Sure. Mine has wifi on 24/7 with corp account (push), gmail (push), music every now and then (poweramp) + browsing. Never under 60% under 12 hours.
But, I don't play games.
How to get these "big" batteries for the phone ?

Hmm.. fortune, this is the problem) Thanks for the info.. maybe I'll buy it, at the moment I'm testing a new ROM that should have a better battery drain.. I need at least 1.5-2days with WiFi/3G and screen at 30-40%, not so much, maybe an "unlucky" 3000mAh should be good too.. which ROM/Setting do you use for better battery performance (OT? Should I open new thread??).
were did you get the 3500 battary from and for what price?
beacuse i see the ebay ones for 7 dollers is it worth it?

i think battery life is awesome on this phone, Ive never had such good battery life with any other smartphone..
I dont think it needs extended battery.
I think HTC actually tried to eliminate battery drain before making a non removable battery.
I second that, getting great battery usage.

There will always be people who want an extended battery, but its really not needed unless you are using your phone to make 50 pho.e calls in a day or you play 3 hours of games. most people will be more than happy with the battery life provided by the One S.

no need for a Extended Battery here, where would the battery go if there was one
If you are in bad cell coverage (which eats more juice) or are a heavy user, pray god invest a few bucks into a Gumpack external battery. That thing is half the size if a pack of cigs and stores enough juice for 2-3 full recharges on the go. Its one little more gadget to toss into your daypack and remember to keep charged but its well worth the bother. Certainly easier than speculating about a bigger battery while batt life is fine for most users.
And I am not bashing, if you have a 1.5h commute to work and spend it playing GTA3 i can see where the juice goes. So a gumpack battery would be your best approach, with the current 28nm Krait architecture there is not a lot to gain batterywise really. Plus, the AMOLED sucks less juice on dark images, something to keep in mind when picking a background image I think.

i will be testing it over few days .. and will report how the lasting has been
August 24
Have charged my battery as per instructions continuously for 8 hours... After that went into my flight with 96 percent battery.. Listened to music through out the duration of my flight about 2.5 hours
And my battery dropped to 88 percent
Doing my second charge cycle as I write this
Ok so the battery actualy does what it says.... Now my device lasts all day long still with 20 percent at the end
Cool. I got one about a month ago and am happy with it. Remember to follow the initial charging instructions. Also here is a link to a good article about getting the most out of your battery.

That's a pretty difficult one to answer!
I'd say it depends on the screen brightness and what you're using the phone for:
If you're outside a lot, and you have auto brightness, that'll mean the brightness is 100%. I use a small app called Lux, which is - I think - the only one that allows you to map your own brightness curve, and then decide the refresh frequency. Works very well for me, since I need less brightness indoors.
Processor load while reading emails/browsing is much lower than if the same screen-on time is for gaming for example.
I have also lowered the processor frequency when sleeping, so I guess that will increase the relative weight of the screen-on consumption.
I mainly browse and do emails: currently of 210 minutes on battery, the screen has been on 85 minutes and 38% of the battery has been consumed.
The use details section of the System/Battery summary says that the screen has been responsible for 64% of the battery drain.
I must also add that I'm using a custom ICS ROM, and there have been comments that the battery statistics are not 100% trustworthy, so take these figures as orientative.
Also, I have had the battery for 18 months, and Battery Monitor Widget calculates 1200mAh capacity. Again with the ICS ROM I have my doubts about this figure, I will eventually run a few charge cycles on the stock battery - which has broadly the same age - to see what degradation is reported there. Comparing the 2 will give a reasonable idea about how capacity for each one degrades over time.

How well does it perform compared to the Anker one? The most I've gotten out of my Anker so far is three and a half day, but that is without using it a lot. I find that it mostly depends on the ROM you're using tho, and due to that I prefer the sensless ROMs, because they seem to run a lot lighter than their Sense counterparts. But hey, that's my observation.

Skipjacks said:
Okay I want to put this business about bad battery life and battery bugs and all that jazz to bed.
Look at my battery graph. I rest my case.
Any battery problems are not with the ROM. It's clearly capable of having disgustingly good battery life.
That's 4 DAYS since unplugging with 8% battery life left as of right now.
That includes 2 hours and 40 minutes of screen on time
45 minutes of phone talk time
This is on the April 26th build. And this is the FIRST charge since flashing that build. So the battery use probably isn't even maximized yet.
My settings are OnDemand 192 - 1242
Anker battery
Auto Brightness is off and I use the notification bar swipe to adjust brightness as needed
Alterations made to the Google Services Framework to eliminate Google Wakelocks (this has nothing to do with Albino's code, hence it's not the ROM) Click here for more details
Greenify to keep other wakelocky apps on a short leash. (I'm looking at you T Mobile's My Account app. You're so useful but you think you own the place!)
Haptic feedback is off for everything. The only thing that's allowed to use the vibration function is the ringer (I don't use a ringtone, vibrate only) and reminder notifications. If you have haptic feedback on for every press on the screen and keyboard you are basically giving up battery power to run a small electric motor. That's not an efficient use of limited battery life.
Full disclosure. I don't keep mobile data on all the time. I turn it on as needed. And I've been very busy doing other stuff the past 4 days so there hasn't been a ton of use time. Obviously if I had been using it more it wouldn't have lasted 4 days. But if the ROM can idle for 4 days and not drain itself dry, then battery problems aren't in the ROM. They are with apps, settings, or user error. Albino's ROM can be configured to run for what may as well be for freakin' ever on a single charge. I'm half expecting him to add "sustainable cold nuclear fusion" to the changelog of the next build.
So if you've got battery issues, go buy an Anker before you do anything else. Even if you have other problem that will make everything better. And stop talking about battery issues in this thread. Come to the FAQ thread (see link in my signature) and ask questions about how to improve battery life there. We'll take all battery questions there with a smile and be glad to help you, where in this thread battery questions will be met with verbal beratement for clogging up the thread with whining.

Depending on the ROM I'm running I've seen battery life between 24 and 36 hours with the stock battery.
I bought a 3750 mAh no-name battery pack for $10 (plus shipping, lol) on ebay and constantly get over a days worth with moderate use (over 1h screen-on time quite often) Be aware that this battery was considerably larger than the stock one, but did come with a plastic cover that snaps in place of the stock one.
mine lasts about 1.5 days, with a new aftermarket battery
What firmware are you using? I noticed drastic increases going from GB to ICS and JB.
Have you turned off your data? Are you running stock? As mentioned above, power management is much better with ics and jb.
When I got my captivate, data could kill the battery in a about 6 or 7 hours without turning on the screen.

Have gotten between 15-18 hours on my battery from new till now (2years old)
With the exception of a few roms (mostly early stages) its been pretty consistent and based more on wifi/mobile data than anything else
My advice is to buy a new battery. Even if it's the same capacity as the old one, it will have less cycles on it, and batteries don't last forever. Also, I would stay away from these cheap ebay batteries. More than likely they are either recycled or they're subpar sells that have been relabeled and sold. Either way, they're not close to the mAh reading they're advertising.
I bought the 1800mAh battery that fits in the Epic 4G and I get more than a day with my usage. Just have to turn off google maps location report, as that will kill your battery in a few hours. Google now still works without it enabled.
actually, if you buy from a reputable seller, my experience with batteries on EBay is very good. I got a 1600 maH battery with 3 year warranty for $4. I've been using it for 8 months, no problems, good life.

Will it be an issue during charge ??
CBS, using a bigger battery than stock is fine. I've used 7-8 and4oid phones with extended batteries and have never had an issue. they will however take longer to charge due to the increased size.
I used to use a zerolemon 7500 mah battery in my galaxy s3. It was great. Took twice the time to charge but well worth it. Only plug it in to charge at night.

No problem. Sounds like a 7500 mah battery sounds like it will suit your needs. Internet, gaming, streaming movies and music will take it's toll on even the best batteries. A 7500 mah battery will last me all day with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and gps all day for work. The average user will get 1-3 days depending on use. With the right rom and kernel can do wonders.

I've had them since the phone came out on verizon. Got the phone on launch day and had the batteries a few days later. Here's a link for you.

^^^^^ The charger it comes with is also supposedly the fastest charger to charge these batteries.

Do you guys know any good ones?
*I am looking for something with more than 2600maH that is also the same size as the stock battery. I dont want a battery that ends up making a bulge in the back of my phone, or end up getting a super fat battery and needing a large back cover*
Currently looking at this, looks pretty decent:

Zero Lemon is the best battery higher than the stock one with the same size.

Zl offers a 3000 may but it does not have nfc. They have a 2650 mah battery that has NFC but that is basically stock. They also have a 7500 mah battery with NFC. I'd rather have their 7500 w/wireless charging instead of NFC.
I need just battery. Nfc i dont use but if i need it i have this original battery. Just switch them and i have nfc.

I never use NFC, so 3000maH is great. Im gonna buy it soon
Glad I could help. I haven't used the NFC on my s3 or my s4. I tried playing with it but it's not a need. You guys will be happy to know if you buy a wireless charging receiver it will fit under the stock battery cover as well with the zl 3000 mah battery. I love wireless charging. No more laying in bed and reaching around on the floor in the dark trying to find the cord for my phone.
