[REQ?UEST]Gingerbread screen off animation

I have no idea if this is gingerbread and we will see sooner or later
regardless of this i would love to see someone create this screen off animationjust a little request though, maybe i can wait for GB if i hafta

they are flip transitions by wowthatisrandom (i think if not im sorry)
what you have to do is put them in the system/framework/frameworks-res.apk/res/anim in your rom
heres the thread you can download them from here
the one for the lockscreen is lock_screen_enter or maybe lock_screen_behind_enter

im working on making one but i have so many projects that im trying to keep up with all
the requests on my threads and trying to pump out forum requests at the same time.

from what i've heard, they're cool for like a week then they just get annoying and viewed as little more than a battery waster. kinda like live wallpapers i guess, but moreso in my opinion. you can get it with sound too; ie lightsaber power on, lightsaber power off

I don't see how this can be compared as a battery waster like live wallpapers. Those are actual running services and consistant animations over long periods of time. This is merely a transition animation that runs and terminates only when pressing the sleep button and lasts for half a second. The worst this would do is kill like 1 or 2 minutes off of your total battery charge, unless you are locking and unlocking your phone every 10 seconds.

I put these in and they dont seem to work... My phone will occasionally use the exit lockscreen transition but never the enter one

Check out Repdemption 1.9. Lou has all 4 as flashable zips. He has based it off the latest EVO framework releashed this week. It also runs the latest leaked HTC Kernal. Well worth a look.

Its not the same transitions, that's a transition to a screen off is what I had a video of. The evo transitions are between apps ect. In redemption revolution

The Flip animations do what you are explaining. There are bounce, fly and fold as well and these only seem to work with the menu's.
Flash it and check it out.

I dont think youre understanding. The video is showing a cool animation when the screen turns OFF. Youre talking about transition animations in windows flipping around. I used redemption and it does not have this in it.

I'm using the new Guy with similar transitions like that but I'd like to top it off with the crt like screen off

Just read my op it actually states that I would like the screen off animations, maybe I described something wrong in one of my previous posts but I meant the screen off

Lockscreen Animation gone

The gingerbread lockscreen was disabled last minute by HTC I believe. Is there a way to get it back? I.e. tv turning off animation when locking.
On second note, can the homescreen be used in landscape?

I sure once we get some custom roms and what not we'll get that animation.
As for the home screen, the sense launcher does not have a landscape mode that I've seen.

Sense can't be used in landscape. I'm hoping somebody makes a mod like they did with Touchwiz, so we can change the functions and stuff, as well as having it landscape

Oh really? In the Sense ROMS i had been using on my HD2, i was able to go into landscape mode. But that doesn't bother me. I just wish the would have kept the awesome lockscreen animation

I somehow have an animated lockscreen at the moment.
Not sure how I did it, in fact trying to recreate it.
The live wallpaper is being displayed on the lockscreen. Can someone else reproduce any such thing on their Sensation?

If you're using a custom ROM such as Android Revolution HD there are files you can flash to enable it in that particular ROM's Thread.

Having an animated lockscreen background is very cool right, much more interesting than an static image for now.

Disable HTC Sense Cube Rotation?

Hello,
I was wondering if there is any way to disable the 3D Cube Rotation in HTC Sense. Whenever I unlock my phone, I have to wait a couple of seconds to see the desktops rotate... very beutiful, but useless...

What ROM are you using? It might be a kernel issue

Revolution HD at the moment, but I wouldnt mind using other rom if it fixes it (I need sense though)... lets wait, I cant be the only one bothered by this feature...

I think you're the only one GETTING the feature...if it was an issue a lot more people would have mentioned it. Although saying that, I had your issue when using the Smartass governor

It is not a bug or problem, I just dont like it and would like to disable it if possible.

Ah, the animation itself? No, that can't be turned off. You'd need to use a different launcher

I also hate this one. :-(

Bulletproof rom from romanbb has the option to disable this annoying animation. Just dont understand why it is not included as option in other roms..really dont know what it is good for..

JuiceDefender Ultimate has the ability to do this as it replaces the lock screen with a simple push button to unlock. No animation. Better battery life as well.

Hey is it possible to have carousel spin when we scrolling homepages like in older 3x sense...and if it's not does anyone know if will in the future?? i already know that there is an effect when you unlock it with tweaks..but i want to know if can be full functional...

It's already fully functional HTC got rid of it in sense 4 it doesnt show up on the one series either. Only thing is the unlock carousel which you already know about

We need a working Sense 4 M10 files decoder to do this

The main problem here would be that the first and the last screens are disjoint.
(A normal linked list instead of a circular linked list, if it makes any sense to you )
Also, the added ability to delete a few panels means that the carousel effect really won't make sense if the user has lesser number of screens (panels). It actually won't even be possible for less than 4 screens (panels) and even with 4 screens (panels) it's more of a cuboid spin than carousel.
Just my thoughts about it.

I've seen a couple of requests about this, but no definitive solution. Is there a way to mod the stock 4.1.1 Rosie apk to disable the carousel effect and reenable the scrolling wallpaper? Would anyone be willing to do this or point me in the right direction so that I could attempt to do it myself?

Probably, but AFAIK no one has done it. Custom launchers still allow scrolling wallpaper.

I'd be all for using nova or something, but I actually use the sense widgets. Might come down to choosing one or the other.

Are you talking about how it was in sense 2.1 where when you to the right or the left it would just scroll instead of doing a 3d effect?

Yeah, this is what I was talking about.
I saw that, like you said, Viper supports scrolling wallpaper AND disabling unlimited scrolling, I'd rather stick with more of a stock rom though.
Tried pulling the Rosie.apk out of the latest Viper zip but it's (for obvious reasons) not compatible with other roms.
