Anyone know of a way to root the tf700 on the go?
I'm stuck in a hotel room with wifi but no computer...
So far I've only seen a windows script that does it with adb. The tab is unlocked so I do have access to the stock recovery... anything I can do with that?

Looking to gain root and get CMW working but I don't have a computer or USB cable available. Any ways around it, or shall i have to wait?
Well I know you can get cwm through rom manager but not sure how you would get root without a PC.
You cant. You need adb to gain root.
Hi All

have anyone found something about this?
so far ive tried all the existing root methods but methods like the xoom cant be used due to locked bootloader and usually involves an .img. Also, in recovery you cant install update because there is no sdcard. im going to try and look at the scripts parsed by the init and see if we cant find something. still brand new so im sure, in due time.
I sent it back to amazon because it's a rubbish product... And it is locked.
I just purchased an Asus Transformer and I have been trying to root the tablet in order to be able to use my android phone for internet acces. I have tried numerous methods but can't seem to find the right one. My build is 9.2.1.17 - 20120312 with Android operating system 4.03.
Anyone have any ideas where I might find the right root software and instructions?
Thanks

You don't need to root the tablet to tether to a phone, you need to root the phone to run wireless tether.

have the same problem
Actually it seems that there is no way to root the tablet. I've tried the AT100 way, but then fullbricked the tablet. I don't recommend to try it this way. Better waiting for an AT200 way to root it.
Anything new? i would like ONLY root my tablet, no custom rom, O N L Y root ;(
Has anyone figured this out? I've tried SuperOneClick, tried to manually add su, tried to flash signed su.zip in recovery, cant figure anything out on here..
Hello,
I have a MZ604 tablet and an Ubuntu desktop. I'm completely new to ROMs/Rooting/Flashing stuff. I was following a tutorial for Ubuntu until I finished unlocking the bootloader. After that I could not find anything showing me actually how to root, without an autoroot. I'd like to know if I can get and flash SuperSU manually and how to, or if I need to do anything else before flashing. (I also need to know where to get the SuperSU file to flash.)
[EDIT] Oh, and I don't have WI-FI. Just LAN for my PC.
Thanks! -Code
P.S. Some reasons why I'm not trying an autoroot thing is because:
1) I can't find any Linux autoroot programs.
2) I already tried stuff like Kingoroot and Kingroot. Which leads to point 3...
3)Kingo/Kingroot put a virus on my tablet that displays adverts when I connect to the internet, so I want to manually flash.
