Thanks for the work on this ROM . Its probably the most fun I've had with one, since you can easily mod the colors and stuff. Anyway the only problem I have is the WiFi signal and battery won't accept the color changes, but the clock will. Also the analog clock won't work, keeps throwing up a message saying it has stopped working. I know these are very minor but pro lens none the less. Thanks again.

colors and clock working fine here. Possible dirty flash. Try rebooting and clearing caches and reinstalling
Thank you for this ROM, love all of the customization options. Flashed it this morning, and haven't run into any problems at all. As mentioned in the previous post, the battery/signal aren't accepting color changes for me either, but its not big deal at all. Great job, thanks for your contribution!
BTW, will the lightning zap kernel work with this ROM?

Problem with calls after using a headset
First i want to say I love this rom, seems to me to be the most stable jb rom i've tried. The only problem I seem to have is when I listen to audio (music, audio books) on headphones and a call comes in. When i unplug the headphones to answer the call I can't hear the other end and they can't hear me. The only way to fix it is to reboot the phone. Is anyone else having this problem?

If I am not mistaken when you have headphones in and unplug them it turns sound off. you need to go to the dialer and hit the sound button. Or just answer the call with the headphones in. Let me know if that works for you
Experienced a SOD/reboot during a phone call today. 1st time I've experienced a problem while using this ROM. Had to hold the power button for 10 secs on lieu of a battery pull. Has this happened to anyone else?
Sent from my SGH-T769 using Tapatalk 2
This ROM works excellent for me. I might have the SOD maybe twice a day, but it's not bad considering I flashed CM9>CM10>AOKP without wiping data. I use this ROM as a daily driver with mods.

This is my daily driver to and I absolutely LOVE it. I was just wondering b/c up to this point probs whatsoever. Since there isn't a q&a for this ROM I had no way of knowing if it was an isolated thing with me. Definitely not a deal breaker tho

Alright, I noticed you guys haven't seen a nightly release in a while and since I made this for a friend of mine and even gave it to my brother, I figured everyone should have it too. This is basically Cyanogenmod 7.2. No, I will not build CM9 for your device, and I probably won't end up maintaining this release (I might, not sure.)
The Rules:
Don't report bugs, this is a nightly also I am sure bugs will be picked up already. Treat this as any CM nightly. Wipe before flashing (unless coming from a previous pure CM build and even then, wipe cache and dalvik.
Instructions:
Download > Wipe Data, system, dalvik, and cache. > flash > enjoy

not to gripe, just purely sharing my experience
the shift has problems making and recieving calls. No audio is the problem. A restart solves it, but it comes back at its leisure. Another problem is that the time doesnt stay synched with the network. I flashed using Clockwork and Twrp. I made sure to wipe x3, and i reDL'd the rom x3 already aswell. Everything else seemed fine.

i use cm7's off and on. the problem i have with them is i can't shut the alarm clock off whenever i use them. not a problem with other roms and i have used a bunch of them.
I'm on Sparksco cm7.2 stable 1.1 right now and I'm surprised it's not up as one of the most popular roms. This one is really nice! It's gonna be my daily until there's a solid and complete ics rom.

To those that flashed and it did not boot...did you do a double flash? Flash the normal way then boot bavk to recovery and flash again without wiping? Im downloading right now...i will flash and logcat it so if it doesnt boot up we will have some more info on what is keeping it from booting
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using XDA
EDIT after downloading i noticed the file read 2.5.11v2 -so maybe v.2 is released and thats what double flashing works wth...anyways just began flashing ill see how it goes
EDIT#2 double flashed and..........................IT BOOTED UP, make sure when you double flash that sytem is mounted otherwise i dont thin it will work (go to mounts and storage) it uses the kernel from CM9 so the first part of boot up it display cyanogenmod but it is working
EDIT#3...i dont think wifi is working, went to turn on wifi and it isnt turning on...but mobile data is working
They have posted another one that's working, flash the rom just like cm7, everything seems to be working other than wifi
Hey Jo, is wifi working on yours? How about usb cnnecting? Ither then those two problems its running nice on my infuse
Edit never mind just reread your post...
I have to say...I really love the lockscreen...its like cm9 except it has unlock to camera, messaging, phone, or just unlock...and he music lockscreen looks pretty good too...this might be my favorite lock screen of all time!

So here is what I found by trying to stop battery drain caused by the media storage+heating etc. I Of course can't guarantee this working for everybody but I tried this with 2-different JellyBean ROM's twice and it worked all 4 times on my device :victory:
This will have a few Reboots so bare with me. (because I believe reboots make a difference)
For all of you who have a JellyBean ROM already installed and have the battery drain skip to Step.8
1. Download your JellyBean ROM of choice
2. Place on SD card
3. MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP of your current ROM
4. Wipe data, cache and dalvik cache
5. Select ROM of choice from the SD card (Most ROM's these days come with an Aroma-Installer so remember what you picked to be installed and what not.)
6. Boot device
7. Set up the phone and let it restore all apps. Set everything you will use (facebook, e-mail, flipboard etc) -then ReBoot
8. I used TitaniumBackup and removed "Media Storage" and I also removed "Downloads 4.1.1"
9. ReBoot into Recovery & wipe cache and dalvik cache
10.Dirty-Flash your ROM of choice which you chose @ Step.5 and chose the same features if possible.
11.Install your prefered Kernel optional (I personally chose Ktoosez 3.0.49 just because it gave me good battery life)
12.Wipe cache and dalvik the last time and also fix permissions.
13.ReBoot the last time and enjoy!
Hope this was helpful and will work for most of you early JellyBean users. :fingers-crossed:

Are you all letting the media storage run for a few hours before trying this? Mine ran for like 2 hours on the charger with power save on, then it started deepsleep and has been fine sense.
The reason. I believe, it makes clips for all your videos that play in thumbnail view in the gallery, and indexes and thumbnail all your pictures. It's normal

When you installed CR 4.0 what items did you select? I think it may have to do with what apps are installed more then anything else.
Basically, install the bare minimum and see if you still have problems. Maybe it is something is getting installed in your process that is causing the problem.
I would leave off "adfree" for sure as well as anything else that effects media.
Launcher: only install one launcher(TW. If you want to add apex or Nova do it from the market after. I am using Nova but from the market.
Samsung Apps: left them all off.
You can always add on after you fix the issue.

JAN 09 2013 marked a landmark for MIUI and Xiaomi as there are now a record 10,000,000 users actively supporting and using MIUI ROM.
As part of the celebration Xiaomi have reached out to all the dedicated developers and international sites who support MIUI and Xiaomi to help them in a very simple and charitable way.
Simply visit http://love.miuiandroid.com/ and follow the link to download the MIUI Love theme.
What's the Charity part?
For each download of the MIUI Love theme, Xiaomi will donate 0.1 RMB to the Smile Angel Foundation. The foundation was setup to help children born with a cleft lip and pallat (CLP) from low-income families.
Please show your support by doing a very simple thing which will help touch the lives of hopefully thousands of children who desperately need these donations. No money is needed for this but MIUIAndroid.com will be donating some money towards this Charity as a gesture of kindness to our friends in China.

Damn that Flashable ZIP:silly: extract it copy framework-res to The MIUI ZIP File into /system/framework and flash it or
in CWM plug usb goto adb
Copy apk to same dir as adb if you have not added it to enviroment Variables
Code:
then adb push framework-res.apk /system/framework
then adb shell chmod 644 /system/framework/framework-res.apk
It's a lot faster than stock cm10 and no bugs so far. Very nice!
But there is one big thing missing it's maybe a poo in all miui Roms:
Just where can I chose different sound volumes for calls and sms? It's such a basic function but impossible to find :-\
And the Smileys in the stock SMS App are not working they are not shown.

I have been following the P920 stuff and I know internally I see a lot of p920 labeling inside my phone and I haven't had any issues with stock roms, however with this rom compared to cm10, at one point I had a working signal and wifi was iffy but it worked well now I'm not getting any signal, 21D baseband not my biggest concern atm. What i've noticed, on cm10 as well this rom they don't seem to be able to read and sync the data on my sim card with the phone, stuff like voicemail #s and network time, network time seems to want to i just have to change the time zone. Any ideas of how to fix this sort of thing? I didn't notice the network sync issue when i used MIUI from CM7. I love the look and feel of MIUI though.

I think the ROM still causes freezing phone in some situations, but generally it's smoother an better than stock cm10. Totally love it

Try this for notification volume if you really need it https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=it.qbit.audiomixer&hl=en
And i don't get what you mean they don't work
Really amazing work , thank you.
Using it with iodak's cm10 kernel 1.0 and it's really smooth.
Bug report ;
Touchscreen sometimes doesn't register some touches.
Occasional hanging (Freezes for 3-5 seconds then returns to normal.) (I noticed this mostly with keyboard and rarely other apps as well.)
Keyboard backlight is off by default.(Which didn't bother me , I turn it off anyway)
Memory is crowded and without compression , it usually bottlenecks. (We need a little optimization on that part)
Thank you for all the hard work.

Actually in CM I didn't have those bugs.
Already using KSM and Zram but still RAM is a little overcrowded.
In home screen scrolling between pages usually traps me into opening an app (A problem I didn't have in CM)
Please don't misunderstand I'm not trying to be an ass , merely trying to help in my own humble way...
Cheers!!!

Sorry can't quote in tapatalk it gives an error.
First I want to thank you very much for your personal support here
Unfortunately it's not that easy. An app can't set the ringtone and notification volume different unless you set that possibility in the android settings. In every ROM and cm10 there is that option in the android settings but not in miui. Well it's not the most important thing in the world so I unterstand if you leave it be.
The emojis are invisible but I can send them. Of course I can't see which one I send but I can see them on the receiver's device. I add an screenshot were you can see the invisible emojis. Don't you all encounter the same problem??
Thanks

Reporting my problems.
No notification sounds ¿¿?? Ring from phone yes, programs (k7Mail, wassap,...) no. Testing why.
Randomly no data. May be when change the cell, or low signal. Testing now.
Very good for me. Continue testing. Thanks for all.
Hi all, here is MIUI offical port from the MIUI forum. i am not the creator just the informer!
TW based rom 4.2.2
The stock kernel works fine but you must flash a baseband to get WIFI working (via ODIN)
Updates working via OTA (weekly on a friday)
Here is the link to download the Rom http://en.miui.com/download-110.html
it will be slow as its from the chinese servers.
If you want gapps, download gapps for 4.2.2 from http://goo.im and flash it.
wipe date/factory and install zip in recovery im using philz recovery and have had no issues
For lite *#*#4636#*#* then phone information then select lte gsm cmda etc
if you wish to make a mirror then please get permision from the creator 郁闷得撞墙 Author number 3472249
This rom has been smoothed out alot over the last update and only small bugs are left to sort out.
Sms screen rotate doesnt work.
You have to flash a baseband to get wifi working
If theres any bug ive missed drop me a pm and i will add them
In my opion this is the closest to the real MIUI that we will get unless of course they support it.
thanks to dreamxp for first mentioning this release in bmarkos thread and thanks to the creator that made this port 郁闷得撞墙
I cant seem to install it. I wipe system and data and then proceed to install and it gets as far as the updating boot image and then auto reboots out of CWM and then it wont boot.
Any suggestions? I have downloaded the rom twice now just in case it was corrupt file but same issue both times.
thanks.
update:
ok fixed the problem changed cwm to philz and everything installed fine.

Just installed... tnx to Bmarko for doing a great job with the porting version but... this version is finally the best one I tried so far... I had just a reboot while importing sms and the "problems" already mentioned in the first post... but it's fast, clean, beautiful... the camera is fastest than the stock one (I have to do some more tests anyway), there are also some features from the original firmware, the multiwindow, air gesture, etc....
I love it!!

HI i cant take any credit for the find it was thanks to dreamxp on the MIUI port rom thread that found it i simply made this thread to keep the comments seperate as it was getting confusing
here is a link to the kernal to sort the wifi problem out http://www.miui.com/forum.php?mod=misc&action=attachcredit&aid=1532401&formhash=df509285
and yes the base is TW so all TW features are here although ive not had chance to play with it fully yet.
the only problem i have found other than the sms problem is the ringtone volume sounds too loud even when you reduce the volume it seems to go loud again.
Anyway to install this on a AT&T S4? Install in recovery kicks me out because it's a i337.

Sorry but i dont see any kernel in this link--
i tryed to flash also KT-SGS4-JB4.2-TW-INTL-11.14.2013.zip and Abyss-GT-I9505-1.6.1FSam.zip but the rom dont boot, stay on "Starting Apps"
How to fix it?
thanks
If everyone can keep posting up their issues with this ROM. I can go through it and see what I can clean up. I can also post up the files to my mediafile account. I just switched back to the TW ROM from miui, but now I guess I will have to jump back and have the best of both worlds. Time for some modding.

Approximate sensor is not working during a call and every conversation breaks after 30 seconds, then phone freezes for 15-20 secs. Tried 2 different modems and all 4 available kernels.
Call recording is not working for me.

Same issue here but by the looks of when you check for a rom update it says weekly so these bugs may be fixed soon?

Well yeah it seems to be a first release so we just have to wait a bit for the ROM to be stable
