Thats a good page but unfortunately they dont sell 1 piece items.... they supply in high quantities and only if you have a company that repairs/resells/etc phones... they ask for a series of data like business name and legal stuff... i remember i tried to purchase 1x samsung OEM battery cover... haha they basicly laughed at me saying i need to be a company and buy at least 10x.

also, when disassembling the phone to replace the housing, is the screen at risk of allowing dust particles in? or is the screen/digitizer sealed? one of my pet peeves is dust behind the screen

Hi all. Any Bolt owner who wants to sell a Bolt if you're giving it up for another - i have recently obtained stupidity as a skill of mine, so obviously putting that to use right away, i handed my 1 yr old daughter my phone, and watched in slow-mo as she slammed it down to the kitchen floor, cracking the screen.
(It's not jagged, still smooth, and the touch is not damaged, but there are many "sprayed" cracks).
I have a nice th3ory rom on it, and i've already bought nice accessories for it, so i'm not giving up! Rather than wait for my wife's upgrade and take hers and decide whether to send mine in for repair, i want to know if anyone has a Thunderbolt they want to part with? I would take a rooted one that you confirm has a rom that has been discussed on the forums, i'm real happy with the Bolt and would like it back. Discuss here! Then maybe we can set up a price for it! appreciate it XDA!

I have a TB running s3ns3th3ory (god what a stupid name for a rom). Phone is in gorgeous condition, has always been in a heavy, hard walled, leather case. No scratches to the screen or the body, no wear marks anywhere.
Don't know absolutely yet whether or not I really want to sell it but will consider offer.

Was afraid you would see that. If I didn't like it I wouldn't be running it but I sure wish you had thought up better names! Ok, I got the name wrong, but the same effect for the right name. Sorry, love your roms, just hate the names.

Pretty sure you cannot sell phones outside the marketplace on xda.

Wouldn't the phone break in the first drop if they put ceramic body? I know this sounds really stupid but I have no idea what they mean by saying Ceramic body..

I don't think Samsung will be allowed to create phones that break on first drop, unfortunately Apple has already patented that technology. I guess Samsung will need to work around that and create a phone that withstands drops

i think it will be the kind of ceramic used for brakes on some cars. If it can bring a super to a halt from 200mph then it will be able to take a few hits

There are some guns with ceramic components. The Glock22 is supposed to have a ceramic body. I don't think it will be your regular ceramic used in pottery

[Q] Blaze 4G.. appraisal?

Hey guys, I'm probably going to sell my Blaze 4G, one of my friends is selling me his HTC One S for a great price so I'm thinking I'll jump on that..
Bought the Blaze shortly after it was released, no scratches on the screen since it has a screen protector. A couple scratches on the phone itself, which forced me to get a case (D3O durable rubbery case). Has all accessories, box, etc.
Would $200 or so be a fair price for my Blaze 4G? I'll probably try selling locally before selling online

Please ask around here for a Developer, I think one was looking to buy one. Should sell to him. I believe Erik knows.

I got $300 first person to call me for it. But I got lucky. I think in good shape 250 isn't unreasonable whether people like it or not it's a fair price for what it is.

Yeah 200-225 would be a fair asking price based on what I have seen on flea-bay. But it would be awesome if you could sell to a dev ....

Sadly today i broke the front glass of my 1.5 year old galaxy R. I took it immediately to a Samsung Galaxy R SCC only to find out that they are charging in excess of INR 7000 to replace the digitizer of the galaxy R. I also approached other local mobile repair shops but they all are asking in excess of 4000 INR which I frankly think is too much to spend on 1.5 year device (despite the fact that i absolutely love my galaxy R). I then started searching online for the galaxy R digitizer and found a site called parts4repair.com . It seems to have an awesome inventory of galaxy R spare parts along with spare parts of other phones too. However i am confused as to whether i should trust this site as they are asking for 20$ including shipping which is quite less compared to what everyone else has quoted so far but still a large enough amount that i would not like to go to waste. Could anyone tell me of their past experiences of the site if anyone has ordered anything and also any other cheaper alternatives to repair my phone. The LCD which produces the image is fine but the front glass is cracked and doesn't respond to my touch anymore

How is that rather than addressing my problem you are more concerned about which category I should have posted in. When i post in XDA I am looking for help and not criticism of my actions. And if the Mod thinks it should be posted in the QA section then i am sure he will take the necessary action.

IMO you should get it repaired from local shop. doing this you will get it repaired in very short time and its better that an experienced person fits the screen rather than you do after buying online.

we have Mod that doesnot mean that we can post anything anywhere and let Mods sort all the threads in proper section.
Being a member of XDA you should follow rules and post it in correct section.

Hold you hand buddy. we know that you are in so much bad situation but please Dont be panic else this kinda reply will tend to stay away other users from this thread.
@vipul12389mehta buddy was just suggest a Rule not asked you to adhere to it strictly.
You may trust the site but have to ask site (using call or mail) that what kinda delivery they will do (Means courier services). also keep on tracking the courier when it will be ordered. Hope all will go well.

Maybe you can ask other fellow members by pm about what they did in similar situations

Best way is to buy a LCD with the front glass (because it is fused) and then replace it. If you can't do this, ask something who can. But disassemble is not very hard and I'm sure that u can do it yourself

hey buddy, what did you do finally? Sadly Im in the same boat as you were.. I accidentally dropped my phone and the screen has multiple cracks. only a small portion of the touch screen is working, rest is dead.

I have visited to Gaffar market of delhi for my Friends Neo V display and touch replacement. They chargrd 2200/- for both. i was shocked coz other retailers were asking 3800-4000/-. I think touch may b changed uoto 1200-1500/-.

Not really, even online from China if I would order the LCD and glass kit it would have costed around 90usd..
And it turns out that many people are right, it's extremely difficult to separate just the glass from the LCD..its almost like its fused, so we need repair with the kit only...
The service center here quoted almost 8k, so I saved Rs 3000
