It's already fully functional HTC got rid of it in sense 4 it doesnt show up on the one series either. Only thing is the unlock carousel which you already know about

We need a working Sense 4 M10 files decoder to do this
The main problem here would be that the first and the last screens are disjoint.
(A normal linked list instead of a circular linked list, if it makes any sense to you )
Also, the added ability to delete a few panels means that the carousel effect really won't make sense if the user has lesser number of screens (panels). It actually won't even be possible for less than 4 screens (panels) and even with 4 screens (panels) it's more of a cuboid spin than carousel.
Just my thoughts about it.

Still no dev succeeded in doing it. i'm talking as at 3.9.2012 no carousel for Sense 4.0 +

I use Flikie HD Wallpapers, it's a very nice program for HD backgrounds and almost all background have the function to scroll to the left or right.
Now i know this is not possible in Sense 3.0 because the sliding never stops. So every background with that slide function don't know when to stop the picture so it just shows the middle.
Is it possible to change this, with example the Fre3vo temp-root ? Or do we need to wait at a ROM builder or Fre3dom ?

Nope, you can't do that. Only possible with another launcher.
The Sensation has an HTC Live Wallpaper called "Streak" that has somekind of infinite movement (rotation) when going from screen to screen. I geuss someone should find a way to make something similar!
Try a different launcher. I am using GoLauncher Ex and it works quite well. I think it looks better than the Sense launcher as well.

Will the phone become slower when you use GoLauncher, i want to use it only i think it is a bit double, the heavy Sense 3.0 and the GoLauncher. I am definitily waiting for the perm root so that our great cookers can make a stripped ROM without Sense 3.0 I think were almost there!

Nope, the phone is more responsive when using another launcher. Try it

Definitely try any other launcher. You won't be disappointed at all. I personally flip around between Launcher PRO Plus, Go Launcher, and Launcher7.
For the time being at least, anything other than Sense that you use will allow your Sen4G to pep up quite a bit. But who knows what'll happen when we get a new FOTA to fix some of our standing issues.

Well Sense is not available while you are using a different launcher. It's not really dead.

I think we misunderstood (maybe just me?) your original statement that any other launcher "kills sense" in that, at least for me, I thought you meant any other launcher would bring Sense to its knees......meaning Sense was speedier than all the other launchers.
Turns out you were saying what we were albeit from a completely different direction.

Am i the only one who thinks this is bad? I like the animations, and the new filp clock, horizontal app drawer is nice too. But i HATE the grey colour scheme. It's in the 3.5 app drawer, i always switch to transparent app drawer. Now, it's on the lockscreen shortcuts, dock, notification panel, menus in short everywhere !! The settings menu has an ugly tint of white. The bottom part of the lockscreen is gone (the arc where the ring was). I hope it's an early build and they change stuff........
PS - Comparing this to Sense 3.6 in the Sensation thread, i think Sense 3.6 is better.

I must say i agree with you shrome...
It doesn't look like too much of an improvement. I like stock ICS better that the Sense 4.0 in the leaked video. And overall, i still think Sense 3.5 is the best looking UI, followed closely by stock ICS.
Isn't the grey color because of the camera with which the leak was recorded?

yeah i agree with this too,the grey looks very bad but i like every thing else except maybe the bottom bar...but i remember that when sense 3.5 i had the same bad feeling because of the crappy leaked screenshots...lets hope sense 4.0 looks better on the device
one thing i didnt understand is inclusion of capacitive buttons,why did HTC include this on a device launching with ICS? if they didnt include the buttons they could have used that screen space for apps & browsing..
Do you think that the HTC Sensation XE ICS ROM would make a better port for things like getting the camera working properly in roms such as Quattro?

Nope. As I read from pocketnow, (I can't remember the source) HTC have given a new aporoach and decided to ditch the dark black theme for this new grey theme now.

Nope. That's why Endymion and other ROMs run really well with no major inconsistent size issues.
Yeah, those ports were based on the original Sensation. Also, there was only 1 port for us, Virtuous. It required a lot of time to resize, and it wasn't as perfectly done as having it in ready format, straight from htc. remember there were so many bugs? Inconsistent widget sizes etc. There's no more point wasting effort trying to perfect the qHD port. might aswell wait for the XL ICS.

haha yes i am working on it, it is because it usually opens other apps only for SGS3 i am currently in the process in porting them!
I am happy that I could get this. It would have been netter if there is a full dedicated ROM for this
This just made sense 4 lite that much better. I didn't want sense for the widgets, I wanted it for it's fully working camera. Now I have a ROM tailored to how I would like it! Thanks OP

I use Nova launcher, super functionality, better than samsungs and better than sense 4. and still of course I have any htc apps (camera,clock,weather and so..)
Perhaps the thing I would wish for from the S3 is the lockscreen

haha i just like it for its speed and how it does not use much resources, it prolonged my HTC one X battery life quite a bit, well not really (2 hours or so)
I really liked the CRT screen off Animation on my sensation. I know it was a port from something, i think a nexus. Anyway, how ward would it be to get that on the HOX? Is it as simple as an APK or do we need more? in case anyone is unsure what i'm talking about here is a youtube link..

sense changed the drivers in 3.6 and up. we got it sort of working but it has lag or just dont work at all. It started back with the EVO 3D sense 3.0 update last winter.

if u flash viper rom, theres an option to enable the carousel animation when the phone is unlocked in the tweaks app.

i miss the carousel. I have the hacked one in my roms too but its not the same as sense 3.0/3.6

Define "it". He wasn't referring to the CRT off animation that OP was looking for. If you are looking for CRT off, it can't be enabled in Sense and is only partially working in AOSP. I'm still not sure what this "carousel" animation is though - are you guys talking about the 3D effect when you switch between home screen pages?

I currently am running the twisted ics from pwnyourace, and my wife is running the newest supreme sense.
I cannot seem to remember how to have the weather on lockscreen. You know the current weather and an animation. On supreme sense that is. Downy remember if I had a theme or something.
For ICS I never if there was a way to do it at all. Is there? If so ease tell me how. Any ideas word be great. Thanks.

On Supreme Sense its in personalize/lockscreen. I don't think you will be able to find anything close on aosp unless go locker does it, I've never used anything GO related for longer than 2 minutes so who knows

Yeah that's where I checked, I don't see it there for her. Just two photo album lock screens, and a wallpaper lock screen, and a clock lock screen.
I wonder what is up. They come on Supreme Sense without having to download a theme right?

Yeah that's where they are, and you don't need a theme. But did you by any chance install a2sd with no partition? Or delete anything from data/app? Use a file explorer and see if idlescreen_weather.apk is in data/app.
