Hello, I have used the application in this ROM MIUI. The error says: "little space in the internal memory and external." Help me. Thank you.

Go into recovery, back up ur current, do a full wipe, restore ur previous back up.
*Note that if u are htcdev unlock, u have to flash ur kernel (boot.img) separately.
Or just do a clean flash MIUI 4 v2.8.17, then restore ur backup from recovery.
*either way back up ur current rom

[Q] Installing Rom/data question

Hello I know that after installing a ROM all your data is gone and all the good stuff. I would like to know that if a rom gets rid of some system files and deletes some other stuff, would a nandroid backup of ur phone bring all those files back without any problem?
Yes, a nandroid backup is a complete system image.

I don't know obout Droidness, but with WinMo 6.5.x, If you want to extract some files from the backup made from a certian ROM, then you must re-flash that ROM that the backup was made from.
Or it might not work.
And I'm not sure if a downgrade is a good idea... (with Droid)
I don't know if there is an "App For That" like SKTools, but the backups that I create can be extracted either on the device or on the PC. (WindowsXP PRO).
Hope this helps..
EDIT:
That sounds much simplier. Thanks DirkGently1.
Wow thx that helps alot. If nandroid doesnt work, ill keep the flashing rom before backup in mind thx!

Wait... Can you restore the individual components of a nandroid backup? Or is that a higher level of hacking?

yes it is possible i think so but it will not be much successful to make a flasheble ip of apks..
btw in a rom in system there are all req apks of phone that can be combined together.. but still there is a risk of briking your device so better not to flash your homemade zip.. ..
press thanks if it helped..
titanium backup pro now have that option

press thanks on getting helped :good:
But how many apps u can flash???...our phone has hardly 200 mb internal menory in system/app...and except official cm7 all the roms occupy 160-170 mbs of space by default...and if it reaches to 190 phone starts lagging like hell and starts giving memory full warnings...so installing them is the better way or buy a S3

You don't need recovery for link2sd. But for other things like flashing roms you will need recovery. Twrp is nice option.

ok downloading jaggy 4.0
u can also partition sd card using cwm
to use link2sd
as i do in my case :
go to cwm recovery
go to advanced in cwm
partition sd card choose required partition (i recommend 1/4th of your sd total )
takes time ( bigger the partition more time)
select swap = 0
choose ext type as .ext2
download link2d it will automatically detect the second partition
ur good to go
also dont uninstall system apps it may make ur rom and other system apps unstable (i tried it using titanium backup pro)
hit thanks if helped i need it

Problem in CWM recovery

Hi,I installed stock rom through odin(S5670XWKQ2) and then I installed the CWM recovery. After few days I wanted to backup the stock rom,so I go to recovery,backup/restore and backup, and when it need to backup the systrm it tell me that ''error in mounting /system'' and exit the backup,I tried to mount system before backup but ''can't mount /system''.The strange thing is that in SD/clockworkmod is a backed up file but when I tap it for restore it tell me ''MD5 sum error''.
Anyone faced this problem?
PS:the phone wasn't rooted(but I don't think this is the problem)

CWM can't backup stock i.e. rfs roms. However, there might b some modified CWMs capable for this.

Here's the link to pratyush explaining, how to take backup of rfs based stock rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1374033
But it's easier to use Cwm recovery for backup & restore if u are on a custom ROM with ext4 partition
Tanks guys, but I found Andro-id 3.3.1 is just like stock, only more costumized and some new features. Thanks again.

use cwm backup..... to take backup.... then restore with advance restore > data ...... it will work 100% with all apps with its data......
For rom backup-use cmw backup
For contacts-use phone deflaut backup i.e. export to sd card
For msgs and apps-use titanium backup pro.
For images and other data- just copy paste your data in ur pc.
For gaming scores and apps stats-cut ur folder of android data and paste it later on(it may nt prove tp bw useful in all cases.)
