Delete them from /system/apps/ or use titanium backup from the market.

First, you have to be rooted, here's how: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1133787
and find your root here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1331253
and then you download some applications that can remove those stock apps.. i used SystemAppRemover.apk to do the job, you can google for it
i hope this helps.. cheers!
You might want to use app quarantine it definitely removes bloatwares. Sice you saying that youre planning to be on ics your phone would definitely be rooted thus, you can lock them uaing app quarantine from the market.
i think u will need to deodex ur rom for deleting unwanted apps http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1323661

How do you create apk of built-in apps? I have AppInstaller which allows me to make backup .apk of apps that I install, but it does not show any of the built-in apps. I would definitely like to have .apk's of all built-in apps before flashing a custom ROM (when they become available), because I use QuickOffice a lot and it is included free - don't want to have to pay for it to add it back in to any other ROM.

DO NOT FLASH IT!!!!!!!
you can pull the rom apart and see all the system apks
Hi guys,
I am weighing the pros and cons of flashing to a custom JB ROM and one thing that is holding me back is losing city id from the stock AT&T ROM.
I've searched high and low for the city id apk file but can't find it anywhere. I've even tested out some caller id apps but hate them.
Any suggestions on how I can retrieve this app from my phone and install it into the custom rom?
Thanks in advance guys!!

It will be located in system/app
You could use Root Explorer to copy the apk to your sdcard and after installing a new rom copy and paste it to system/app and make sure to change the permissions on the apk reboot and then you have it.

There shouldn't be a problem using an app designed for stock rom on a custom rom?

I'm not paying for it but I found a workaround for using the trial period...
I just go to apps, and clear the cache every 2 weeks and it runs w/out asking me anything.
I don't mind having it on there b/c it's very subtle and clean. I don't have to go into any programs to see the call location, just shows up when someone is calling me.
I have galaxy tab 2 wifi p3110. I rooted it and installed CyanogenMod ROM 10.1 on it. I am satisfied with it. However, I would like to change 2 things.
I prefer Google Play Music than that stock Apollo music app. I cant find a way to uninstall that app.
Does uninstalling it affects the CM RoM?
Also, I like the background of the app drawer to be transparent not black bcoz I dont like that Background. So, please help me out..

1) go to root/system/apps, find apollo music apk and delete it..
And it will not affect the rom..
For other system apps I suggest you to use app like root freezer, freeze the system app first to see weather it affects the functionality or not and then uninstall it(the app ahs the opt to do that)
2) every launcher has that feature :silly:
if it's helping you it must be thanked.

its very easy bro!
follow these steps!
1. download root uninstaller from play store
2. open it, when it asks for root access, allow it!
3. find whichever app you want to delete!
bravooooooooooo!!! u deleted it! ))
:good::good:
Rooot uninstaller works too.
So does Titanium Backup.
As for transparent back you can get nove launcher.
go to nova settings> app drawer and then choose desired transparency.

Check If the custom rom you wanted to flash is for your device or not....
Carefully check model no etc before doing so...... Because for every device you need only the rom build specially for it....
Ok

I think you can install android 4.1 and above compatible apps....
But tell me that all apps are not installing or only some apps....
Because apps won't install if same version already exists or the apk package is unsigned....
So check 2-3 more apps like apex Nova launchers... And check if these are working or not
Hit thank button if this post helped you

Have you tried signing the app...
To sign the app download "ZipSigner.apk"
.
.
.
And uninstall previous version if already exists..

the apps are signed and i don't have any previous version of them...
when i try to install them...it says parse package error and i also have checked the allow non-market apps setting and the apps are not corrupted as they install on other devices..
.
.
From the starting i just wanted to ask... does custom roms only provide the ui style of the kitkat or we can actually install kitkat compactible apps on them????

this error occurs when either file is currupt or not compitable with android version.
and i think if you install kitkat custom rom then you can install kitkat compitable apps... it should not be depend on your device's stock rom...
but dont have much information about it... ..

depending on the custom rom you have installed there could be a addon package for all additional Google and Samsung apps. What also works: grab the stock browser app (anywherre on the internet or from any addon package for other stripped down custom roms (like XtreStoLite) and place th apk in /system/app.

Because you do not install it. You just move it there, set permissions and reboot.
