmware folder removes these errors.
I get the same problem even after deleting that file. In other posts/sites, one mentions that in the ".ini " file change the switch from "1" to "0". For me that too didn't work.
but please try these.
I tried 3 ROM files, and all can't be corrupt.
nothing can do..this means ur emmc is corrupted/fried..
need send to center or just rip off ur phone and get new one..
checksum error 1401 is a fatal error for ur devices..RIP it

As I knew, the error code 1041 is caused of unsupported ROM that you used, In case, there would be a message told you PMT Changed, Try to format first before flash your device with that ROM. then do flash again, try download only or format + download all, If you done and succeed, but nothing happened on your device. Maybe the EMMC has no partition.
Check the EMMC partition by going to Memory Test Tab on that Flashtool, if there showing an error with red message like Nand Flash Error or else, yes, the fact: your EMMC is truly broken and has no partition, should be changed by going to Service Center.
Hope this help you!

if this is the case i think my phone is dead. i tried the memory test and it shows Nand Flash Error. Sad. this helps a lot. Thanks
I had the same problem with lenovo k3 note. It shows NAND not detected in memory test. But in factory mode it shows up eMMC has 14 GB. Sorry if this is a noob question but is there a way to repartiton this? Or it is dead?
I had this issue. I solved it by clearing up some storage on my system. I've noticed some bizarre problems show up when downloading/extracting archive or ROM files and also when using the SP Flash tool itself. With about 6.5 GB free I was able to successfully re-download, re-install the SP Flash tool and get my device flashed.
In my case it says
NAND flash was not defected!
Hi,
I've bought you Hi-Fi device (from ba*****od.com), a Ulefone Vienna, which worked for only 11 days. I got several errors while tried to install apps from Google Play Store, but after a restart of the device the apps were installed without a problem.
But last Sunday, after another restart of the phone (because i wanted to install a new app), the phone gave me the following error message: "Unfortunately, System UI has stopped." (then I got only one option: to click OK. The phone is unusable now.)
I found a guide on uleFone official website how should I reinstall/update the device, but isn't working.
I'm stuck at the first step: "Driver Auto Installer". I'm using Win7 64bit, and I followed the instructions (i run the executable as administrator), but at install i get this message: "The system cannot find the path specified". Also after i tried to install the driver manually, in the device manager (Windows) my PreLoadter USB VCOM Port appears with a yellow sign (it says the driver is not digitally signed).
After this I tried the Flashing Tool i get this error:
"Warning: Maybe error as follows:
(1)COM ports number reoetitive or invalid
(2)Brom and preloader have the same comport number!
Please modify them in INI file or scan again."
Sometimes it just do nothing after i press the "Start All" button. Maybe is important (maybe not), but @ "Certification File" gives me nothing, even after I loaded the DA file and scatter file. Even more, a bit down, where should appear the ports, there is N/A + N/A (at all the positions). Tried to connect the phone with different USB ports on my PC, but got the same result.
Please help me! I gave 170 USD for this phone, and worked only a few days
I'm waiting for your response, you are my last hope!
Thank you!
With regards,
Attila Nagy

Hi Attila
Thanks you for using XDA Assist
Despite the fact that your device, being a brand new, has no dedicated forum for it (yet), our notorious Recognized Developer @Alberto96 maintain the below thread as a central hub about it:
Ulefone Vienna - Development & Support
If you could please take a time to read it and eventually ask your question in there.
Nice regards and good luck.
.
Okay, so I see a lot of post asking for help, and not many replies so hopefully I'll be able to get some help as I'm stuck without a phone now.
I followed some videos on how to root the Note 5 (T-mobile)
I'm at a process that says to install no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip via TWRP
however I won't install It just returns an error
Code:
Error: Unknown ramdisk compression format (5d0)
- Aborting
Failed to patch boot image
Updater process ended with ERROR: 1
Error installing zip file /sdcard/no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip
Updating partition details.
...done
I can't get it installed at all
And if I just reboot the phone it just hangs on the T-mobile screen for hours until I hold Vol Down + Power to shut it off.
I really hope I didn't mess up my phone, as the only reason I wanted root was so I could take full advantage of some feature of Tasker
