Hi Try this thread.http://www.htconeforum.com/forum/ht...e-your-htc-one-s-back-100-stock-relocked.html It should have many answers.
If you will have some questions, just ask. I did go back to stock myself about a week ago and it went just fine. Not many steps. I just deleted super user(SU), flashed the stock recovery(all in one toolkit) has that option and lastly, locked the bootloader. So so the thread above will direct you to RUU file, choose the one from your company. There is an example of T-Mobile USA version, but you will be able to get the one that you need.

[Q] Tmo One S (stock) Bootloader tampered

First i apologize if this is was already posted,
I just got the 1.84 ota update installed. And i just want to check the h boot . And its says Tampered and Locked.
My issue is i never unlocked the bootloader or tried to root this phone. Bought phone new from T-mobile.
Is this normal for stock phone to say tampered?
If it is not then i will want to root since its tampered, but is there a way to root for 1.84 .

Go exchange it if you're plan to use stock. If not go root it
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using Tapatalk 2
You could exchange it, but if you plan to root instead, there's 2 sticky threads in development specifically devoted to rooting and they work for the 1.84 update as well. However, there's also a "one click" rooting option in the One X (AT&T version) development section that was recently updated and MIGHT work on the 1.84 update without having to unlock the bootloader through HTC. The last one click for the AT&T X worked for the S as well before the 1.84 update.

Thanks ,
Last thing is it normal to see tampered on a completely stock device thats never been rooted
Absolutely not.

Mine was listed as "tampered". I didn't think much of it as I was planning on unlocking/rooting anyway.

[Q] Updation of Unlocked AT&T HOX...is it possible to update. If so, How??

I have a unlocked At&T HOX ...i think it is network unlocked...I did it by entering a code and the phone is working fine here in India with other networks..
My Android version is 4.0.3 and software is 1.85
I came to know that there is a update for HOX with 4.0.4 and i think 2.22...
My question is..as i unlocked it...If I update my mobile to this new version..does it get blocked\bricked....what are the safety measures to be taken..please explain...
I am scared to do as I don't have good enough knowledge...
Also, if the update is succesful am i supposed to unlock it again...if so, will the existing unlock code work??
Please someone guide me...
many thanks in advance...
You should unlock your bootloader first. It sounds like you are just sim unlocked. You also won't get an OTA if you are using a different carrier so you would need to run the RUU. I have never sim unlocked a phone before, but I would guess you might have to reenter your sim unlock code again.
I mainly took the 2.20 RUU for running on AT&T network, which I think was an improvement over 1.85. Since you are not on AT&T I would recommend unlocking your bootloader, and flashing a radio that's best suited for your carrier. If you take the 2.20 RUU you won't be able to flash radios anymore.

Are you currently rooted? I would unlock your bootloader and do SuperCID before doing any updates. That way you can always root your phone.

I wouldn't recommend 2.20. Once you run the 2.20 you have to flash the boot.img for any ROM manually (so you can't use restore a backup on the go without a computer) and you can't flash radios at all. Being that he is using this phone internationally, being able to flash radios may be pretty important.

what i said.
not being able to flash boot.img in recovery is the most annoying aspect of flashing the 2.20 ruu when you are already bootloader unlocked.

No I didn't root it...I got the phone and unlock code (Seller sent both to me)...once i got it just inserted other carrier sim and unlocked the phone...apart from this I didn't do anything...it is as it is...As another friend mentioned, I think I did SIM\Network Unlock...
What is the way to root the phone....and how to unlock bootloader...???

I don't really know what to tell you. You should do some more research first. We told you already what you "should" do.
root, unlock bootloader, flash recovery, flash custom rom, if you have trouble with network try different radios. do not take an ota or ruu, i am sure you will regret it.

There really is no reason to ruu.... Just unlock your bootloader, superCID then just flash a custom rom

Once u get into this realm of playing with your phone their is always a chance of bricking it with a phone like this do hard research and get to know it before u start f'ing with it or ull be one if those people that sees android revolution and think oh wow I loved that Rom on my inspire! And get smacked to brickville

[Q] XT925 on CyanogenMod 10.2, unlocked, rooted: how to revert back to full stock?

Hi everyone,
As precised in the title, I'm not pretty sure about the right method to adopt to revert back to stock (stock ROM, unroot, lock bootloader) in my situation.
I searched the forum, with several answers, but I'm not sure.
Can someone confirm me the right method please?
Thanks a lot
You cannot re lock your boot loader as it is forever unlocked.
You will have to find a unrooted stock ROM that will revert the OS back to normal without root.
But unfortunately you're forever unlocked

as stated, you cant re-lock the bl.

Is it possible to unlock the bootloader of an XT925 that can only boot into fastmode?

My phone is boogered up so bad that it just boots into fastboot mode. I have been unsuccessful in flashing the stock ROMs. It's the Canadian version with unlocked GSM. I'm hoping that unlocking the bootloader will help me to flash it and get it working again. I have tried using the Motorola site but it says my phone cannot be unlocked.
Anyone?? Please? I have search these forums for days and cannot find the answer to my question. If it's there I'm finding it. Any help would be appreciated.
I know Rogers allows unlocking the bootloader. As I recall, you're a Fido user (which Rogers owns) right? Are you still looking for the Fido 4.1.2 SBF? I think I can track it down for you. I'm surprised Moto won't unlock the bootloader via the website. Have you tried Motoclypse (I think it's called) to try and unlock it? I guess you'll need a running ROM first.
Lemme know what you need exactly and I'll see if I can hunt it down for you.

CWG... Thank you! I've scoured a few sites that are still up and running (best one so far is motofirmware.com.) I found and downloaded this.. 9.8.2Q-8-XT925_VQL-12.2_CANADA_VANQJBLTEFRCI_P004_CFC_fb.xml but cannot flash gpt and boot partitions. I have tried editing the xml file as suggested in other posts to prevail. Is there a way I can positively identify which region my phone is? I purchased it brand new from a Canadian seller on eBay. The listing said that it was a Rogers phone but when I unlocked the GSM the key came back as being from Fido. There was no carrier specific apps on it. I'm at the most current level of firmware on it by the carrier as of a few weeks ago.
I got the bootloader unlocked!!!! I was originally entering the code into Motorola's website through Chrome and something told me to try it through Firefox.... success!!

Awesome, so you're good to go or still need a SBF for Fido?

Pixel, go back to stock

Hi all
I unlocked my bootloader the other day and proceeded to root my device and have a play around. But since then I ve wanted to return to stock firmware and perhaps relock my bootloader.
Could someone kindly list the steps need to revert back to how the phone arrived in the box?
Many thanks in advance
Someone may need to confirm but the easiest way to do that would be download the latest stock firm ware and use the flash-all script. Then re lock the bootloader.
Yah those are the steps. Google "pixel factory images" and follow all directions.
Sent from my sailfish using XDA Labs
Flash all script never seems to work, I always have to do it manually
