this is my first post here, I have installed MIUI , it is brilliant, on my Samsung Galaxy S.
Now I have a problem (it is not because of MIUI) I only get Edge, I know that it has to do with the modem etc. but I need help
I am using a South African (Cell C) sim Card in a telstra phone I9000T Cell C runs on 900mhz and I have no idea why the stock modems wont work, even the original Telstra Firmware only gave me edge.
When I insert my Vodacom (read: vodafone) sim card it is perfect.
Any ideas, I am at your mercy.

hey everyone, on the sasktel network here with my galaxy I9000M. anyways i recently wanted to get my phone back to stock after using roms so i downloaded all of the proper firmware and everything is working great as far as the phone functioning.
the only problem is i can't connect to the network. the firmware i got was for the bell network. Do i need a different modem or something? please help, thanks in advance.

I have a Galaxy S2 I9100 with CM 9.1 installed. Baseband is I9100XXLQ6.
That baseband is working fine in Germany with O2 as carrier. But the thing I am wodering is:
Does my cell phone also work in the US with an AT&T sim card and AT&T as carrier? Or do
I have to put another modem on my phone. Does anyone of you use the LQ6 in the USA?

i have a note 3 n900w8 (canada) and my provider is videotron.
when a look for network operators , i don't see the real names of the providers with stock rom , what is see is:
videotron
videotron prtnr1
videotron prtnr2
with somes roms i can see the reals names :
videotron
rogers (wich is a videotron partner wich i can connect )
bell
telus
with another rom i see : (wich is the best for me)
videotron
videotron lte
rogers
rogers lte
rogers 3g
rogers 2g

bell lte
telus
telus lte
wich part of the roms change that ?
because the roms wich show that the way i like are buggy
is there a way to modify that with any rom ?
i read thing on apns.xml and other files but can't do anything...

Hello everyone I'm new to XDA so sorry if this is the wrong way to ask a question, i have a Galaxy note 4 (SM-N910H) recently updated to MM via Nepal firmware but i live in India and I use vodafone sim, but i'm unable to select 3g (WCDMA) network as it gets no service but works fine with (GSM). so please anyone help, do i have to flash a diffrent modem or something?

I purchased the Galaxy S7 (SM-G930F) and it does not have wifi calling , and as I searcehd and read post in the forum , it seems that it doesn`t exits for this phone ,
I live Florida and connected to T-Mobile through sim card , can I flash the latest or the software that T-Mobile has here in america for the Samsung S7 .
