[Q] Is it possible to root a Cubot Rainbow? - General Questions and Answers

Hello XDA-Devs.
I'm a new user here on the forums, the reason I signed up is because I've been searching for a way to root my Chinese phone, (Cubot Rainbow).
I've tried so many ways to root it from one click root apps to most apps available on PC. I was wondering, if there is a way that one of you lovely members could share it with me. I'd me very grateful.
Thank you,
-BBerserk

Well, I haven't ever heard of the manufacturer so I doubt there'd be any one-click root apps which are compatible with your device. Is there a custom recovery for your device, though? If so, you could flash the SuperSU binary zip.

Hello did you manage to make root the CUBOT rainbow? I've tried all sorts of ways, and I managed to right maybe someone knows a way? Thanks in advance

[Q] Rom Before Root?

Hi guys,
Alright I have done everything to root this phone. huawei u8652 I even tried root pros after two days with the tech he was not able to root this phone. he tried superone click many versions unlock root doomlord all versions gingerbreak etc. The programs seem not able to get shell permissions not able to write busybox and comes up with things like ( are you root? ) waiting for device etc. lots of permission denied on mount.
I was wondering if installing the rom first would correct this. a have a copy of cyanogen mod 7.2 version 3 Is this safe and can I go back to stock rom if need be? Any dangers of bricking going this way?
any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks BK

Argos/ Bush MyTablet 7.0"

I come here absolutely begging for help!
For Christmas, my parents sent me an Argos/Bush MyTablet 7" inch and my god is it a pain to use. Now its all out of the box and no way to return it, I am therefore with no choice but to use it. I've searched for hours trying to find a way to root and install a custom rom on this device but to no avail. Including in my search "generic rooting" "generic custom roms" but I'm too paranoid they will mess up the device.
I do have some basic experience with this kind of stuff and was wondering if anyone could at least point me in the right direction to either at least being able to root this device or the right kind of tutorials into developing my own(because I may aswell experiment if one doesn't exist.)
I am eternally grateful to anyone who can help.
Root succesfull
Hi there I hope this is helpful but I managed to obtain root on same device using kingroot. But have not managed to find both custom rom or recovery for the device if you have since managed to install custom rom or recovery I would live to hear about it good luck mate

Do "one click root solutions" work?

Hi guys,
I'm getting a new phone soon (hopefully the OnePlus 3!) and of course I'll be rooting, my question is do one click root solutions like Kingo and One Click Root actually work?
I know it's "lazy" but I mostly just want root access and am not particularly bothered about unlocking the bootloader or installing a custom recovery, would using a one click program (assuming they work) be more or less likely to brick/cause bootloops/other issues than conventional methods?
Thanks in advance

Hey Guys,
So I'm having problems with rooting a Unimax V351 with android version 4.4.2. I have tried Multiple apps and PC programs to root this phone and I'm not having any luck. I want to know if anyone has been able to successfully root this phone and the process they used.
Thanks,

This can be answered simply by doing a Google search for:
"How to root (your model number)"
If that doesn't find anything then there is not a known method for that device, you'll have to continue experimenting with app or PC.
Or, you can verify your bootloader is unlocked, if it is then you can try learning how to build a custom recovery for your device then use it to flash SuperSU.zip to root the devicd. There is plenty of information on Google and here at XDA that explains building custom recovery so don't bother asking, just do some googling searching and you'll find plenty of info for building custom recovery, building won't be easy but finding the information will be easy.
