So I own an Asus TF300T and I'm using Jelly Bean [Rooted 4.1.1]
Here are my current problem's.
1) I am unable to get CWM to work on it as it will install correctly through Fastboot but when I reboot into Recovery it will hang t the RCK screen. I don't know how to fix this as I've tried a few different recovery images, all of which were CWM.
2) When transferring via Bluetooth to my Nexus 7 the TF300T will reboot for some reason... same thing happens when I'm sending files from my N7 to the TF300T. Any idea's as to why this would be happening?
3) I am unable to reset my device to stock, has anyone else had this problem?
4) I have minor time's where the device will just reboot because of what I assume to be the processor taking on to much of a load from the Android OS. Is there a fix for this problem?
Any answer's or solution's would be helpful. Every time I find what I think to be a fix doesn't work...
1) What bootloader are you running from? [Edit: Sorry, forgot you mentioned you are on Jelly Bean there -- You will need to make sure the CWM is JB compatible (again look at the link I posted here for the CWM JB Recovery)] If you are on the new JB bootloader you have to have CWM recovery that recognizes this. I don't use CWM on my TF300, but you might try HERE to find info on that. I do know that TWRP version 2.2.1 and higher have a JB bootloader version. You can find it from their site HERE.
2) No clue on the bluetooth. I don't use the bluetooth transfer so I haven't ever tried this out.
3) By "reset device to stock" do you mean the Factory Wipe Data option from the boot menu, or something else? Please explain and I'll do what I can to assist.
4) I've had my device reboot a time or two for no reason, but I don't know enough about debugging things in the software to know what's going on.

Being that you are already on the Jelly Bean bootloader, you cannot flash any firmware to working condition that is not a Jelly Bean bootloader. This means that you can only flash 10.4.2.9 or 10.4.2.13 firmware versions. Anything else won't boot on the JB Bootloader. Also, the ZIP file you might download from the ASUS site requires it to be unzipped first. There is another zip file inside of the downloaded file that is used for the actual flashing process.

Yup I know that part...
Just confused as to the process of getting it done...
I have some experience in flashing new firmware but with the TF300T I'm so confused xD

There isn't anything "rocket-sciencey" to flashing on the TF300. If you have ever done any type of ROM flashing, the returning to Stock is the exact same way, just using the stock firmware file downloaded from ASUS.com. Find the firmware you want to load, download and unzip the file to a YY_epad-X.X.X.X_2012xxxx.zip where the YY is your location code (US more than likely) and the X.X.X.X is the version of the firmware you are loading up. The xxxx should say "user" if memory serves correct. Put it on your MicroSD and flash it like you would any normal custom ROM. Wipe Data, Wipe Cache, Flash ROM, Wipe Dalvik, Reboot. I'd be happy to put together a more fluid tutorial on this if needed.

I didn't see anything from US so I tried WW.....
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
If you go to asus.com and click on United States, then go to the Tablets and the TF300 download section the only ones available should say US. But I think WW should work, no guarantees though.
I'll try that today thx...
I'll post back later

Apologies for being noob in TF (my first Android thing).
I've been playing with my TF101 B80 with updated ICS 4, successfully rooted with ViperMod, installed Revolver 4 beta (9.2.1.11)by gnufabio..
My question:
How can I safely revert back to Stock Rom with root?
Bit afraid to try any Stock Rom posted everywhere without advise from pros.
Thanks.
nvflash it, its the safest way i know of, but you have to have sbk1 but if you dont want to loose data flash it in CWM, wipe dalvik, and then flash it, unless your transformer implodes, but go http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1334673here if you flash via cwm, its alot easier

I have seen this posted here, and elsewhere.
Simple - Go to the ASUS Support site and download the latest ICS firmware for your version (WW, US, JP, TW, CN, etc).
Unzip the file 1 time (it will still be a zip file) and place it on a microSD card.
Boot into CWM recovery.
Choose zip from SD
Select the zip from the microSD
Once it finishes installing you will be back to 100% stock unrooted ROM and it will also flash back to stock recovery.
Thanks.

I have a tf300t(bought from US,I am a chinese),it isn't unlocked until update to stock JB(i update to 4.1.1from OTA,locked),but after unlocked,I flash the CWM 5.5.0.4,but it didn't work. Then i flash the TWRP 2.2.1.3 for JB only(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1843694),it worked. But after i flash the fireware "ASUS-ICS-HYDRO-PONIC"(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1750861),after reboot, the device hanged at the asus logo for a long time(i watched it for even 10 minutes.....),so i tried the stock rom(download from ASUS site,US_epad-user-9.4.3.30.zip)but it didn't word too.Now my tf300t can't boot to the OS,it only can get into the recovery(TWRP2.2.1.3 for JB).somebody help me......,I wonder if it is the update from OTA to cause my problem)
There are others in the same situation. Keep watch on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30516010

yes it worked,my tf300t is unlocked, there is the word"this device is unlocked" on the asus logo screen.but it can't load os.
So I wonder if maybe you would have luck wiping and trying to install a jb based ROM like cm10? Since you're already on jb firmware its understandable that an ICS ROM fails... I'm by no means an expert but just someone considering an unlock after JB ota

Looks like partition sizes chaged with the Asus update. I couldn't flash CM10 or any other rom as well (signature mismatch). If you installed the official 4.1.1 update, you need to manually install it again. Older versions and rollbacks wont work unless you push to some trickery mmcblk0p4, but that's another thread in itself
Download the JB update from Asus's website (if you still have it, that's fine) and extract the blob file. Put the blob file in teh same directory as your fastboot. Boot your TF300 into bootloader and enter:
fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash system blob
It will take a while to install, so be patient. Hope this helps

Not yet. This fix is in the works. The new custom recoveries need to be modified for OTA JB first. Keep an eye on the development threads.

So if you put all these steps together...
1. Update to JB using OTA
2. Unlock
3. Flash TWRP
4. Flash extracted blob
You have an unlock/custom recovery method for those of us on JB am I correct?

yes exactly! but you need flash the TWRP again after flash the extracted blob,or it will be the stock recovery.and then you can flash the ROOT.zip.So the device will be rootd.
already rooted. is there a step by step to downgrade to ics. really miss my flash player. can't get it to work on jb.
There is not a way to downgrade at the moment if you are running the OTA JB.
Btw flash can still work with JB using the stock browser. Here's a copy of the recent flash player if you need it

I would think to truly do this, you would need to flash the bootloader, system, and recovery all at the same time so everything is in sync with ICS, just not worth it.

When I was locked, I tried to take the zip and put it in internal storage. It installed the downgrade as it called it, but when done, I was still on jb. I would think if you're on jb and force flashed the ICS blob it would possibly brick the device because jb has different permissions and from what I've read a different partition table all together.

I don't believe it has a different partition table but even if it did, asus blobs include the partition table in every update so that wouldn't be an issue, the issue however is that you cannot download the bootloader, the bootloader is now signed seperately to the rest of the update to prevent abuse like what we did with the tf201 to obtain nvflash access. When you unlock the bootloader signature remains enabled while the blob flashing signature check is disabled. This has a side effect of preventing downgrades as the bootloaders pre-JB do not have this same signing mechanism in place.

I actually attempted to downgrade last night. Quite frankly, I think that I came close o a few soft bricks. I tried flashing a custom ICS rom...no go. I tried loading the firmware from the Asus website to the root of the SD card and restart...no go. I tried force flashing the firmware using recovery mode, and it completed "successfully." When I rebooted...no go...and no ROM. This is when I started getting worried, because when I tried to boot into recovery, I received a red error message saying that there was a mismatch. I hard rebooted again, and booted into recovery, and reflashed my JB Rom. I did everything BUT use fastboot to load an ICS recovery image. I didn't want to take that risk.
My suggestion....leave it alone. I am leaving it to the experts. And if you are not an expert, then LEAVE IT TO THEM TOO!

Good suggestion haha - now I have been reading about nvflash being usable for the tf300, but only if you were on the ICS bootloader, wondering if you can do an nvflash type backup - don't know much about it - but after backup, upgrade to jb, then use backup to return to ICS...

I tried every method out there to get back to ICS. So there is no way. Tried fastboot, tried adb, tried wolfs downgrade method, tried restoring a backup with CWM and TWRP and many more. So unfortunately there is no way, but Scotts and Seanz Roms were the best Roms on ICS, so I think I dont have to, cause I have the best Roms to choose.
Only thing missing is NVflash and OC (its been working on )
Have you tried erasing everything

fastboot erase system
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot erase userdata

fastboot erase cache
fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash system c:\adt-bundle\platform-tools\blob (this is my path - your's may vary depending where you stored your blob)
fastboot -i 0x0B05 reboot
this completely erased my system, fixed my bootloo and brought it back to stock. Can there be a way to erase the bootloader this way???

[TWRP&CWM/Install JB OTA from custom recovery] Jelly Bean OTA for Unlocked Devices
Hi guys,as you may know,if you unlocked your bootloader you won't be able to receive OTA's anymore so you have to wait for Asus to upload the firmware on their site.Or even better you can use your custom recovery to flash a modified OTA pack wich will update your device just fine.
Warning:
** I'm NOT responsible for any damage caused to your device by using these files so use them on your OWN risk.
** This update will also flash the Jelly Bean bootloader so if you are still on .26 bootloader and you didn't used the NvFlash tool yet, well,it's time to do it because after installing this update there's NO WAY to go back, yet.
** You Custom Recovery will be replaced by the Stock Recovery (You can install this CWM Recovery after installing JB)
** I only tested with TWRP but it should work with CWM recovery too
** Verify your MD5 checsum after download
Requirements
* Your device must be unlocked and rooted
* You need to be on STOCK 9.4.5.30 ROM with no modifications to system files (build.prop, etc) (no need to do the Factory Reset)
* Use OTA RootKeeper before installing this update if you want to keep ROOT
Installation
1) Download the file for your specific SKU
2) Move the downloaded file on your internal or external storage
3) Boot your device in Recovery
4) Install the update / That's it,wait for the install proccess to finish
NOTE: If you are getting errors and you are using CWM recovery try renaming the file (i.e TF700T WW_10.4.4.16-20120927 OTA.zip - - > TF700T_ WW_10.4.4.16-20120927.zip)
Download Links
WW_SKU --- > TF700T WW_10.4.4.16-20120927 OTA.zip ----- MD5 checksum: 9d4e1e91a08254256357eb2870d2df7d
US_SKU --- > TF700T US_10.4.4.16-20120927 OTA.zip ----- MD5 checksum: 4131cab5458153856185c43e05b67ebe

Asus OTA updates aren't a complete replacement. Instead the update performs a patch to your existing files. A non-stock or non .30 version may cause a failure during the update process.
Truthfully if you're running an unlocked device you should wait for a ROM developer to make a new ROM and use that to update instead of trying to flash the Asus official update. It should only be 24 to 72 hours and a ROM won't do things like remove root or replace your custom recovery with the stock recovery.
Works 100% with CWM recovery!
Thanks a lot My friend!

Quoted for fiction
It's fine to flash if you are on stock .30. Replacing the recovery costs about 30 seconds, and replacing root on an unlocked device takes about 30 seconds as well. Then you can evaluate an Asus jb yourself before seeing a custom jb.

I have a strange problem. A while ago I successfully unlocked my infinity. That was before the jb update. I also successfully flashed custom recoveries and several roms. Didn't ran into any problems. When the official jb update came out, I restored original recovery and flashed a stock ics Rom, and after that successfully applied the jb update. The second update .30 also went smooth. I used the update file from Asus servers. Now I want to flash a custom recovery again in order to flash cleanrom. In adb I see my device and I can reboot with fastboot and stuff. So I think my drivers are ok. However as soon as I start to flash recovery.img it just says sending recovery and that's it. It just hangs there. Nothing happens. I tried everything, from changing usb ports and uninstalling drivers... It just can't send the recovery img. I use Scott's script to flash the recovery.blob. any ideas?

Glenner, did you make sure you have the img file in the same folder as you fastboot/adb command files?
If it says "sending recovery", I'd assume that it found the local file.
I don't use Windows, but I always read about driver issues in Windows. Maybe the auto-installed driver is wrong? Does "fastboot devices" return question marks or nothing?
i'm happy to report that finally it worked! seemed something strange with drivers/USB ports after all. Despite i already changed USB ports under my win 7 installation, i tried it again under win8, and suddenly it worked. I didn't reinstall the drivers or something, all went automatically. So the strange issues are driver issues for sure. Anyway, currently happy running cleanrom 2.3
thanks for all your suggestions and thinking along.....
