Installed the 2.1 apk on my GS3. Red logo is continually in notification bar. Assumed this is due to hack telling Beats that any headphones are Beats branded. So it just runs.
I'd like to remove it. Anyone know a setting or the file I would need to search for to delete/modify the icon?
Thx!

I no longer receive a beats notification in ARHD 3.6.8; I had this notification in 3.6.6.
Was this notification removed?
(My headphones are beats by dre)
Thanks!
Uh, figured out that 1) using google music doesn't activate beats and 2) beats icon doesn't show up unless the music app is on.
Sorry about that.
Hi i just got a HTC Sensation XE with beats audio and wanted to know if the music interface has changed with any of the updates. Before i got mine i was using one in the store and unlike the model i own the music interface looks different and even shows the beats logo and htc message as your playing music. Mine just shows the logo at the top so was hoping someone could shed some light and help. Sorry of the question sounds dumb.
.
The XE on GB uses the generic Sense 3.0 player with the Beats notifier add-on that displays a little notification in the status bar. The ICS upgrade is the same thing but using the Sense 3.5/Sense 3.6 music player.
So, no, nothing significant.

Thanks for reply. So once you upgrade to ICS they removed the notification in the status bar and just kept the beats logo correct?
Thanks Again
Nah the beats notifier in the status bar is still there.
Ok now im lost because when i listen to music i see the beats logo in red but while il playing music it does say and scroll " HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio" in the notification bar. Also i know this sounds silly but when you click the simlock option from the recovery option what does it do to the phone because i think i might have messed up my phone now.
Thanks

I believe the sim lock did what it says.. No one uses stock recovery now.. But tell me one thing after the sim lock.. What happened? I think it might have kept something like pin unlock...
If you forgot the pin unlock code you've given... Can you go into bootloader again then to recovery and see whether you got any option like "sim unlock" and see

I just updated my T-mobile One S to 1.84 and noticed that on the music player, HTC deleted all the different sound presets that were available under menu->sound enhancer!!
Before, I could choose from 5 different beats audio settings, and many other non-beats presets. Now, I go to menu->sound enhancer and there is just beats on or beats off . Beats makes some music sound a bit harsh, and I would usually leave it at Classic preset, and now it is gone.
Anyone else notice this?

Yep, gone on mine also. TMOUSA
I've heard from an One S review(was told by a HTC staff), it will now change to auto detection which beats you are plugging in and no more manual selection.
What happens when a non beats headphone is plugged in...how does it determine the equalization then?
I have iBeats, but when I connect it to my system in my auto, I prefer the Beats Pro setting.
I also have stereo bluetooth headsets and a pair of Sony Pro Studio Monitors...
Now I guess I'm stuck with "on or off"
This sucks any way to roll it back?
Same happenned with eu update 1.73 i think

I disabled Beats because I don't care for the artificial sound manipulation. However, Beats annoyingly displays a grayed out Beats icon in the status bar. I searched around the 'net and couldn't find an answer. Is there a way to get rid of that icon?

Use titanium backup and freeze htcbeatsnotify
In the months I've been on here I havent heard any mention of this. I was wondering if there is any mod or something similar that would allow sound ducking on sense 4 roms.
What I mean:
For those who don't know the sound ducking, I'm talking about is like what is in cyanogen. When listening to music or playing media and a notification comes in, the media volume drops lower and the notification noise comes in.
How it currently is on SENSE 4:
When listening to media and a notification comes in, the media completely cuts off for about a second, the notification then plays with some delay and finally the music/media comes back.
This doesn't seem that bad but it can become quite annoying, especially on car rides when there's a bunch of friends in the car or when I have my phone hooked up to the stereo on the other side of the room. It's a nice feature that I've seen since at least cm7, I hope someone knows something.
Thanks
