So, I have noticed that a lot of the newer roms have a discover icon flashing in the system tray. Is there a way to disable that? Its really irritating, and I like to leave bt discover on all the time.
Thanks!
I've tried looking in the forums and on google, but I havent found anything helpful
Go to Settings > Today > Items and uncheck the BT connection
This isnt on the today screen its in the tray... see attached screenshot.
The only items I have on my today screen are HTC home, battery status, resco and IM+ but none of those applications have those features, and when I have everything tunred off and just a plain today screen it still does it.
I just flashed my friends phone... turned on bt discover and the icon is there.. its so irritating what can I do to get rid of this thing!?
Thanks!

Battery Status
Have you disable tray launch in battery status?
I use the tray launch stuff from battery status, but the flashing bluetooth icon is not part of battery status. Like I said, I just flashed my friends phone and have not installed battery status yet and it still does it. I think its part of the new WM6.1 roms

It’s in the Bluetooth file sharing settings. If you select Setting>Connections>Bluetooth>FTP>Enable File Sharing (check) the icon is always flashing. I’m sure it’s some registry setting that can be modified to fix it.

Yah I've been looking all over the registry, I have no clue even where to start though honestly, any settings I change are 100% pure guesswork which makes me a bit nervous about trying

For what exactly? as i said this does not appear to be related to any today screen plugins
go to start\settings\connections\bluetooth
under bluetooth go to timeout tab
you'll see "Turn off Visible mode:"
select "after 1 minute" in the dropdown menu.
wait for 1 minute & the flashing is gone in the tray.
hope this help.

Thats a timeout for discovery mode... so of course after 1 minute when discovery mode turns off, that icon will go away.

All you have to do is turn off "Discoverable".
Any Bluetooth item you have already paired with will still work, so there is no need to have discoverable on all the time, is there?

if you have paired devices no need to have the discover me on, this is only use when you want new devices to see you . . .
This is the NoClock & No AM/PM mods for EC10 Mesmerize. It will remove the whole clock, or just the AM/PM from your status bar. As before, you only need to flash one of these. If you want to get rid of the AM/PM from your clock, just flash that mod. If you want to get rid of the whole clock, flash the NoClock.
**** This mod is only for TRUE EC10 deodexed ROMs****
****Boot loops may occur if you flash these to something else****
These mods contain part of the framework of the ROM, so after flashing, it will take an extra long time to reboot. This is normal.
Put the zip file on your sdcard. Boot into recovery. Flash the zip. Reboot.
EC10 NoClock
EC10 NoAM/PM
**As a note, ESKBL uses the same framework file so whichever is flashed last will be what you get. I am going to work on a combo of the two for those that want both.**
as always homie, great work
Thank you sir mucho grassy ass lol

I do like how it worked. I don't like the new WiFi/Signal icons. Any way to just get the clock/AMPM removed?
Edit: also the WiFi Full is bigger than the notification bar, great work tho!

Not sure what happened then. I flashed your no clock. It took the clock away, but it also caused a shiat load of issues. USB wouldn't connect unless set to mass storage. It wouldn't let me connect via Ask. Droid Icon went missing while in the USB mount screen. WiFi turned into a odd icon. I'd post a SS but I've already flashed MIUI.
1bar wifi: Vertical bar.
2bar wifi: Horizontal bar.
Full wifi: Big blue box just slightly bigger than the notification bar.
Reception turns into a grey box when full or a Black Underline when not.
Not sure why it did that.

Your sig says you were on frankenclean, is that what you were running when you tried this? It's only for EC10 so that would be why you had issues....

It would have to come from the builder/porter of the ROM. This one will boot loop your phone.
Is anyone using the GB rom getting FCs of the systemui while trying to connect to bluetooth in the status bar pull down on the power control panel?
It only FCs when I press bluetooth. Wifi, GPS etc. buttons all work. I can go in settings and turn bluetooth on and even turn it off using the power control panel but I cant turn it on that way. Weird I think

I get it too and its ONLY bt
Only get it for bluetooth
I believe we have found or first known issue..
There are a few other bugs popping up. We should be keeping track of them and testing functions to find more. My guess is KF1 is a leak of a beta gb rom meant for testing. But hey its not that bad and we may be able to fix some of these issues. The official ota gb release is still probably a long way off so this leak is all we have to work with for now.

It's not the only issue. There's also Call Logs, calls being made out aren't listen. Only calls recieved. Changing notification sound doesn't change for text messages but when you receive an email or a different message system like Kik it will be the notification sound you selected.
ya had the same issue with teh call logs also have issues with the alarm clock actually not working sometimes. Seems also theres a memory leak in the gb rom also not 100 percent sure about that but even with just booting the phone and letting it idle it uses up all but 80 mb of system memory.
Yeah call logs, BT FCs and not to mention tapatalk wont load for me! What next?
{RESOLVED} i forced close the phone, done!
I searched around, but was unable to find any others with the same issue. In my status bar I have an alert No service. Selected network (T-Mobile) unavailable. I am unable to get rid of the alert although I do have cell service and data???
I also tried removing the sim, rebooting and putting the sim back in...still a no go.
I have tried going to the available network page and selecting T-Mobile. When I do, it says registered on network, but the no service indicator remains in the status bar.
Any ideas?

Toggle airplane mode ON-OFF. It worked for me once.
This has happened to me on purity Rom with not Xposed installed.
I don't Know whose idea it wast to add a persistent notification about 'No service' when you are on a dead zone or airplane mode.
The signal bars and Airplane icon are enough imo.
