I have not seen a thread for CM10 yet. I know Steve has posted for some other devices, but not for the N7, so I figure might as well have one until a maintainer starts one. I am not a developer or a part of the CM team, I just feel a need for a thread for people to post questions, comments, answers, etc for this ROM.

Has anyone had any soft-reboots? I have one occasionally (happened twice now) I was never near a computer so I couldn't pull a logcat.
On 9/6 with no problems. Thanks for the thread!

No soft reboots here. Everything working fine.
If anyone is interested in getting the tablet UI then you should check out this patch:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31244515&postcount=534
Running 09/07 no reboots here. Must have been a bug with the build I was on, I stayed at the second nightly for a while
Is it just me or did they take the nightlies off ROM manager?
Had a soft reboot some nightlies ago, that's all.
The only annoying bug I found is with the wifi. If I set it to never sleep, the battery drains relatively fast. If I set it to sleep when the screen is turned off, sometimes when I turn back on the screen the wifi "hangs" in "searching for wifi networks". The only solution then is reboot.
Other than that, it's been great.
cm-10-20120909-EXPERIMENTAL-grouper-burnsra.zip is unbootable for me, it just loads CM bootanimation forever. I can't get into recovery to restore backup either :/ probably have to get on a computer with ADB.
edit: nvm just got into recovery. We're good. Don't try running 09/09 people!
Any idea why on any cm10 builds my instant uploads/picasa web albums don't show up in my gallery?
0909 is bootable, but from what I can tell it needs a full data wipe before it'll boot properly. Not sure what got changed, but it's experimental for sure!

thats what i was wondering. I think the trebuchet port has to be finished, as I don't see an option for transition animations. Temporary workaround is to use a different launcher, although I would prefer not, so I wait for it to be finished

There's even a newer one than that.

There is a PicSync version and a non-PicSync version. As of now, you have to chose between PicSync (Picasa Web Albums) and the CM customized camera. Obviously, on the Nexus 7, we're not missing out on much by foregoing the CM camera.
There's more info about the updated gapps packages here:

Alright, I noticed you guys haven't seen a nightly release in a while and since I made this for a friend of mine and even gave it to my brother, I figured everyone should have it too. This is basically Cyanogenmod 7.2. No, I will not build CM9 for your device, and I probably won't end up maintaining this release (I might, not sure.)
The Rules:
Don't report bugs, this is a nightly also I am sure bugs will be picked up already. Treat this as any CM nightly. Wipe before flashing (unless coming from a previous pure CM build and even then, wipe cache and dalvik.
Instructions:
Download > Wipe Data, system, dalvik, and cache. > flash > enjoy
Download link:

Gapps:

Enjoy guys.

not to gripe, just purely sharing my experience
the shift has problems making and recieving calls. No audio is the problem. A restart solves it, but it comes back at its leisure. Another problem is that the time doesnt stay synched with the network. I flashed using Clockwork and Twrp. I made sure to wipe x3, and i reDL'd the rom x3 already aswell. Everything else seemed fine.

Ask your questions here. Don't clutter up the dev thread.
If you have any questions, do the following:
Read the instructions in the AOKP OP.
Check the AOKP Frequently Asked Questions page in the wiki.
If you still have questions, ask below
Does the updater script automatically wipe data on top of the factory reset?
I don't want to wipe coming from CM9.
No it does not. I just came from build 02 with my data. I formatted system and cleared caches, and left all data in tact.
Fb there are some bugs with the density that are not present with CM9 whenever there is a fade out in a popup window the background shadow gets cut off. Also the launcher gets sized down and looks bad.the CM9 works perfectly in resizing to proper proportions. There is a Wifi bug that gets slow and back up at full speed. At boot up the signal of the phone doesn't pick up until after a minute or so, The modem works but it takes time to get the signal. There is actually a reboot issue, whenever the phone asks for reboot it just shuts down instead of rebooting. In the settings app some buttons don't work and force close the settings apk like device options. Other than that everything is fine just the known issues like camera ffc

Out of curiosity, if a new boot.img was built with the kernel changes (ringer) would it work with cm9?
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA
great to hear it, this ROM is much more responsive in I/O and sd card reads maybe because of the tweaks, another thing the launcher options in the settings app is not present can you make it available, because at higher lcd density there is the need for more grid space
just curious, in b40-2 i noticed Whitehawkx used his own kernel, am i correct that this one uses the same kernel as the new tested kernel for cm9?
coming from BML, after first restart into blue recovery. It says "SD card marker not found". It complete the installation but I am just curious what is SD card marker?

Yes it will work since this uses the team acid cm9/ics kernel. If you swap the kernel make sure you also grab everything under /system/lib/modules/ so your wifi won't break. Unfortunately a recent change in cm9 left Bryan, Max and I unable to build cm9 to give you guys the fix.

Did the rom install fine? That message pops up because we aren't using an "approved" extendedcommand script to do a one flash install from bml->mtd. If we were using a script that was signed by the rom manager team then that message wouldn't pop up. Don't worry everything happened as it should have.

A good dev will make the updater-script do it for you .
The /system partition gets unmounted before the rom install anyway, right before it gets formatted, so all your mounting is for nothing! Muahaha.

I would like to post this in the correct thread but I guess I have to have 10 or more posts to do so. I would just like to help the development of CM10 buy sharing my experience with the nightly builds. In build 10/05 seemed everything was running smooth. Build 10/07, and build 10/08, screen rotation back to portrait from landscape not working. It worked in nightly 5. For example, if watching YouTube video you turn to portrait to watch the video then pause the video, turn back to portrait and it stays on landscape. You have to hit the back button to get back. Just trying to give you a heads up. Love the rom though. It's my favorite.

Well I figured out the problem. I have been dirty flashing the nightly udates. Well I was thinking about it and thought to try and do a factory reset ,wipe cache wipe delvik and reinstall new update and that took care of my screen rotation issues. Running smooth again.

do you guys actually factory reset your phone prior to each nightly? I never do it and never have issues
Normal routine for me is to update my Titanium Backup backups and dirty flash, not even wipe cache or anything.
If I run into problems, then I go back and wipe the caches see if it fixes it, if not, factory wipe and re-flash and restore my TiBu backups...
99.9% time I don't run into any problems and only have to do the dirty flash.
It's very frowned upon though to dirty flash and post about bugs or problems you're having without doing a full wipe first.
I also do not wipe my phone for nightly updates. I have in the past, when trying to troubleshoot a problem, but I dont believe its actually fixed anything when I have. When I used the new CM updater, even that didnt wipe my phone. Might do yourself a favour to not mention dirty flash in the official thread, that term seems to set some people off on a tantrum.

Thanks for the work on this ROM . Its probably the most fun I've had with one, since you can easily mod the colors and stuff. Problem with calls after using a headset
First i want to say I love this rom, seems to me to be the most stable jb rom i've tried. The only problem I seem to have is when I listen to audio (music, audio books) on headphones and a call comes in. When i unplug the headphones to answer the call I can't hear the other end and they can't hear me. The only way to fix it is to reboot the phone. Is anyone else having this problem?

If I am not mistaken when you have headphones in and unplug them it turns sound off. you need to go to the dialer and hit the sound button. Or just answer the call with the headphones in. Let me know if that works for you

Here is the link to download the Rom http://en.miui.com/download-110.html
it will be slow as its from the chinese servers.
If you want gapps, download gapps for 4.2.2 from http://goo.im and flash it.
wipe date/factory and install zip in recovery im using philz recovery and have had no issues
For lite *#*#4636#*#* then phone information then select lte gsm cmda etc
if you wish to make a mirror then please get permision from the creator 郁闷得撞墙 Author number 3472249
This rom has been smoothed out alot over the last update and only small bugs are left to sort out.
Sms screen rotate doesnt work.
You have to flash a baseband to get wifi working
If theres any bug ive missed drop me a pm and i will add them
In my opion this is the closest to the real MIUI that we will get unless of course they support it.
thanks to dreamxp for first mentioning this release in bmarkos thread and thanks to the creator that made this port 郁闷得撞墙
I cant seem to install it. I wipe system and data and then proceed to install and it gets as far as the updating boot image and then auto reboots out of CWM and then it wont boot.
Any suggestions? I have downloaded the rom twice now just in case it was corrupt file but same issue both times.
thanks.
update:
ok fixed the problem changed cwm to philz and everything installed fine.

Just installed... tnx to Bmarko for doing a great job with the porting version but... this version is finally the best one I tried so far... I had just a reboot while importing sms and the "problems" already mentioned in the first post... but it's fast, clean, beautiful... the camera is fastest than the stock one (I have to do some more tests anyway), there are also some features from the original firmware, the multiwindow, air gesture, etc....
I love it!!

HI i cant take any credit for the find it was thanks to dreamxp on the MIUI port rom thread that found it i simply made this thread to keep the comments seperate as it was getting confusing
here is a link to the kernal to sort the wifi problem out http://www.miui.com/forum.php?mod=misc&action=attachcredit&aid=1532401&formhash=df509285
and yes the base is TW so all TW features are here although ive not had chance to play with it fully yet.
the only problem i have found other than the sms problem is the ringtone volume sounds too loud even when you reduce the volume it seems to go loud again.
Anyway to install this on a AT&T S4? Install in recovery kicks me out because it's a i337.

Sorry but i dont see any kernel in this link--
i tryed to flash also KT-SGS4-JB4.2-TW-INTL-11.14.2013.zip and Abyss-GT-I9505-1.6.1FSam.zip but the rom dont boot, stay on "Starting Apps"
How to fix it?
thanks
If everyone can keep posting up their issues with this ROM. I can go through it and see what I can clean up. I can also post up the files to my mediafile account. I just switched back to the TW ROM from miui, but now I guess I will have to jump back and have the best of both worlds. Time for some modding.

Approximate sensor is not working during a call and every conversation breaks after 30 seconds, then phone freezes for 15-20 secs. Tried 2 different modems and all 4 available kernels.
Call recording is not working for me.

Same issue here but by the looks of when you check for a rom update it says weekly so these bugs may be fixed soon?

Well yeah it seems to be a first release so we just have to wait a bit for the ROM to be stable
