[Q] Wifi Calling from SGSIII JB Leak?? - HTC Sensation

Just wondering if it was possible to get a JB compatible version of the T-Mobile Wfi Calling app now that there is a leak for the SGS III that has a working version? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1883169
Sorry if this has already been asked elsewhere, i'm just anxious to try JB, but I have to have wifi calling. Unfortunately I don't know enough to do the work myself to get it working.
Thanks,

I don't believe wifi calling will work, I looked at the device tree for pyramid on jellybean branch and right now wifi calling is removed
It'll be easier to use the sensation wifi calling from a jellybean sense in the near future
Whenever t-mobile decides to that is

Wifi Calling

I am curious if the Wifi Calling on this device is still available if you switch ROMs to one of the AOSP or Stock OTA Roms, I have a Nexus S but I will be moving to a place for a few months and the signal sucks completely and I will need to be able to receive calls from work on my phone.
Since the Nexus S doesn't support this and the fix doesn't appear to be anytime soon, I was checking to see if this device will allow it outside of the stock ROM from T-Mobile
Yes, Wifi calling is available on other roms besides stock.

thank you so much for this reply.
I have talked to T-Mobile about the Nexus S and they were surprised that they couldn't provide Wifi Calling on it. And unlike AT&T and a few other providers, T-Mobile doesn't offer a Femtocell as a option.

It works on CM7 but has a couple issues still, and on EB Froyo it works flawless. I have been on this rom for about a week and I have to use wifi calling at my house so it is always on and I have had no problems.

[REQ] T-Mobile wifi calling app

I have an unbranded Sensation. Is there anyway someone can pull the wifi calling app and the libs needed for it from their phone? I want to see if I can get it to work on an unbranded Sensation
I would love to have the same app, signal in my apt. sucks
You will need root before you can push over the kernel / kineto libs needed to support the Wifi calling app.
i guess someone can work on this now since S-off is available.

[Q] (help) motorola xoom 3g verizon ..updated to ics wifi only os

Hi guys I need help or info about this Ive always wanted Motorola Xoom wifi only but I received Verizon one with 3g not upgraded to lte . I rooted it and installed ics for the wifi only system from Google or android website its stock ..
And works actually very well no 3g ..nothing about service I don't mind since I'm not with Verizon and not planning to go with them I just need wifi but my question is ...is it right I mean everything works good only the battery It seems like honeycomb stock verizon build battery stays longer is it because of wifi only ice version ..or something I'm not sure if somebody can help me with info
Hmmm ... me too. I have a Xoom tablet arriving this week, and it was listed as "MZ600 Xoom, LTE ready, Verizon". Which rom version should I install? I do not plan to activate it with Verizon, as I already have a dinc running CM7 nightly build 258, and waiting for ics. I would just like to run ics on the Xoom. If I don't activate the Xoom, which rom should I use, or CAN I use??
If both of you are not planning to activate with Verizon, using a Wifi only ICS ROM won't be a bad idea. I too have installed this to a friend of mine and he hasn't experienced any issues. You will not be missing out of any features because the only main difference is the 3g / LTE radio.
So anyone has seen the stock ICS for the xoom 3G version?
AFAIK wifi only is the only model to get an official update. Running the wingray build on cdma or lte is just fine.

Captivate wifi calling with t-mobile sim card

Hi, I have a question about my Samsung captivate that is unlocked and running CM9. I have a phone plan with tmobile, and was wondering if I could get the wifi calling feature that is on the vibrant on my captivate. I am comfortable with flashing custom roms and the like, so if I have to make some changes, that is fine.
In short, my question is “Can I get the wifi calling app that is available on the tmobile vibrant on my unlocked captivate running CM9”.
Thanks, Ben Finch
I'm going to assume you have an up to date SIM from T-Mobile. Some older cards that came out just about the time the vibrant did were incompatible with Wi-Fi calling, and required people to get new ones. So, if it doesn't work, that's a possibility.
I work in a phone store, got to see that action first hand.
As for Wi-Fi calling, you shouldn't have to hack unless you're running a stock Rom on the captivate that has unknown source installations (side loading) blocked by default. If that's the case, browse the stickies.
Wi-Fi calling, last I checked, was simply a regular apk. Check out the vibrant and galaxy s 4g forums, I'm sure it's posted there somewhere. I'm out of town and using my phone, otherwise I'd be able to extract it from my wife's g2 and post it. PM me if you don't find it there, I think I can get it from my desktop eventually.

Hi Ben,
I'm having the same exact issue. Did you ever find a solution? If so, please advise. Both Samsung and T-Mobile reps say it's not possible to have Wi-Fi calling with Captivate. Seems there should be a way.

[Q] Wifi Calling files

Does anyone know the exact files, apks, libs, etc required to make wifi calling work?
I compared the latest EU rom and TMOUS rom and have a general idea but i'm not exactly sure which extra/different files make it functional.
I'm trying to make a MIUI rom based on the stock Tmobile for functional wifi calling.
still need some insight on this...
I would like to know as well. I also would like to add wifi calling to MIUI. But I have a T-Mobile Galaxy s2. But maybe the files are the same

Sorry guys sometime ago T-mobile changed how wifi calling is integrated into android. It used to just be a few files but not anymore. Currently no one has gotten Wifi calling working on a non T-mobile based rom since it was integrated into the framework. Once someone figures it out it will most likely apply to all phones but right now we got nothing.
There is actually an $1100 bounty to get it working on the Nexus 4 and so far devs are stumped.
