SD card problems

I'm running TNT lite 2.2.0 (yes I need to flash a more recent version...) and I cannot seem to access my SD card in any way. When I took it out it told me that I had removed it unexpectantly, and when I tried to get back into ES file explorer it had all my root forlders an files in what it called: /sdcard. And the area labeled: / (the root of the gtablet) there were the old files that used to be on my SD card, even though I had removed it... from then on I have been having tons of problems accessing files, sometimes it seems like I have no files at all today, I opened it to access some media I downloaded and only the folder labeled "data" was there with a bunch of random stuff in it that I truly don't care about. Now, I got a new SD card, put it in and still the files from the old SD card were still there.... I don't know what to do, I tried clearing the cache, didn't work, I tried accessing SDcard anylist the whole app force closed on me, so that didn't work either!!!! I don't know what to do!!! I also tried rebooting, didn't work... I need help thanks.
I got it, the directory was just different but it still will not let me delete or rename stuff... still help please?? I even tried a different file explorer...
The /sdcard folder is internal memory. The /sdcard2 folder is the actual path to the microsd card.

[Q] Cant find .android directory on sd card

I was figuring out how to read some of my own epub's on my phone through aldiko. I had a problem finding the root directory in aldiko. But i figured that out and after I figured it out. I wasn't able to see both directories that pop up when you click mass storage when its plugged in via usb to my computer. I can see the folder for DCIM and LOST.DIR but not the main directory folder.
I'm using a Droid Bionic with Verizon it's all stock and I have not rooted yet.
I've done some poking around and I still haven't found a solution yet but I've plugged the bionic via USB to my other computer and I still cant see the main directory. (I don't know if I'm using the right terminology) when I go into devices and printers and right click on the phone's storage drive, two drives are an option but only one is black and clickable and the other one (the main directory i assume) is grey and I cannot click it.
I dont know where to go from here so any advice would be appreciated.

storage isnt full, but i cant copy anything to my phone or save anything..

my phones storage has plenty of space, a few gigs left on both internal and external memory....but it wont let me save any files, take pictures, or transfer files from my computer to phone...anyone know of this and got a fix? im running the ics leak, and am trying to update it, but cant put the rom on my SD card..
?? anyone...
Connect your phone to your computer and open up your folder option and "show hidden files and folders". Look for a trash folder on your sd card and delete it.

How to put file in root of the SD card

Guys i wanna ask how to put file in the root of the SD card and explain easy im not soo good at English wanna run Android on my XPERIA X1 and i can't
On most Android devices you can plug phone into your computer select usb mode on phone and open, mount, explore it on your computer. If you down load a file on your phone get a explorer app from the play store find the file in maybe download(s) dir and move to sdcard. Good Luck.

When it says to put on the root of the SD card, it means do not put it in a folder.
Do not put it in a folder on the SD card. I can't say it any simpler than that...hope it helps.

Click to collapse
Indeed, you cant put it any simpler than that! Helped me a lot! I thought it was the Lost.Dir file I always see in recovery. Im trying to flash an old Froyo tablet that crashed when I put my gmail acct in it. Says to put the cmd script in the sd root. Didnt work, now it looks like I know why! Thank you sir (or ma'am) ! I love XDA.

Getting kicked out of pc when trying to transfer files

A71 5G , rooted, never had an issue with transferring files as long as my phone was recognized by my pc. Running win 10, and it just forced an update after which this issue started: I plug in my phone via USB (c to c) to my pc. Pc opens an explorer window with 2 folders, my SD and internal. I can open either of those folders, and every folder down the line, but as soon as I open a folder with files in it I get kicked out explorer window blinks, reopens to the window of choosing SD or internal again. Anyone have this experience or know how to fix it? Thanks in advance..
