Guys I am currently using CM10 kangs, and now i want to go back to GB as i think cm7 is much smoother than cm9/cm10 builds(scrolling, smoothness, etc).
The problem is i cannot find the proper firmware to revert back to GB.
I need a complete firmware for GB base.
I have tried the firmware 1.17 from the following thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21711154
But i m stuck on HTC logo.
can anyone provide me a proper link to the required firmware?
Thanks in advance.
The 1.17 fw should work.. I think the cm7 flash is not proper.. Did you do full wipe? (if Cwm - factory reset, if 4EXT - format all partitions except sdcard)

yes i wiped[4ext Superwipe]! But dont know why is it stuck on bootloader!
I flashed the GB radio too to check if there was some problem.
I think firmware upgrade from GB to ICS was around 30+MB but now those firmwares are of size around 10MB.
DOes that mean they dont have all the files necessary for downgrade? Not sure, but just using my commonsense lol.

No don't use superwipe script especially if you are flashing AOSP roms.. It's not compatible.. Do wipe from 4EXT itself as I've mentioned earlier and reflash the rom that will solve your problem
Also the 1.17 firmware has enough components which support gb roms.. Nothing is missing

reverting back to GB, I always put the right PG58IMG.zip on my SD card and then reboot into bootloader.
as soon as it is installed, then, I remove the SD card from my Sensation, delete the file from the SD [mounted on my PC], and then restart the phone in recovery to flash my GB CWM backup.
if you want, you can download the PG58IMG.zip I use to revert back to GB. it's 14.618.502 byte weight.

I came from cm7.1 i flashed the rom the same as i always flashed any other rom. Im not an expert or anything but im not a newb i have done this before. But what i didnt do was a suoerwhipe should i have done that? I followed how you are supposed to install it i even watched tutorial on youtube to make sure i did it right and i did.
What the rom keeps doing is rebooting my phonr and i keep getting stuck on the htc logo. It will go to thr htc logo then reboot thrn go back to the logog then reboot again it does that over and over. And even when i tried to flash my cm7 clockworkmod backup it didnt work it still did it that had me extremely nervous that i was screwed. To fix it i had to refkash the firmware and then fkash the rom again clear the cache and everything all over again.
I thought it was over but then it did it again i and i jusr went back to cm7. I really want to use this rom anybody know why it is doing this? And how i can fix this?

Firstly, you should always superwipe when going to a different ROM (that is, a ROM from a different family).
Secondly, read the first couple of posts in the Inquisition thread and make sure you are using the right firmware.
I am having the same doubt whether you have upgraded the firmware. If you are using ICS version of virtuous inquisition you must upgrade the firmware with v3.24 (Revolutionary) which has the HBOOT 1.27 . Please go through the following thread.

I would suggest you may have failed to delete the firmware .img file from the sd card before you tried to boot the ROM?
Somethings wrong bc mine is 98% stable

When you say firmware are you talking upgrading to 3.24? Because i didnt do that. I thought the only firmware you needed was the one included with the Rom that they tell you to install first. And boomboomer is right i also didnt delete the firmware .img.
But which one of these is causing the problem? Me not deleting the firmware.img off the root of the sd card. Or me not updating my htc firmware to 3.24?
I didnt know you had to update the firmware to 3.24 the first time a flashed this rom like 2 weeks ago i didnt do that and it seemed to work fine i just followed this youtube tutorial
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sF2OWf0D9XQ
In it it says nothing about updating to 3.24.

3.24 is not "required" by the VI 3.0 rom, but most users that use it experience little to no problems, compared to the previous firmware. Bottom line, it's more stable using 3.24.
Your right i didnt. you think thats whats causing it?

You aren't reading the help you're bring offered. Delete the img file to stop the boot loop, if you want then update to 3.24 for better compatibility with ROM 3.0.0.

Yes , you can . After flashing the ROM, do not reboot. Just power off. Then remove the sdcard . Put the the firmware file on the root of your sdcard using a pc. Insert the sdcard in phone. Boot into bootloader. Then follow on screen instruction. Hope you knowhow to boot into bootloader.
By the way, why not doing things in traditional way ??? I mean first flash firmware then you flash ROM.
I already flashed the rom and don't have an adapter to plug my sd card into my PC. Can I just download it from my phone and move it to the root of my SD then boot into bootloader?
And I flashed the rom first because i was told updating to 3.24 wasn't required. Plus I was kind of confused as to which 3.24 firmware to download and i just wanted the rom to bad but I have the right firmware now.

Yea its best to use the 3.24 fw. 3.12 causes reboots bootloops (grab the milk) and just ics based rom issues.

Yea. Go ahead flash the 3.24 then boot into recovery do a superwipe and reflash the rom. Just in case it causes issues with the rom already running.

Put it on the root of ur sd. Flash the superwipe then reflash ur rom.

I have HTC Sensation 4G (T-Mobile) and downloaded the 3.2 firmware here:

I used T-Mobile one, though I guess it didn't matter because I have superCID. When I turn my phone on it keeps restarting at the white HTC screen, vibrates, then HTC screen again. Can't start up my phone.
Don't think it matters..but I did delete "su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed" a while back.
Just put the correct PG58IMG on ur SD card and let the bootloader do the update once again ..
Remember also to remove the pg58img file from the sd card after the installation of the firmware

Also keep in mind that when you install new firmware you have to wipe and reinstall your ROM. A lot of times the Cache and sometimes the Data partitions will corrupt when you install new firmware, so you will need to grab a flash-able ZIP of your current ROM (or Android Revolution HD, it's nice as well!).
Go into recovery mode, wipe everything but your SD card (of course) then install your ROM again from your SD card.

Oh wow. Firmware 3.32 only works with ICS ROMs, right? I didn't wipe and flash a new ROM, just ran the same Gingerbread HTC sense that came with the phone. That would probably be the reason why I bootloop?

Yeah, it's for ICS ROMs, but I would think it would still work with Gingerbread. I'm not sure. I know from experience that if you flash a new Radio, RIL, Firmware, etc it is recommended to reflash your ROM, no matter what ROM you're on. Since the OS relies on the firmware, RIL, and Radio that you were using before, it can't load the new package without a wipe.
The situation is kind of like switching ROMs and then dumping the Data and Cache partitions from your OLD ROM onto the new ROM before it even boots. In most cases, it won't boot.

we need the correct pit file so we can re partition the device in odin to gb without bricking the device.
Odin one click partitions the device for ics that is why the internal memory card gets wiped. if someone can figureout how to extract the one click file and get the pit for that we may be able to rebuild the pit for gb with a mount list from stock gb.

Just use ODIN to flash the I727 firmware from SamMobile. It'll restore GB and the correct baseband at the same time without tripping the counter. When I did it, it actually saved and ported my apps and user data back into the GB firmware. I'm not sure what that was about, but it was kina nice. Of course, the phone wasn't rooted after the flash so some of the apps (that require superuser) wouldn't function, but it didn't matter because I used ODIN to install CWM and then just restored the last nandroid I did before I flashed the ICS leak. You can also use CWM to flash whatever baseband you want because the nandroid won't do that.

EDIT...I see were some have had luck using a nandroid to get from GB to ICS, but it only seems to work for some. I have not seen anything about going from ICS to GB with a nandroid. Personally, I think it best to just use stock firmware ODIN method until things are ironed out a bit more.
I nandroid back to gb from ics just fine, but I highly recommend u use the darksode script first and then restore backup, it configures partitons for u.
All I did to go back to GB is full wipe then flash the GB rom I wanted then rebooted. I'm even using the UCLA4 BB and working fine for me.

Thanks mate really appreciated but could u plz post some links where to download files, and can i do that without rooting the phone, i also dont know what mean s-off.
Sorry, I can nor provide links as I am on my phone. But basically, you need to get s-off by using the juponotbear method. Google it,or check in dev section. After s-off, you need a custom recovery, like CWM. Place the pg58img.zip file on the root of your sd-card, and reboot into boot loader but removing and reinserting the battery, and then hold town power+vol down. It will ask you if you want to install, just confirm. Then remove the pg58img.zip.file.from your SD, and then download the gb firmware for your acid (might take some time to find the right one), and install it like you did with the recovery. Now, if you reboot, you will get a bootloop, because you have a ICS Rom on a gb firmware. Remove the pg58img.zip file from your SD, and download a gb ROM of your choice. Then boot into boot loader, and select recovery. When you have booted into recovery, wipe data, and flash rom from SD card. That should be it
