I have a Galaxy S2 I9100 with CM 9.1 installed. Baseband is I9100XXLQ6.
That baseband is working fine in Germany with O2 as carrier. But the thing I am wodering is:
Does my cell phone also work in the US with an AT&T sim card and AT&T as carrier? Or do
I have to put another modem on my phone. Does anyone of you use the LQ6 in the USA?

hey everyone, on the sasktel network here with my galaxy I9000M. anyways i recently wanted to get my phone back to stock after using roms so i downloaded all of the proper firmware and everything is working great as far as the phone functioning.
the only problem is i can't connect to the network. the firmware i got was for the bell network. Do i need a different modem or something? please help, thanks in advance.

this is my first post here, I have installed MIUI , it is brilliant, on my Samsung Galaxy S.
Now I have a problem (it is not because of MIUI) I only get Edge, I know that it has to do with the modem etc. but I need help
I am using a South African (Cell C) sim Card in a telstra phone I9000T Cell C runs on 900mhz and I have no idea why the stock modems wont work, even the original Telstra Firmware only gave me edge.
When I insert my Vodacom (read: vodafone) sim card it is perfect.
Any ideas, I am at your mercy.

Hi, i have a Galaxy S, model GT-I9000, firmware FROYO 2.2, baseband I9000XXJP3, kernel 2.6.32.9 and compilation number xwjpf.
Since i remove the netlock, and change the ROM i can´t get 3G signal to make a phone call. My mobile operator is TMN from Portugal but i'll tried already with Vodafone also from Portugal.
The problem is the same.

Hi everyone.. I need help.. I have galaxy s3 verizon running android 4.4.2. I want to unlock it for any GSM network all I found is for android 4.1.2 or below Kitkat and unable to find any solution for Kitkat 4.4.2. Please help me to unlock my phone to use any sim.
Newer vzw phones don't actually have a sim lock. You just need to put the new sim in, and add APN info. Not sure if this is the case with the gs3.
I'm using a vzw phone in Spain right now.. Didn't do anything to it.. Inserted new sim, added APN.

For future reference, VZW gs3 works fine with a tmo sim, just add apn's for your carrier, as stated above.

I bought an unlocked g920a from a store in the us when I've been there and I'm using in my country with different network supplier. The phone came rooted and for some private reasons I need it unrooted. I've installed with odin G920AUCU3BOI2 which is the original at&t 5.1 firmware. The problem is that inspire of network band supported by the phone are the same as my Carrier , I have only 2g and 4g, and I can't connect to 3g at all. I got this problem also with the rooted version came from the store. Any idea how to fix it? Thanks a lot
