[REQUEST] Sound ducking on Sense 4.0 - HTC Sensation

In the months I've been on here I havent heard any mention of this. I was wondering if there is any mod or something similar that would allow sound ducking on sense 4 roms.
What I mean:
For those who don't know the sound ducking, I'm talking about is like what is in cyanogen. When listening to music or playing media and a notification comes in, the media volume drops lower and the notification noise comes in.
How it currently is on SENSE 4:
When listening to media and a notification comes in, the media completely cuts off for about a second, the notification then plays with some delay and finally the music/media comes back.
This doesn't seem that bad but it can become quite annoying, especially on car rides when there's a bunch of friends in the car or when I have my phone hooked up to the stereo on the other side of the room. It's a nice feature that I've seen since at least cm7, I hope someone knows something.
Thanks

Distortion during music playback

I have been in the process of using my Sensation as my mp3 player over my iTouch (purchased bluetooth fm transmitter and docks and what not), but have run into a problem I can't seem to fix. When I am playing music there is a distinct distortion in the sound. It sounds almost like a scratching, static as if listening to music on a blown out speaker. This happens with every player I have used (Player Pro, PowerAmp, Stock player) and every media I have used to listen to my music (built in speaker, external speaker, headphone, stock headset, fm transmitter). I have played with the equalizer settings long enough and cannot get rid of this annoyance. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?
Bump, am I the only one with this issue?
I noticed it but I hard reset and it went away. I use poweramp

I haven't done a factory reset yet... if that cures it I will, but that's a lot of reinstalling I have to do
Just thought I would bump this...I am a bit surprised by the poor sound ...particularly over A2DP

Is your Beats on or off?

Running TMOUS stock, wondering if your Beats notification pops when connected to headset or does it pop up when listening to a music player regardless of headset?
Thanks
It pops up when you have a handset plugged in and sound is being outputted.

It also shows up on my phone when I listen through my bluetooth earphone.
Thanks, I could have sworn it used to pop up every time I used a music player regardless of earphones or Bluetooth connection.
how do you guys configure beats? I use mixzing to play my music, and whenever I plug in my aux cable, beats doesnt pop up or anything.....and i seriously cant find any system setting or configuration for beats...

To change Beats options: Open Music app > Menu > Sound Enhancer
You can disable the annoying Beats logo in the statusbar by disabling HtcBeatsNotify in apps but you won't have the quick on/off setting in the notifications.
The "sound enhancer" option is not in Google music app...anyone know where I can find it?
Nah, Music as in the HTC Music player.
thanks for your response, so it sounds like the only way to utilize beats is to use the htc music player huH?
Nah dude it turns on whenever u have a headset in and playing anything .. like YouTube google music whatever

I occasionally listen to music (when I have no alternative) through just the external speaker.
So Beats will not be running in that case, correct?

correct, as all beats is doing is enhancing the bass, which the external speaker can't reproduce correctly anyways. So it would be pointless.

[Q] All sound through bluetooth

my old HTC Aria would send all sounds, even notifications, through my bluetooth speakerphone adapter for the car. So, I could be listening to music, and hear my email notification tone, then the music would play again. I was using CM7.1 on the Aria.
So far, the Skyrocket does not do this no matter which ROM I've used. I will be listening to music through car speakers, then hear the phone speaker play my email notification, then my car speakers play music again. It's a bit odd. I haven't used CM on it, because it doesn't appear to be a "daily driver"...
Any word on if the thing will do it, or how to make it happen?
I'm fairly sure all my ROM's have done this. My stereo is a JVC.
One ROM and I wish I knew which it was, would even give my GPS a separate volume indicator so I could make the GPS much louder than the music.
None of the ROM's I've tried since then do that. They all put everything into one single Bluetooth volume.
I am using stock unrooted UCLE2, I think its called, and it works for me through the Bluetooth stereo in my Camry.

Our note ank skyrocket both do this. It has something to do with system media but i have not had time to look into it. Back when I was playing I noticed that if you use an app like zedge or video caller id to set the notification it plays over bt or headphones...if you set through system menu it plays through phone only Or sometimes you get both...

Notification sounds stop disrupt media playback

Currently notification sounds stop the music playback (beats on/off doesn't matter). Is there a way to stop it from doing that? I feel like when I initially got it (1.83 I think) it didn't use to, but since then I have moved on, so I don't remember.
Has anyone found a way to make it stop doing that? The only work around I found is to mute the ringer volume first and then start playing audio.

the notification sound is doing what it is suppose too, you can mute or disable notification sounds then your audio will not be stopped down side would be you will have to check your phone for text, emails etc.
Really? In my previous phone it would mix in nicely with the notification being lost than the music. That way the music wouldn't cut out completely.

The music cuts out during notifications on the stock ROMs (1.73 and 1.85) same as for all 3 HTC Android devices I've owned.
If it blended in to the music, you might not notice it, depending on the volume and ringtone used.
Just turn the ringer volume down. I wouldn't mind it except it doesn't pause the music so there is a few second gap in the song.
Ah. I see. This is my first HTC android.
Thanks

[Q] Music playback skips whenever i receive notifications

No matter what, if notification sound is enabled, while I'm playing music through the headphone jack whenever I receive a message the music skips and the notification plays over the on-board speaker along with a small blip of the audio playing. Its extremely annoying.
Even when using PowerAmp, an app with settings that keeps the music from stopping when a notification is played can't keep the audio from re-routing to the on-board speaker for the duration of the sound.
Whats going on, and how can I attempt to fix this.
