Nothing fancy just basic Android built from AOSP. Unsecured boot.img, You will need to flash Superuser and Gapps after flashing ROM if you need them.
OTA weekly updates will be available via ROM Manager or download.

Nice work, I'm surely gonna try .Keep up.

Thanks! Waiting for 4.1.1 too!
Does anyone know if you flash this does it clear the entire memory or just the os partition. I have flashed many Roms before on other android devices but all those had an SD card and with the unlocking process I know the entire data was erased.

Ah OK I'll have a look into it tonight for you, its probably the updater script if you want you can try use the META folder from another ROM (nexus 7 ROM) and see if it flashes until I fix it later

Yup looks like I'll be waiting because I have absolutely no idea what you just said

It appears it not just your downloads I can't seem to flash any Roms. I tried to flash other ROM and it keeps giving me same error. It almost seems like it can find the zip files on SD card to flash and then it goes to flash and can no longer find the file. Anyone have any insight into this?
first off seems D/L is not working but I dint think there were so many issues with ROM. We definetly need a solid Stock ROM with ROOT (4.1.1), Hope its works when I flash
is this completely stock? no tablet UI dpi build.prop changes? (that's what i'm after)

Because of the issue with the Superuser app, I've replaced the package with a new one only containing the boot.img and system.img from the factory image. This is basicly an in recovery flashable version of the factory image for "nakasi" (the WI-FI only version). If you need the current bootloader, it is available here. A flashable busybox package is here. For su please search the forum for a working version of Superuser or SuperSU.
System: system.img from factory image
Kernel: boot.img from factory image

Hmm.. looks like I'll be flashing this on my N7 when I get home from work. Are we able to go into CWM after flashing this ROM? Im planning to nandroid backup the current ROM installed, flash 4.2 to see how it is, then restore from the backup.

Yes, the recovery partition keeps untouched.
No Root?
Just flashed and I don't have root. Did I overlook something obvious?
Yessss!!

Can it be flashed with Twrp?
Also this isn't going to erase everything on my nexus right?

For those asking about root, you can easily root with the 3.20 tool kit. I just chose the option to push superuser to internal storage and flash via a temporary cwm recovery.
Loving this new keyboard BTW
Cheers to the op

It is included:
Code:
$>unzip -l JOP40C.zip | grep Superuser.apk
1468798 08-01-08 14:00 system/app/Superuser.apk
$>unzip -l JOP40C.zip | grep su
380532 08-01-08 14:00 system/bin/su
And also gets installed:
Code:
$>adb shell
[email protected]:/ $ which su
/system/bin/su
[email protected]:/ $ ls /system/app/Superuser.apk
/system/app/Superuser.apk
A factory reset may be needed if coming from a custom ROM.
So wants the deal...does this include su or not?

Using ClockworkMod here, so I can't speak for TWRP. Flashing this ROM doesn't touch your user data.

Hello all,
Does anyone know if you root your phone, or install a custom kernel, if it will affect Nexus updates in any way?
cheers!
Rooting no, custom kernel yes
Sent from my Nexus 5
root alone, no.
if you add a custom kernel, the updates will download but fail.
Thanks for the quick reply gents!
Will root get lost if the firmware gets updated?
Also is there a stock kernel flashable zip anywhere?

1) yes
2) https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images - fastboot flash boot boot.img
I change to paranoid android and I don't have root anymore so I need the SuperSU flashable.
