Thanks,
you can use things like apps2sd or link2sd to move apps to your sdcard, alternatively, most roms seem to come with a crap load of launchers and music apps etc. delete the ones you dont use/want using root explorer. (they are in system/app folder) that should free up some memory too.

I use App2SD and Delete App and After that My Phone Space is about to Full .. .. ..
Now what to Do? So I am in search for SD Card to use as Internal Space.
Thanks For Suggestion .. .. .. ..
On 2.2 Froyo a big part of app that you moved to sd stays on internal memory...I suggest upgrading to 2.3 or partitioning your sd card.I'm on Hercolubus rom 90 apps installed 70 Mb internal memory left...

Please Give me Link for Stable Rom or Suggest me Rom which Runs all function of Galaxy 3, I also consider to upgrade my Galaxy 3 to Android 2.3.....
(3) If I upgrade My phone, and Official 2.3 comes (I know chances are less ) How to Roll back to stock rom?

1- Search it on Google
2- I upgraded mine SG3 to 2.3 and all features still work
3-Just flash the stock Rom. You can find it in SG3 Android Development

I suggest Link2SD, it's very easy to use, you can choose wich app link and wich not, it's a graphical app and doesn't make the phone slow conversely to App2SD. Now i have like 30 apps and my internal storage is still 183 MB
Solved
Got Solved with Link 2 Sd . . . .
Thanks,
Created Ext2 Partition with Ubuntu and Used Space. . . .

The Infuse's internal is partitioned in 2. The first half is seen as full on internal, the second half is considered to be an sd card, an internal sd card. And no, there is no way to format it.

what do you mean format? i mean you can format it by factory resettign the phone through settings but that formats the data partition as well and loses all your data. you may be able to format it in windows but none of this will change the size of anything. you cant change the partition tables, well technically you can but don't you will brick your phone! and sinse 2gb is on a different device all together you cant change that at all either.
you seem a bit confused on how this all works. the 1.77 or 2 gb is phone storage, it is used for apps, contacts, message storage, phone related stuff. the 13.1 or 14 is sd storage built into the phone, the aditional 2 is external sd storage (it's under the sim card, remove the battery to get to it. you can expand it up to 32 +the 14 built into the phone). the numbers below advertiesed are just different ways of measuring gigabytes. the definition of giga is 1billion but in conputing they use powers of 2 tradidionally so killo isn't 1000 it's 1024 mega isn't 1million its 1,048,576. mega and kilo pretty much aloways are interperated that way in computing. giga/tera however sometimes use there literal meanings 1billion/1trillion and sometimes mean 1000/1,000,000 megabytes and might also mean 1024/1,048,576 megabytes which would be 1,073,741,824-bytes for gigabytes, if you look at packaging of new hard drives there is often a disclaimer on the method they are using to advertise the capacity. i dont remember which way windows reads gbs but this is one reason hard drives never report the same space as advertised and why you see 13.1 instead of 14 and part of why you see 1.77 (some of it is used for the /system and other partitions) instead of 2.
And that's why you are one of the best there is DANi...I learn from listening to your thorough answers and explanations...very nice..

that's weird. did you install a whole bunch of app? or things like ringtones ect?
1.77gb is alot for a phone and i never filled up the storage. unless it is the market bug where apps above a certain size never download. if that's the case you need to downgrade the market. if the phone did not come with the new market you can go into settings>applications>all and find the market/vending.apk then you can uninstall updates. if you would like to install a custom rom then gtg465x had a fix for this in a custom market .apk with his roms, and entropy and linux bozo have a kernel fix in their gingerbread kernels so the new market will download apps of any size.
if you infact filled the storage then you can move apps to the sd card in settings>applications>downloaded but keep aftermarket launchers and applications with widgets on the phone storage. the reasaon is that the sd card doesnt mount till after the ui starts and apps on the sd card will disapear from the home screen, if the launcher is on the sd card it will default to the touchwiz launcher. you can also do this in bulk with titanium backup.
Hi
hi yeah it tells me i have 1.7 gb free and i get a message from the mark. i try to download i all the angry birds games at the same time and the first one was able to install fine and then i get that message from the market . i had to move that game to the sd before installing the rest i just installed this ROM MIUI - and when i had the stock ROM i never had this problem - i really like this ROM ... i only have like 5 apps installed and i have moved most of them to the SD - Facebook wont move and A.I Type wont move to the SD the rest are on the Sd -
i read some where on the web where i could go in terminal type a code and have all the apps that i download go there directly to the in.. sd card - im not sure if this is possible that's why im asking @
That no space warning is a bug in Market, go to settings>market and uninstall updates.
Things should download then, search Market fix.
Or just reboot...it will fix it also...done it many times

the newwest miui "should" have a kernel end fix. i mean the aosp kernel was developed by linux bozo and he put out a market fix on the hellraiser kernel but i dont keep up with the aosp roms.
if the kernel isn't part of the latest miui you may want to try the cm7 kernel, it is possible that because jordan elliot is having family things going on that are more important that he hasnt updated the kernel since the fix was released.
anyway it doesnt matter where you put the apps the low space message is an error. it has little to do with the space available.
when you have questions like this it helps on occasion to provide the carrier the phone is for(rogers/att), the rom or kernel you may have installed and if it is stock provide the baseband and maybe even what network you are on if it is not the one that the phone was released for. there may be known issues or differences that affect the answer and it is more productive if you can avoid having questions answered with questions or really broad answers.
Hi thanks for your help man like I said im new to this .. i was getting a msg from the market saying that because I think the market has a 30 mb download limited ... everything is working from know.. next time ill try to read more before I post lol ..

At first I must say this is my first and only Android phone. Since I stuck with V21b software which is as I found out impossible to root is there any way for me to restore/downgrade previous V21a software version that was on this phone before (as much as I can find out V21a is "rootable" on O3D). I guess I need something like stock ROM and not any custom.
Thanks once more for help.
What do you need to root for if you want a stock rom? 21b is the best stock rom.

I'm rooted on v21a and I'll tell you why root is needed.Making backups on a regular basis, use titanium backup,gl to sd and many more apps which require root.So root is needed on ofiicial too.The only root benefit on custom roms over the stock ones is overclocking ability (if kernel supports it)
Still waiting for cm9
Thank you all very much, last night I downgrade my O3D to V21a and manage to root it. Now again when I install some app it is in internal sdcard, and I want all apps to be installed on my micro sd card by default. Can you please help me with this. Thanks.

Glad to hear you worked everything out!
There is a option its called swap method look in development thread but i wont risk it because almost all the apps will crash with this method so dont take the chance... btw you can swap alot of apps by default to sdcard in aplications settings why you want to to install apps on sd card if you got 1gb of internal memory for apps on board? anyway have a look if you want but i will strongly reccomend that u shouldnt make any tweaks on your phone afterall the phone has already have this tweaks on standard factory settings!
I just want to use my 16GB sd card instead of internal sd. For example I have preinstalled Asphalt6, Lets golf and NOVA, downloaded Backstab installed and cant start game because there is not enough free space. I now that I can set move to sd card in app manager (even in stock ROM) and if I do that everything is still same, no more new free space. This is the problem that am facing with and need help to solve it. Thanks.

Hi friends, i installed LINK2SD with two partitions on sd-card and linked all apps (except go launcher, evernote, applock, link2sd, free2sms)
but my internal memory is only 39% free.
If i try to install any more apps(linked) , internal memory getting filled and becoming very very slow.
My phone is galaxy ACE-5830 (2.3.4) -Stock ROM
Does linking the app to sd card moves the apk+data ?
Im posting screenshot also.

Hello
So i have a little problem which is really anoying ...
I'm running the lastest stock FW which is Jelly Bean 4.1.1, and my device is rooteed ( i updated with OTA RootKeeper) and i'm sure i'm rooted because somes apps that requires root are working perfectly.
I have tried every single app on the market that would allow me to move my apps to the SD card but no success, every app fails ...
Any idea on how to fix this ?
Thanks in advance

Look for link2sd on the market. This app will move your apps to your sdcard then create a reference point for the OS to find the app. The draw back is it's a little technical to set this up. You need to create 2 partitions on your sd card, first partion is fat32 to store your normal stuff and the second partion formatted with ext4 for the apps. Currently there is no other app can move app to sd.

Well, let's say that some apps requires a certain patch that only works when the patch is applied to an app that has been moved to the SD card :fingers-crossed:
You can also use the app directory bind to do this on ICS or JB.
With large apps like GTA3, GTA Vice CIty, and Madden, even with a 32g card being able to move large apps to sd would be a godsend. Its making my god tablet slow being filled up. Be nice to find a workaround...
Hi ,
I bought new htc explorer and successfully rooted it.
I am tring to increase my internal memory by this script : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1932874
i just partitioned my 8gb card to 4,4 both primary , 1 fat32 and 1 is ex2.
I implememted all ways, installed and all terminal steps worked fine.
But my internal storage didnt increase sill 9mb remaining , but yes SD card is showing the 4 gb storage but how i can attach the other 4gb storage to internal memory
i also tried 2nd options also ,flash that recovery file after 1st options but both are not working although my explorer is rooted. In boot mode it says installed successfuly but internal memory donot increase.
Then i came to know that i hadnot enable init.support in the stock rom as above process requires this , so i tried this step
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1422061
and getting error :
exit value : 0
stdout : M2SD has already been loaded. Canceling Second Run.
so how i can enable init support in my pico to execute the script to increase memory
Thanks

1. Go to recovery then backup & restore then select backup
It will create clockworkmod folder on your sdcard and you can restore it by using the restore option.
Make sure u hav suff. space on sd card. I make with > 1gb free
2. Its your choice. If you want the stock exp.then go with the rom i told. For me HTC Sense is very imp. so m sticking wid nextgen. If you want something new then go wid CM9 or 10 or whatever rom.
Personal exp.- I just missed sense after switching to a non-sense rom
Hope it helps
