Thanks,
you can use things like apps2sd or link2sd to move apps to your sdcard, alternatively, most roms seem to come with a crap load of launchers and music apps etc. delete the ones you dont use/want using root explorer. (they are in system/app folder) that should free up some memory too.

1- Search it on Google
2- I upgraded mine SG3 to 2.3 and all features still work
3-Just flash the stock Rom. You can find it in SG3 Android Development

I suggest Link2SD, it's very easy to use, you can choose wich app link and wich not, it's a graphical app and doesn't make the phone slow conversely to App2SD. Now i have like 30 apps and my internal storage is still 183 MB
Solved
Got Solved with Link 2 Sd . . . .
Thanks,

Hi people! I'm sorry if this has been discussed before, I searched but couldn't find the topic about that. If there is one, please direct me there. Thanks!
So, my friend has a ChaCha, and she gets the low memory msg all the time. She can't install anything, only having ~80MB of space taken (when calculated) although the phone says that more than 130MB is taken. She can't open Gtalk or Gmail - the phone is slower than imaginable! We wiped the cash from the Apps Settings, checked and everything possible is on the SD card, but still... The phone is not rooted nor anything.
Thanks in advance!
Link2sd app
Be carrefull !!
But the phone itself offers the option of installing a part of the app on sdcard - why then the link2sd? Can it be that the phone alone isn't doing the job properly?

Link2sd is one option. When you use native a2sd (built in) it doesn't move everything on sd, just part of application. The best way is too flash one of many custom roms that have ability to install scripts that will move all apps to ext partition. CM mods support those scripts (IMO the best one to use is CronMod Script - D2EXT and INT2EXT (+)), there are also many stock based custom roms that has dta2sd preinstalled.
Of course you need to be rooted and you need to partition your sd-card in order to do that.
Regards
didije, can you please tell me how to root your phone and install this partition thingy onto the SD CARD without losing the stock rom? I like sense widgets and the stock rom very much!

After you unlock the bootloader flash recovery and to root it install this zip though recovery.
On a stock rom (stock kernel) you can only use apps such as link2sd. And there are many threads on partitioning sd-card, just google it. The easiest way is to partition from advanced menu in clockwork recovery but I am not sure if partitioning through clockworkmod recovery works with link2sd.

Also for me Link2SD is the best solution, I've a rooted phone with stock rom, I followed the guide and I choose to put 1 GB in the second partition for APP. Now after 1 year I've more than 500 addition MB of apps!

I am a big fan of cronmod's scripts. You can put the script in the init.d folder of the rom's .zip before you flash it, or you can flash one of cronmod's .zips immediately after flashing a ROM (before first boot).
I like them because they are fully automatic. You can install tons of apps, and they get put on your sd-ext without having to link them, or do anything to them. I used link2sd for a long time before I found cronmod's scripts. After a while I still ended up running out of space, and I would have to go back into link2sd to figure out what ELSI I could link.
With cronmod's scripts your internal folders ( like /data or /data/app depending on the script) get automatically mounted to to sd-ext. This effectively adds to your internal storage. I see it as more of a fix, while link2sd is more like a band-aid.

Hi, thankyou for the tips, yes link2sd will not give you infinite space, once you start to have a lot of apps, them continue to write some data (cache, etc.) on your internal memory and this will lead you to fill your internal memory. So in my opinion with a non rooted phone, simple move app to sd is like a band-aid while link2sd on rooted phone is like a powerfull band-aid.
About the script, it will move ALL and let you to install infinite apps? I've readed that these kind of script give you also some stability problem on some apps and also decrease speed of the phone while for now, with link2sd i've no problem at all, I moved also gapps.

Im using cronmod (int2ext+) and I haven't experienced any problems, I guess (haven't tested) they just released a script that will work with 4.2.1 The only app that ive seen with noticeable lag was titanium backup, but other than that its been great
Ive also used link2sd and that works extremely well also.

Obviously, not infinite, but on my ov I have about 180 mb for my data partition. Using the d2ext script with a 2 gb sd-ext partition means that I increase that by literally over 1000%. I have absolutely no stability problems with the scripts. Sometimes a particular rom won't boot with a particular script, but I've always been able to find at least one script that will play nice with any rom I've used.
I really liked link2sd when I started using it, but eventually running out of space again, and constantly having to link apps got old. The script will move ALL of your apps without you having to tell it what to do, and your apps will still "think" they are installed on the phone, so widgets will work fine.
thanks!!!!!
Thanks guys!!!
I m now using int2ext+ by cronmod ....works perfect!!!!
very stable and smooth...:good:

Hi,
First of all, thank you a lot for all the development effort that has been put in to bring the AOKP ROM up to this fantastic standard. I have been using the ICS AOKP for quite a while, and just switched over to the JB ROM. It feels a lot faster and smoother, thank you!
I have got a question on Link2SD after flashing this ROM. Apologies beforehand, if this is not the forum to post that. I had used Link2SD while on ICS to move most of the apps to the SD card. Now after flashing JB, Link2SD does not re-mount the SD card secondary partition. I selected all the options mentioned (ext2/3/4/FAT) but it fails to mount with any of those options. So I'm not able to re-link any of my apps. Does anyone know how to fix this and get my apps back?
I also tried the following as per suggestions in some of the threads: 1) mounting it in recovery: not working; gives the message error mounting sd-ext (2) deleting some of the apps like Downloads and Email: still not working even after deleting those two apps.
Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
I never had any problem with link2sd and ANY rom. Im on CM 10.1
Till ICS it was easy to directly download and flash roms and Gapps.
But JB roms need trimming.
What i do is.. after a clean wipe I flash any JB rom. Then remove unwanted apps.. Instal Link2sd..
change few minor system apps to user apps (not recommended, if you dont know.. what you are doing).
After linking these apps.. I always have enough mem for Gapps.
In Gapps also you have few apps which you can convert to user app and then link it.

My issue is now fixed, but in a hard way. Formatted the secondary SD card partition, and then Link2SD automatically recognized it. All the apps are gone, but at least I got the secondary partition active. Spent another half-hour downloading all the needed apps again from the Play store.
Link2Sd not working for me on CM10.1 Rom
I am using TouchWiz JB V2 Rom
I have tried ti install int2Ext+ (CronMod Fixed version fro 4.2.2) Still no luck
Also installed Link2Sd but it gave

I partiotned my sdcard using recovery (CWM 5.0.2.6) (it created Ext3)
Then (Delected the sdext partition using "Mini Partition Tool Wizard" then created new partition for Ext4)
But still no luck Nothing seems to work

The standard and not-really-necessary idea of doing a factory-reset wipe when flashing is the problem here. I also had that zong my sdext making it read-only and nothing, nothing except re-partitioning the sdcard helped.

Hi, you can do one of these things, by adb shell run e2fsck -fpDC0 /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 to your second partition or using gparted run a full check of second partition of your SD card in a computer card reader, after that will work. I have the same problem, but in my case i have to do this procedure EVERY DAY because at next start the read only problem starts over... ANY BETTER SOLUTION APRECIATED !!!
After factory reset, I had a read-only ext4 partition. Had to start over.
Common cause of link2sd not creating its mount scripts is too little room on /system. Try adb shell df | grep system. Need a few meg. If this be the problem, need to trim the ROM.
Can,t understand ... How to Do it In Micromax A27...in custom Rom
tell me how to do it in Micromax A27 in custom Rom Dreamboltxv2
A lot of separate issues here and in various threads:
1. Sd-ext read only after factory reset. I never do that. Had that very thing happen. Save all data from partitions to computer, repartition and copy it back.
2. Not enough room on system to process/form mount script. JB and onward, ROMs need trimming. > 3meg needed, 9meg should be plenty.
3. No room on data. Link2sd can still work and fix that. If sdext can be mounted, that is ... and a launcher can live long enough to get to lin2sd and start it!
4. Other errors creating the mount script. I am now getting "device busy ... maybe ext4 not supported ... try vfat ... etc." Ext4 is supported. I have a copy of the script which I can place myself.
5. Data integrity problems in Kitkat based ROMs. Repeated recreation of dexes on data, using it up (Link2sd's Achilles heel). Sometimes, recreating that script can stop this. If one can get it re-created. Issues 3, 4. Link2sd can get the space back, problem is keeping it.
I have raised the issues with Link2sd authors.
Hi;
i am a noob in the android world and i need a help
i have a sammsung SGH-I857 with 2.2.2 android version & 2.6.332.9-perf karnel version which is rooted
I want to release the maximum possible space of internal phone memoir because it small (177MO ONLY) 89.30 MB of space it used.
I would move them to the SD card (8GB) or remove them if it's possible ,but I do not know how knowing that my phone has never been changed at the ROM or Kernel or Recovery or anything like that
I also read that before anything i should use a custom recovery and make a backup of my current set up, so in case something gets messed up, i can restore the backup and be as good as new!,then install a ROM that can do what I want if it's possible
the problem is that I can not find how I did lots of research, but I have not found those for SGH-I857

First, you need to install Mount2SD or Link2SD, it will link (replace) your apps to SDcard. You can find it Mount2SD here and then you need to partitioning your SDcard first, just follow this instruction and you also get Link2Sd from here. I guess these apps don't need custom ROM or kernel to work. But custom recovery, like CWM or TWRP is necessary needed to do full backup (Nandroid Backup) of your current stock ROM.
Well, for custom recovery you can try ROM Manager (It's free app on Play Store), it will help you to install CWM Recovery. Or you can try TWRP Manager (it's also free app on Play Store) to play with custom recovery by TWRP.
Good Luck.
DO WITH YOUR OWN RISK.

There is no current custom recovery solution for the Samsung DoubleTime (SGH-I857).
I am however trying to make this exist as well as a whole other ROM option that may allow Gingerbread to be ran on the device. So far the base of operations has been the thread in which Dardour has posted a link to above. That however seems to be broken. So here it is again: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2580216
Well best of a good day to you.
