After a quick search, I couldn't find a topic on this. I loved the CM10 lock screen. The fact you could easily access the camera, Google Now, or unlock your phone was really helpful. Is there a mod like this for Sky-ICS rom?
If not, would there happen to be a Galaxy S3 lockscreen mod for it?
Thank you
check the addons on skyics thread
Sky ICS has look a like lock screen but your not able to customize it like in a CM/AOSP/AOKP. If you want a customizable lock screen then go to the play store and download a 3rd party.

I've used Ten Points Pro with MagicLocker for a while and I love it. It lets you customize up to 10 apps you can run immediately upon unlock. I wish I could recommend it but I can't because I just searched and found out that it has been removed from the Google Market for some reason..:crying:
UPDATE: My bad.. apparently it was removed then re-uploaded with a new name or something. I don't THINK this is something shady, as it seems to be a name change and some added features. Worth a look if you don't mind spending $1 for it. https://play.google.com/store/apps/...clocker.theme.paid.dani_rb.tenpointspro&hl=en

Sorry if this is the wrong place or if it's already been discussed. I did my best to search for it.
My wife prefers the puzzle lockscreen but it seems like that's gone with Gingerbread? Is there any way to get that back? I'm running Infused 2.2.3 right now and I guess that uses TWLauncher 3.0. I also quickly checked out the TW 4.5 here in the forums but didn't see anywhere to change the lockscreen.
I know MIUI and CM7 support this but the wife doesn't like those. She wants pretty much stock rooted but she wants the puzzles. LOL
I'm going to try extracting the launcher from Infused 1.5 and see if that will work but didn't know if there was another solution.
Thanks
Loco screens are in the frame work, the puzzles on the captivate, infuse, i9000, and some other gsm phones are only for call and text notifications. The puzzle unlock is a fascinate thing, but can be added to i9000 roms. I'm sure its possible to add an infuse but nobody has tried.
If it is the glass unlock you are talking about and you have aosp unlock instead then that's a ROM specific thing. I know glass unlock used to be default and there was an update you could flash for aosp but that may have changed, not sure right now.
The re launcher is only a part of the interface, there are Samsung specifics in the framework as well. Don't think everything touch wiz is in the launcher.
I appreciate the response. I don't know much about this stuff. Actually, I think the lockscreen we have now is called glass but it's different than the puzzle version. It's definitely not the AOSP lockscreen. This one has tabs on the side that show up when an SMS or call is received instead of the puzzle pieces.
I took the launcher apk from Infused 1.5 but it wouldn't even install. So you're saying maybe I should look in the framework folders?

That's the SGSII lockscreen. What ROM are you running? You might be able to change the lockscreen to Glass or Puzzle in the display menu or by using an app like the EDT tweaks app to change it.

Yeah, I think I remember reading now that this lockscreen is from SGS II. I'm running Infused 2.2.3. I checked the menus and didn't find anything.
Hamm...never heard of EDT Tweaks before but I found an apk for it and installed it but the "lockscreen options" menu is disabled.
It seems that Infused v2 only has the SGSII lockscreen based on the thread.
Install MagicLocker from the market. Problem solved. Different types of lock screens to use.

I ended up just flashing the stock rooted UXKJ2 leak but this is actually pretty good, thanks! I'm using it for myself.

Widgetlocker is better.
I'm not a developer but I try to play one on XDA. Seriously I'm not a developer. DlevROM Yo!
I'm running the SkyICS rom with the ICS lockscreen and one thing I love is that there is the option to either unlock the phone or to directly open the camera app, which is handy because very often I'm getting my phone for the sole purpose of taking a picture. I was wondering, is there any way to customize or has anyone made a customized lockscreen that has other apps available on it? I'd like to have a lockscreen where depending on where/how you swiped you could go directly to camera or sms or the web browser or the general unlock. Does such an app/mod exist, or is there a way to do it manually?
Thanks
Edit: Apparently I forgot the original bit of advice before "Search is your friend" is "GOOGLE is your friend." Looks like WidgetLocker LockScreen may be a good option. Before I throw down $2.99, is that what I'm looking for? Also, can we confirm that it works well with ICS?
I use Widget Locker and, if you have a few tasks you do consistently and don't want to open up the phone to access everything, then it's very useful. It does work with ICS, but if you're just interested in being able to open the camera it's not worth the money. It's worth it if you want to access more features at once, like the dialer & e-mail & SMS & camera because it's very customize-able.
I use Widget Locker as well. Works great, very customizable (especially with all of the themes available here)
Well worth it if you want to truly make your lockscreen your own. I've combined it with Missed It so I can see texts/calls/emails at a glance.
I've decided to take this out of incubation in the device specific forums and put it fully out there. All feedback is appreciated!

Update (9/7/2012): New Tasker Support for changing profiles in Wave Control!
Update 31/08/2012: Jelly Bean users are getting force closes in the Play Store app when navigating to Wave Control -- The free version's apk is available to download on this post. Please if it's working for you in Play Store download from there.. I need the install count
Wave Control uses the proximity sensor to detect hand gestures to control music/movie playback (free version) and more (paid version).
I developed this originally on the Note and luckily it happened to have one of the best proximity sensors (at least for my uses). Now I've moved on to the SGSIII and it works just as well! Works best on the SGSIII, Note and Galaxy Nexus. Not so great on HTC phones and SGSII due to their particular sensors (much slower).
Performance will vary depending on which sensor your phone uses. All HTC phones use the same slow one. Samsung uses about 3 different vendors and more models.. most are good, Sony is usually ok, Motorola is a mixed bag. I try to account for some of the differences in the sensors. But be aware you may have to wave at a different speed than in the youtube videos.
There are 4 basic gestures:
-Hover
-1 Wave
-2 Waves
-3 Waves
By default they correspond to Play/Pause, Next, Previous, Enable/Disable Controls respectively.
In the Pro version or upgraded free version, they can be remapped to any of those plus: Screen Toggle On/Off, Volume Up, Volume Down, Launch Google Voice Search, Fast Forward, Rewind, and do nothing.
Popular uses are:
When driving, don't have to take your eyes off the road to try to hit a button
When your hands are dirty so you don't smear crap all over your phone like when cooking or working on car
While on the computer, you don't have to bother waking the phone to change the song (works even when the screen is off)
New
Control music on your PC using foobar2000 controller Pro-- Now compatible with Wave Control

Not share why but when I try to go to the app in the market I get a force close of the market. It immediately closes once the install page comes up. I can go to any other app and open it to the install page and install the app.

Whoa.. that's a weird one. Maybe Google hates me??
Can you try install from a PC browser and see if it'll do the background install on the phone?

I am trying the free version for now. I really like the app so far. I do have one issue though and maybe the paid version fixes this. When I have it turned on but not in use per se, I start texting in landscape mode and it will toggle on/off the music constantly even when I am not planning on listening to music. I did look through the settings and only option I see that works is to have the app turned off while I am texting/or using the keyboard for anything like typing in this reply via xda app. Is it possible to implement a setting that IF the phone e is in landscape or IF the keyboard is in use that it overrides the app turn I g music on?
Again I am only using the free version right now for testing and will plan on using the paid app once I like the setup. Thanks and this is a great idea.

I've had a request over email from a user for a mode where it only works when the screen is off. I think this would help a lot of these type issues.
I'll see if I can detect whether the keyboard is active in another app or not. That's a great idea.
Thanks for the feedback!
Oh and which version of the Play Store are you running?

Hmm. That's the same version I have on my stock SGSIII.
I wonder if it's a Jelly Bean thing. Someone in the Galaxy Nexus thread had the same issue. I have no idea why it would be a Jelly Bean thing though.
I've been using this app since April and have a pro copy of it because I loved how original the app was and how well it worked. I find it useful when I'm driving to change my songs. Great to see this finally land on XDA.

Still doesn't work for me. I tried going to market and used the search bar for wave control. It finds it and I click on it and play store crashes. Again I went to other apps and can view them with no issues. I can update apps no issues. Next I wiped data for the play store, re-accepted once I reopened it, try to go to wave control and it still will force close.
I already have it from the browser version but wanted to test for you.

Damn. It was working on a friend of mine's Nexus w/ Jelly Bean where it had crashed before.
works great !!! Galaxy Note i717 running CM10 Paranoid hybrid!!! i will definitely use this when driving!!!!
Awesome, free version works as advertised on my RAZR MAXX running AOKP's ROM.
Don't get me wrong but apply for patent before thugs at apple copy it and claim it is there idea.
I remember when this first came out and was so impressed with the concept...and it really has a come a long way. :highfive:
This is one of the apps I repeatedly show off to others - oh and guess what, sir? I just got a Visa card and will be buying the Pro version because it's that awesome.
So essentially this post was just to say: you and this app are awesome, thanks for existing haha.
Google Now
delete please
mehhh...its alright I guess.
Great app
How about tasker integration? I would love to be able to activate/deactivate from within tasker. Another cool feature would be able to change the "key mapping" from within tasker. Say at some point I want 3 waves to turn on the screen, yet at sone other point it should simply do nothing.
I've just bought the pro version and like what I've seen so far

I found this app yesterday, and I love it.
It is like pie controls for your unrooted Note 4.
One hand, one swipe access to recent tasks and people, favorite apps and toggles.
It works flawlessly and looks cool as well. Check it out. It's free.
Lazy swipe, ONE HAND and ONE SWIPE,do whatever you want!
Slide out the "Lazy Swipe" from your screen's left or right bottom corner in any situation, you could:
1. Find and open your most frequently used applications without any settings;
2. Find and open your newly installed or recently used application, no longer need to scrolling in your many application list;
3. Switch on and off the commonly used general settings, such as wifi, bluetooth, flashlight etc...
Since this is my first post, I can't post the link to the Play Store for it, or a review of it that led me to it in the first place, but it's "Lazy Swipe".
Loving it! Thanks!
Nice! Thanks for posting!

Super super slow app
I have tried it on z1 compact running cm12.
They changed the name to Omni Swipe. About to try it now.
EDIT: I'm loving this app. I don't even flip screens much anymore. Very easy to use. Thanks.
you know pie launcher can be ran on stock phones now too
so you dont need to be root just sayin
Has anyone using Omni Swipe been having any network issues when trying to download a theme through the app settings? Lately, every time I try to download my favorite theme, or search for a new one, it keeps telling me there's something wrong with my network when everything else is working fine. All I want to do is reapply the 'Hola Awakens' theme I have on my Tab 3, which is also having the same network issue using the same app, but I can't find the install location for Omni. If I could find it, I could probably just copy the theme there. Anyway, the rest of the app works fine, aside from that pesky network thing. Any thoughts?
Dunno if this this the right section to post this. Apologies if this isn't.
Been a MIUI for some time, until I switched to AOSP Extended yesterday because I was fed up by the notifications on MIUI. Everything's been fine except that I really miss the Mi App Lock. I really liked the fact that it hid app previews as well as let me choose what time I want an app to be locked.
While I've come to understand that no third party app will hide my app previews like the one on MIUI, I still want a decent app lock. I've tried a few of the top results on the play store and liked none of them.
So I was wondering what app locks would you guys suggest. Fingerprint lock is absolutely necessary.
Also I'm rooted if that helps.
