If your phone is Rooted, you have to choose what CRom's you want, Go here --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22423403&postcount=2
Then follow the instruction in the OP, usually in the 1st Post of the thread.
When you rooted your phone there is a CWM Recovery with it.
all you have to do is to access this by doing 3 combo key, Hold volume up + Home button + power button, just count 5 sec and then release. you will boot on CWM recovery.
There is easy way also, all you need is to download ROM manager from the Market and there is an option there that you can boot to recovery.
Goodluck

Rom manager could brick your phone.. I already used it and bricks my phone

Don't download ROM manager from Market, It officially doesn't support Galaxy SL i9003 , if you download from Market!
I will like to know How have you rooted your phone and which version of android you are running? 2.2 Froyo or 2.3 Gingerbread?
If you have rooted your phone using CF-ROOT like AMIT Bagaria's or may be the one provided by Ganesh then you will be having CWM installed already! ( Clockword Mod Recovery)
As the other friend has told you how you can go into recovery, follow the same process which is mentioned in the ICS thread, you can use ICS Alpha 13 by Dheeru

Yes it's rooted and rom manger Not works
If it tells you that the signature is invalid, then it probably is: Most likely your download was corrupted, or your SD card, or ... well, it could be any number of things:
Try redownloading. If you can locate a checksum for the download: Use it!

Means which recovery ? How to download signature verification recovery ?
It's not a tool, it's an option inside ClockworkRecovery.
Where to download clockwrok recovery ? Can u tell me which thing I need ? I don't about this ? My phone is running on official stock 2.2.1 android and it's rooted .. Now I just want to install custom roms .. So can u please tell me what to do now ? Step by step
Ah, there's the problem. You need a tool to install the ROM... the standard recovery tool will only allow you to install firmware signed by the device maker. The usual order to install a custom firmware is this:
1. Root
2. Use root to install a recovery tool, for example ClockworkRecovery, via ROM Manager (you can find that in the market)
3. Use that to bypass the vendor signing requirement and install the new ROM
But I've got to ask: you're having all these problems already... do you really think a custom ROM is the right choice for you? I'm struggling sometimes and I have years of IT experience.

Change your thread title to something usefull...
in order to install a rom you need to have a custom recovery installed first witch is not the bootloader. there are several guides on how to install roms on the milestone so i suggest you start reading around in the motorola milestone forums. Also if your new to all this i would defiantly not recommend miui as your first rom.

hey bro ....i am ready to help but you did not mentioned which android version or firmware you are using?..
.however, if you are on stock 2.2 froyo then you can use "superoneclick" (google it for full information) to root your phone!.
if you are on 2.3.3 or 2.3.4 gingerbread then just download the attached file and put it in the root of your sd card(not in any folder) and don't unzip it (let it be as it is, in the .zip format) ...Now, turn off your phone wait for it to vibrate ..now, boot into recovery mode (by holding the middle key+power key together).
now, select the "apply update from sd card" and select the root.zip file from the list and press the middle key ...let it finish the installation and then reboot your phone...
After rebooting you will be having "superuser" in the app drawer .....enjoy your phone is rooted now!!
And as far as Clockworkmod Recovery is concerned u need to be on Vishwanath's FitDroidv2.0 ROM to use that and it has many other great functions too .....look for it in the Developmeny section....I highly recommend it!!! me too using his ROM
.....
Press thanx if i helped u!!
i have the stock 2.2 I bought it yesterday... I was afaid that is a special version of superoneclick and i don't want to brick it...

listen bro...just switch over to FitDroidv2.0 thread ...and flash it on your phone....you will not face any problems....i am also using it for about 2-3 weeks....and its very stable !!....

[CWM]Samsung Galaxy Y (ALPHA)

I have tried my best to make it work but I am not able to figure-out what is wrong with it.
I am able to boot into CWM but it is not performing functions like backup, restore, mount, system, etc.
But you can download the attached zip place it in the root of your SD-CARD and flash it from recovery.
After you fla**** with stock recovery, it will automatically OPEN CWM recovery.
You can scroll with volume buttons and center button to select and power button to go back.
But after reboot it will when you press power+volume up+centre it will boot in stock samsung recovery.
After you flash it you can also use ROM MANAGER and press Reboot into Recovery to boot in CWM Recovery.
It will not hurt your phone but i am not responsible for any harm to your phone.
Any help is appreciated.
EDIT: My recovery is not working. Use this recovery by Skin1980: www.multiupload.com/IGKG2L5RAF
Why is this in the Questions and Answers section?
Because I want help in making it stable.
I am not a developer.
But.. Galaxy 5's recovery works(for me atleast) on Galaxy Y, so you might wanna have a look at its code, it can not mount though.. and it also is overwritten or something and everytime I use ROM manager to boot up n CWM it gets replaced again(same as u said in short).
P.S. 'Thanks' for trying.
still wait to finish.i vote you
I expect this was a long time, trying out many more of you, I voted you

I have tried to flash it with ODIN but it failed then I made an update.zip package with your recovery but after flashing it soft-bricked my phone.
I think something is wrong with the recovery you should fix it.
I can test these recoveries for you but since I am going out for holiday for 10 days sometime I may not test it instantly.
Thanks for your participation in development for this phone.

[Q] Does Creed's Rom 1.7.2 support Adobe Flash Players ?

Hey,. I am a relatively new android user,..
I want adobe flash player on my Samsung Galaxy Fit
I first thought of flashing FitDroid,.. but many with DDKQ5 seem to have erors !
So,.. I thought of getting the better one,.. i mean Creed's ROM which is exclusively for my DDKQ5 !! (Hurrayy,...!!)
But i want to know the following (please reply to all questions !! )
1. Should i root the phone to install a custom rom ??
2. Can I install CWM without rooting ? (pls give DownLink)
2a) What and how to use ODIN ? (any forum ?)
3. Is CWM and Rom Manager Different ? (sorry for being so nooby !)
4. Does Creed's ROM support Adobe Flash Player,.. if so which version??
5. Where can i get the stable flash player for this rom ??
6. Will Google apps work in the custom ROM ?
I will thank all those who respond (thats the least i can do,... )
yes i think all roms support adobe flash players. To install see this
adobe flash flayer thread
yes u can install CWM without rooting just switch off your phone and press and hold middle+volume down+power button then you will be in download mode then use odin to install it
here is the link
cwm 5 by tj styles
CWM and rom manager does the same job.but our phone is not supported in rom manager and if u will use it u might will brick your phone so dont even think about using rom manager
regarding google apps, yes they work in custom roms
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1405672
but this says that u should give admin privileges to adobe flash player !
for that it is necessary that we root the device right ??
and can we follow the same steps to install CWM after rooting ?
Also,.. How can we root ?
You need to root the device because in order to install Flash Player you will need Root Explorer (Which requires root accsess). For root information try searching the forum..
You can use super one click to root,it the easiest way to root.

I suggest you don't use the ROM Manager in the market..
Coz many of GalFit users have been bricked their hh after installed it..
Just use the CWM by Tj style and then you can flash any other roms with it..
You have to use Odin to flash CWM to your yg..
Sent from my GT-S5670 using XDA App
In fact, I urge you NOT to use Rom manager in the market. I have hard-bricked mine with that !

Directly booting to recovery

I have a rooted S-7500, with CWM recovery 5.0.2.8 installed. I (by mistake) allowed the 'software update' option to install a system update(or something) today by mistake (I know, you should never install system updates after rooting. My bad.) Since then, the phone directly goes to the cwm recovery mode on powering on, and i am unable to do anything else
I am not very well versed with the finer details of rooting bootloader recovery n all...so pls some details with steps...if possible .
Any help whatsoever...please I will be really grateful

Thanks!!! It totally worked!
Just a clarification...now that i have got the stock rom back on my phone...am i right in saying that I have lost root access, my phone is totally back to the 'original' state, and i have lost CWM as well? Please correct me if I am wrong.
And assuming that I am correct(above), I would like to re-root my device(need to use proxydroid to surf internet over the damned proxy server!). So..can I follow the standard method, ie, can I do it the same way I had done before, or do i need to do something different now?
And once again...THANK YOU for your help! I had ended up hard bricking my previous phone, and was really scared when this happend to my aceP. You saved me!
Easy way to ROOT your SGAP
Yes by the time you flash stock rom you loss root even any custom recovery you flashed before...
but now if you want to root your SGAP again don't follow that guide again which you done before just follow this :
Download ODIN from Downloading link below (inside ODIN software folder)
Download any one recovery which you like TWRAP / CWM v5.5 (inside Custom recovery folder)
Download Root_SGAP.zip from Root folder & place that zip inside in your sd card
Click to collapse
Download Link : GALAXY Ace Plus - Basic stuff
FOR Custom_Recovery :
Open odin, be sure your system has already install drivers & if kies is there close it.
extract recovery zip
connect device to pc in download mod (vol down + power + home) & select that (recovery) .md5 file in pda section inside ODIN software
Click start & wait to reboot device
FOR ROOT :
Now boot device in CWM mod ( vol up + down + power + home)
choose zip from sd card & select Root_SGAP.zip
DONE.

if you are going to stick on stock rom forever & only want to root device then stock recovery is ok for you...
but while dealing with custom roms, custom recoveries are smart choice.
it has lot of additional options than stock recovery.
so my opinion yes use custom recovery

Got stuck in boot loop after performing the steps. I was running this ROM.
Had to reinstall the ROM. I'm sure there's something I didn't understand or something I did wrong. I'd be thankful if anyone could point it out.
