Lazy Swipe - Like Pie Controls for Note 4 - Verizon Galaxy Note 4 Themes and Apps

I found this app yesterday, and I love it.
It is like pie controls for your unrooted Note 4.
One hand, one swipe access to recent tasks and people, favorite apps and toggles.
It works flawlessly and looks cool as well. Check it out. It's free.
Lazy swipe, ONE HAND and ONE SWIPE,do whatever you want!
Slide out the "Lazy Swipe" from your screen's left or right bottom corner in any situation, you could:
1. Find and open your most frequently used applications without any settings;
2. Find and open your newly installed or recently used application, no longer need to scrolling in your many application list;
3. Switch on and off the commonly used general settings, such as wifi, bluetooth, flashlight etc...
Since this is my first post, I can't post the link to the Play Store for it, or a review of it that led me to it in the first place, but it's "Lazy Swipe".

Loving it! Thanks!

Nice! Thanks for posting!

Super super slow app
I have tried it on z1 compact running cm12.

They changed the name to Omni Swipe. About to try it now.
EDIT: I'm loving this app. I don't even flip screens much anymore. Very easy to use. Thanks.

you know pie launcher can be ran on stock phones now too
so you dont need to be root just sayin

Has anyone using Omni Swipe been having any network issues when trying to download a theme through the app settings? Lately, every time I try to download my favorite theme, or search for a new one, it keeps telling me there's something wrong with my network when everything else is working fine. All I want to do is reapply the 'Hola Awakens' theme I have on my Tab 3, which is also having the same network issue using the same app, but I can't find the install location for Omni. If I could find it, I could probably just copy the theme there. Anyway, the rest of the app works fine, aside from that pesky network thing. Any thoughts?

AOKP/ICS Tips and Tricks/Mods and Themes

Hey all. Been loving the ICS Roms for our phone and have been doing some research into themes and mods for us. Since there wasnt a thread I figured we could put everything we find here so we can keep each other aware of whats available. Big thanks to all the Devs for making all this possible!

I have tested and have working: Music, Voice and Market.
Gmail did NOT work for me. Actually made app disappear.

ICS flavored Apps.
I have only tested and used MMS (IMO the icon itself is worth using it)
I tried the ICS icon sets but they did NOT work on Apex launcher. They work if u use Nova launcher.
Tips and Tricks:
Swiping notifications away in pull down drawer
Flying ICS Android screen. Go to system settings/about phone/keep tapping the Android version. Hold down screen on Icon to change.
In browser address bar type in "about:debug" (w/o "). This adds Debug option in browser settings. Under those settings you can change UAString to Desktop for browsing.
Hold Home key to get recent apps. Swipe left or right to remove them.

Facebook Contact Pictures
A fix for facebook not syncing pictures with contacts is to download the free app from the market called SyncMyPics. It works like a charm!
Thanks I was wondering how to get to recent apps!!!!
Running build 27 for 1 day. Power amp freezes up a lot. Netflix has audio only and word with friends works but likes to be hang a lot. Most everything else working good

[App][2.2+] Wave Control - Control your phone without even touching it

I've decided to take this out of incubation in the device specific forums and put it fully out there. All feedback is appreciated!
Update (10/11/2012): Half of proceeds from app sales from October will be donated to Breast Cancer Research
More Info Here
Update (9/7/2012): New Tasker Support for changing profiles in Wave Control!
Update 31/08/2012: Jelly Bean users are getting force closes in the Play Store app when navigating to Wave Control -- The free version's apk is available to download on this post. Please if it's working for you in Play Store download from there.. I need the install count
Wave Control uses the proximity sensor to detect hand gestures to control music/movie playback (free version) and more (paid version).
I developed this originally on the Note and luckily it happened to have one of the best proximity sensors (at least for my uses). Now I've moved on to the SGSIII and it works just as well! Works best on the SGSIII, Note and Galaxy Nexus. Not so great on HTC phones and SGSII due to their particular sensors (much slower).
Performance will vary depending on which sensor your phone uses. All HTC phones use the same slow one. Samsung uses about 3 different vendors and more models.. most are good, Sony is usually ok, Motorola is a mixed bag. I try to account for some of the differences in the sensors. But be aware you may have to wave at a different speed than in the youtube videos.
There are 4 basic gestures:
-Hover
-1 Wave
-2 Waves
-3 Waves
By default they correspond to Play/Pause, Next, Previous, Enable/Disable Controls respectively.
In the Pro version or upgraded free version, they can be remapped to any of those plus: Screen Toggle On/Off, Volume Up, Volume Down, Launch Google Voice Search, Fast Forward, Rewind, and do nothing.
Popular uses are:
When driving, don't have to take your eyes off the road to try to hit a button
When your hands are dirty so you don't smear crap all over your phone like when cooking or working on car
While on the computer, you don't have to bother waking the phone to change the song (works even when the screen is off)
New
Control music on your PC using foobar2000 controller Pro-- Now compatible with Wave Control

I'd like to see what you guys think of it. If you have any suggestions for new features or any feedback, I'd love to hear it.

Not share why but when I try to go to the app in the market I get a force close of the market. It immediately closes once the install page comes up. I can go to any other app and open it to the install page and install the app.

Can you try install from a PC browser and see if it'll do the background install on the phone?

I am trying the free version for now. I really like the app so far. I do have one issue though and maybe the paid version fixes this. When I have it turned on but not in use per se, I start texting in landscape mode and it will toggle on/off the music constantly even when I am not planning on listening to music. I did look through the settings and only option I see that works is to have the app turned off while I am texting/or using the keyboard for anything like typing in this reply via xda app. Is it possible to implement a setting that IF the phone e is in landscape or IF the keyboard is in use that it overrides the app turn I g music on?
Again I am only using the free version right now for testing and will plan on using the paid app once I like the setup. Thanks and this is a great idea.

I've had a request over email from a user for a mode where it only works when the screen is off. I think this would help a lot of these type issues.
I'll see if I can detect whether the keyboard is active in another app or not. That's a great idea.
Thanks for the feedback!
Oh and which version of the Play Store are you running?

Hmm. That's the same version I have on my stock SGSIII.
I wonder if it's a Jelly Bean thing. Someone in the Galaxy Nexus thread had the same issue. I have no idea why it would be a Jelly Bean thing though.
I've been using this app since April and have a pro copy of it because I loved how original the app was and how well it worked. I find it useful when I'm driving to change my songs. Great to see this finally land on XDA.

Still doesn't work for me. I tried going to market and used the search bar for wave control. It finds it and I click on it and play store crashes. Again I went to other apps and can view them with no issues. I can update apps no issues. Next I wiped data for the play store, re-accepted once I reopened it, try to go to wave control and it still will force close.
I already have it from the browser version but wanted to test for you.

works great !!! Galaxy Note i717 running CM10 Paranoid hybrid!!! i will definitely use this when driving!!!!
Awesome, free version works as advertised on my RAZR MAXX running AOKP's ROM.
Don't get me wrong but apply for patent before thugs at apple copy it and claim it is there idea.
I remember when this first came out and was so impressed with the concept...and it really has a come a long way. :highfive:
This is one of the apps I repeatedly show off to others - oh and guess what, sir? I just got a Visa card and will be buying the Pro version because it's that awesome.
So essentially this post was just to say: you and this app are awesome, thanks for existing haha.
Google Now
delete please
mehhh...its alright I guess.
Great app
How about tasker integration? I would love to be able to activate/deactivate from within tasker. Another cool feature would be able to change the "key mapping" from within tasker. Say at some point I want 3 waves to turn on the screen, yet at sone other point it should simply do nothing.
I've just bought the pro version and like what I've seen so far

[Q] I need a better clipboard functionality

One of the things that I loved about my ASUS Padfone 2 was the near stock UI.
The things that got changed by ASUS were mostly very useful, like the clipboard.
If I long pressed a textbox on my Padfone 2, the usual "paste" icon showed up accompanied by a second icon "clipboard".
When I clicked that icon, a panel slid up from where the keyboard normally is, which had the last copied elements as a small preview, with an additional button to edit the contents. In edit mode, I could delete elements or mark them as permanent (I guess the system would overwrite them when the cashe would be full at some point otherwise).
I miss that useful function on my Nexus 5.
Does anyone know a mod or custom ROM that does that?
I have looked into this on the play store, but the apps there require to run in the background or to switch to a third app to access the copied content.
You will have to look at the ROM feature list, but this is the first time that I have heard of this feature. If my memory is correct there aren't any ROMs with the feature but don't quote me. Third party app is your best alternative. This phone has 2GB of RAM it'll be ok in the background.
edit: You could also check xposed or make a request in the xposed thread.
I use clipper which is still a 3rd app but it works well for me. I use switchr to swipe in from the screen edge to access it.

Thanks for the replies.
I am not worried about the RAM running full, but I don't like to have any more notification icons than necessary.
Looks like I'll have to compromise clean look for functionality.
I wish google implemented the way ASUS did it into AOSP. It was really perfect.
Maybe Cyanogenmod will do this.
Thanks again for your comments.

[Q] a simple lockscreen needed

Is there a single lock screen app that does just the basics ; show upcoming appointments, missed calls messages and some short cut to few apps ? HTC lock screen did all this and i dont see a single one available for nexus 5.
Cover is nice but shows no notifications
dashclock is nice but android 4.4 for some stupid reason wont show the widget full length and shows the lock pin pad for half the screen by default.
Dashclock has a feature, that collapses all widgets. That will cause it to show all the important stuff, as soon as your screen is unlocked, having you drag the little lockpad on the bottom upwards or tapping on it to bring up the keyguard.
Edit: Also go to settings>lock screen>widgets and check maximize widgets.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
i do not see any such option.. My understanding is android in 4.4 forces you(widgets) to run minimize mode by default and a system apk needs a change to fix this https://code.google.com/p/dashclock/wiki/FAQ . did you get around this somehow?
Its probably worth mentioning that I am using beanstalk. I completely derped and forgot other Roms/non-root exist. I really don't know how the situation is, with third-party programs, but I guess you could look around for some app that forces the expanded/maximized view. Sorry I couldn't be of much help.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
is the beanstalk rom stable enough to use on my nexus5? basic functions like camera, calls, bluetooth should work fine.. ( CM for nexus 5 is not reached stable release yet)
Almost all roms here are stable enough for everyday use. Just because they aren't labeled stable, doesn't mean they aren't stable.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
You can also root and run XPosed Module - there is an option in Gravity Box that forces widgets to be maximized on the lockscreen by default.
Another app you may want to look at is Widget Locker:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.widgetlocker&hl=en
It costs a few bucks, but you can customize it to your liking.
i ended up rooting the phone ( CF auto root) and getting xposed framework and installing the maximize widget module. works fine with dash clock now. Should have done the root day 1 i got my nexus 5

"Classic" dialpad for KitKat and Lollipop

I like to see good old dialpad on my phone screen when I'm about to make a call.
Unfortunately Google decided that calling on the phone using numpad is a secondary feature but fortunately I work in a company that employs few Android developers and they did a 2 minute side project for me. The result is an app that launches dialpad within the stock phone app so that I can replace the phone icon on my home screen with the one that takes me direct to good old phone interface. (icon is labeled "Call")
I have tested the app on my Nexus 5 with both Android version. 4.4.4 and 5.0 and it seems to work fine.
Probably I'm not the only one who misses the old phone interface but who would like to keep using the stock dialer app, so i decided to share what I got for fixing it

No, you are not the only one. I really hated it when I first tried KitKat and Lollipop, and the numpad / digits would not show right away. Thank you for sharing this with everyone, it works great on Lollipop. :good:
I believe this still exists in Marshmallow. Google should really make this an option in the default app. The current behavior does not work for everyone and not everyone will find your app (or even bother looking).
5.0, 5.01, 6.x confirmed!
So...months have gone by with this annoyance... I'm running CM13, Android M.. like the other guy said, I cannot believe this app hasn't gained more attention. I have found that some of this is due to the wording of the issue at hand...kept getting alternative dialer apps in my results....BLASPHEMY... So..yeah.. So everyone knows, this also works with not only the stock dialer, but Dialer for Hangouts as well as Skype.
Too bad I can only hit "THANKS" once...
Thank you.
How to install DialerLauncher?
How to install DialerLauncher?
Newbe
with no intention to hijack your great contriubtion:
there's an xposed module that does the same thing with native app>> show dialpad
where were you before i found out this one?!
i'm sure most of the people don't want to mess with xposed, like myself, and will appreciate the provided solution(s)....
:good:
A Little Added Information...
It works very well under Nougat also. :good: Use the back button to access the recent's list.
This works on Marshmallow, if someone's wondering.
Ran across this thread trying to find a solution for the same problem. Having had a look at the linked app, I realized it was just sending some kind of intent that caused the phone app to open to the dialpad. Long story short, the Tasker "Call" action (with no phone number specified) does the same thing, so if you have Tasker, you can just create a shortcut to a task with that one action.
Well done! Thank you!
I DLed, from Play Store, following the link in the OP.
No more favorites page, when opening dialer! If you do want the favorites page, just hit the back button after opening dialer.
After a reboot it still opens the dial pad!
Using on the Moto Dialer app on Moto Z2 Play.
GREAT! GREAT! GREAT!
Works on motor 4 on 7.1.1 thanks for this
Still works on Stock Nougat. Thanks.
Awesome! Thanks so much. Just what I was looking for! ??
