Dear Community!

have the same problem

Actually it seems that there is no way to root the tablet. I've tried the AT100 way, but then fullbricked the tablet. I don't recommend to try it this way. Better waiting for an AT200 way to root it.

Anything new? i would like ONLY root my tablet, no custom rom, O N L Y root ;(

Has anyone figured this out? I've tried SuperOneClick, tried to manually add su, tried to flash signed su.zip in recovery, cant figure anything out on here..

[Q] Flash Rom without Root Prior?

I just got a TF but it has a s/n of B80 so I know I can't root for the time being. I have a Moto Backflip and a Samsung Captivate so I feel I'm pretty experienced when it comes to modifying Android devices. I've yet to run into a root issue like this for my TF. So my core question can I still flash a rom without root? I tried searching for this but I'm not having any luck. If you have any info or links to other threads that would be awesome. Thanks!
No you cannot. To flash a ROM you need CWM recovery and to get CWM you need root.

[Q] Can't root galaxy tab plus..

My husband has been trying all day to root my Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 plus, using the software provided here in the forums. I have superuser, clockwork, and nothing works. I installed a root checker and as I suspected, my rooting attempts have all failed. My husband has tried just about every single root link on the forums. We're really new to the rooting world, in fact we have never rooted anything before this, so it's all new to us. I'm sick and tired of the bloatware on my tablet, and tired of having an SD card that I can't use the way I want.
I already had ICS on the device before trying to root, so I don't know if that is why the root is not working properly. Any advice would be fantastic! I'd rather not try to do this alone and brick a $400 tablet. We followed every single step on these forums to root, and it seems like it's a bit more technical than what xda makes it out to be. I'm not looking to use ROMS or whatever...just looking to get rid of bloatware and be able to put my app's on my SD card.
Have you been able to successfully install the custom recovery? (ClockworkMod)

Is that your exact device and what you're trying to do ?

[Q] Is it possible to root a Cubot Rainbow?

Hello XDA-Devs.
I'm a new user here on the forums, the reason I signed up is because I've been searching for a way to root my Chinese phone, (Cubot Rainbow).
I've tried so many ways to root it from one click root apps to most apps available on PC. I was wondering, if there is a way that one of you lovely members could share it with me. I'd me very grateful.
Thank you,
-BBerserk
Well, I haven't ever heard of the manufacturer so I doubt there'd be any one-click root apps which are compatible with your device. Is there a custom recovery for your device, though? If so, you could flash the SuperSU binary zip.
Hello did you manage to make root the CUBOT rainbow? I've tried all sorts of ways, and I managed to right maybe someone knows a way? Thanks in advance

Rooting Motorola Moto G5 Plus with a non-admin PC?

Hi guys,
im new to XDA but i've been messing with rooting and stuff on a few android phones for a while and recently i got my hands on the new Moto G5 Plus. And ofcourse this thing needs root if it wants to call itself 'my phone' But the problem is here: I dont really have a computer... I saw some tutorials on how to do it but step 1. You have to unlock the bootloader. Im pretty sure this can only be done the official way by using motorola's software so... yeah. Now at school i have a pc but i can't use anything that needs administration rights. It's just ment to use the Internet and such. So i can only use pc programs that don't need an installation or anything. And a step back, you can't even do anything on it with a pc unless you have the drivers. And surprise surprise, you have to install these. On my previous phone, a samsung galaxy S3 neo. I rooted it, installed twrp and cyanogenmod with lollipop 5.0. And without a computer. I rooted it with KingRoot, a oneclickroot program for the people that want to root just for the root acces and dont really care about how it's done and stuff like that. Then with rom manager installed twrp. And with twrp i flashed CM. So i tried OneClickRoot software on my G5 Plus. And it failed. Kingroot, kingoroot, framaroot, baiduroot, towelroot, oneclickroot etc. And all failed, which is probably because it's locked.. Well OFCOURSE that's the reason what am i thinking!? But back to the phone. If anyone has an idea on how to do this if its even possible... Please let me know! I tried everything.. (i think?) I would prefer a way where it only roots so keeps the stock recovery. This way i can still install system updates right? I have no idea..
Thanks alot. PS. Sorry for probably many grammar mistakes.
From the little research that I did, it seems like you HAVE to use a computer to do it. My advice is, since you are still at school, get some friends... that have computers and use it. Another thing that I thought was somewhat bootleg, get another android device and install the fastboot command on it and use a usb otg cable to connect to it. I have adb working as a command, so I guess fastboot could work as well lol.
Good luck!
