[Question]How do I unroot (any links?) - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Hi guys, I have the galaxy s 3 for Verizon I just restored it using DroidStyle's method. I am wondering how I can un-root it I just wondering what tutorial to use any links that are confirmed working would be great. I need to un-root because I am bringing my GS3 back to Verizon today to have my sim card replaced and possible have the phone replaced.
Thanks for any help you guys provide in advance.

Checked section 6 of DroidStyle's guide in the Development Section. It has working links and everything else you need.

Here is a link on how to put your device back to stock/bloated ICS 4.0.4 Scroll down to section 6 on how to flash back to stock using Odin.. and it also has a bunch of different custom Roms available for the SGS3.. hope this helps.:fingers-crossed:

flash a stock image (different depending on ur carrier) through odin and it'll look like you were never rooted

[Q] Updating and rooting new N8013

A spiffy new N8013 arrives tomorrow and I'm seeing conflicting posts as to how to get it ready to root and mod.
It looks like Framaroot is the latest root method. Is this the preferred method? Do I need to update first? Which recovery tar do I need?
I have a Note 2 that is unlocked, rooted, and rom'd to perfection and I'm ready to do the same to the Note 10.1 n8013. Any directions would be greatly appreciated.
I think it will depend on what version your N8013 comes in.. What I did was use the exynos exploit root apk (literally one click after you download it) and then later on, I updated using chainfire's Mobile Odin. What I updated with.. I don't exactly remember, but it's in one of the threads here. With Mobile Odin, you can definitely keep root and update, but again, it will depend on what version your N8013 comes in! Good luck! Rooting is excellent for this tablet because you enable multiwindow for all apks!
Are there a few versions and exploits? That must be why I'm seeing different alternatives. It should be here tomorrow and I'm getting excited to do this...
I used Chainfires cf-root method described in the original development section of this forum. It was easy and foolproof!

[Q] Root for Skyrocket with Jelly Bean and Mac

Hello,
This is my very first post so sorry if this is creating a new thread that shouldn't exist. I have a Macbook Pro and I recently got the official Jelly Bean from Rogers (it's like AT&T in Canada) for my Galaxy S II LTE. I want to root my phone but would also like to have the option to unroot it in case I need to turn my phone in for the warranty.
Can someone give me a simple (n00b) step-by-step explanation on how to root my phone?
Thanks
Questions belong in q&a just for future notice and always read read the stickies and use search to avoid being flamed

like hechoen says in the other thread, use Heimdall, or borrow a pc, just takes a few minutes.
im uploading a flashable deodexed rooted w/mohans kernelk, will be done soon.
to return to stock ics via cwm/twrp(no odin needed) read my howto restore to stock guide, good for warranty repair when having a dead usb port, driver issues and for mac users
Best way to root with Mac is throwing it off a bridge then get a pc.

Is there a simple one click wham bam root method? I'm using a verizon network. I kmow everyone knows how to do it I'm a noob with this phone so please be nice thanks a lot in advance-

This is the only way to root 4.1.2 as of now
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2046439
No easy method so far seeing as no one has yet dumped a stock 4.1.2 image for the devs to work with (prob since devs aren't buying a new s3 this late in the game anymore)
Thanks guys

Well it depends, compared to getting root on the droid x, HTC incredible, and the bionic, root on the gs3 is cake walk regardless of the method you use. Just be glad you don't have to make a Linux live CD.
Brand New S3
I'm in the same boat and and just got a new S3. I tried using the guide someone else posted and bricked my phone, luckily I was able to get it replaced. I was very meticulous and read the guide over and watched some videos before trying it myself. Maybe I screwed up somewhere but I'm afraid to try it again. I did find this thread with a method that seems pretty simple [HOWTO] [ROOT] [ODIN] No Tripping Flash Counter - Root + [TWRP] - Updated 03.14.2013 but I haven't posted on XDA enough to be able to clarify some of my questions on the forum. To me it sounds like I should just be able to use any of the images on that page, then use EZ-Unlocker and EZ-Recovery to unlock the bootloader then install CWM.
I don't want to hijack your thread but I thought you might be interested in this method. Assuming it is as simple as it sounds. Maybe someone can give us some insight?

[Q] Checking everything is okay for rooting

Hi, i'm helping a friend root his skyrocket. Its running 4.0.4 and all stock. He wants to run cm10 on it. I found this for Team win recovery for the skyrocket. If i flash that through odin, and then flash cm10 will i be good to go, also cm10 comes rooted? I have a verizon galaxy s3, and had a droid x, both rooted and rom-ed so i have some knowledge of rooting. Thanks for your help guys, xda never let me down
Also, in that link should i flash through odin the openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.0-skyrocket.tar, or the .img? I believe they are alike, but i think odin only uses .tar.

looking for stock official samsung rom

Hey guys I know that this question has been asked many times and i know that there are many tutorial that show you how to return your verizon galaxy s3 back to stock rom.
My verizon S3 is running 4.3 and it has the locked bootloader but i want to be able to flash the kitkat update using Odin however every tutorial i look at and every link i follow is not working when i try and download the stock firmware.
Can someone here help point me into the right direction and possibly provide me with a link to the official samsung (verizon) firmware for model SCH-i535. If you can provide a good tutorial that would be great as well!
Thank you so much for your assistance and time...

Have you tried just taking the OTA update? As long as your not rooted and didn't make any changes internally you should be able to take the OTA
Sent from my Nexus 5
tried..
ya i have tried taking the OTA update the problem is the phone used to be rooted and so i am going to have to do this update with Odin and take everything back to original stock.

Alright. Here's the thread, be advised the bootloader will be even more locked down. With TW 4.3 there is more options for roms. With the 4.4 update your stuck with 3 options
