What is not working in ZenEXP
SMS Messages are limited to 160 char. (You can use Handcent and choose the option to split 160 for a temp fix)
Mobile Network settings will Force Close (This is a GSM rom from T-Mobile it does not have the CDMA Settings for Sprint)
There is no PRI or PRL Updates (Again a GSM Rom does not support this)
Contacts Widget will force close (This Rom had faves not a people widget)(This widget must remain for friendstream to work)
Get More Widgets Not Working
Landscape Rosie has been removed for the time being (Might be back in later)
myMode Themes will reboot the phone once applied (this is normal for our devices)

Difference between Odex and Deodex Versions
Odexed is taking the classes.dex file within every .apk in the rom, removing it and compressing it differently in a .odex file this makes for a lot faster first boots and over all performance as the dalvik cache is not being used in the same manner and a deodex version.
Deodexed is leaving the classes.dex file inside every .apk which makes is much easier to theme or modify each .apk but you do sacrifice some speed.

How to use overclock widget instead of setcpu:
Download it from the market and add the widget to your home screen.
Tap on the widget.
Goto advanced settings.
Make sure "Use your frequencies" is checked.
Tap on "Detect frequencies". Scroll down to the bottom and tap save.
Tap on the overclock widget again and you should be able to set your frequencies.
How to use setcpu:
Download it from xda it's free for xda members: Link or Buy it from the market.
Once installed it will ask for root access. Superuser will pop up. Pick always allow.
On the device selection screen scroll down to Custom Frequencies. It will read the values from the setcpu.txt installed on your sdcard.
Now you should be able to set your custom frequencies.
OpenOverclocker in the market also works well although it's very basic. Only two sliders to mess with min/max.

How to use Zen Config:
Zen Config is a new addition to ZenRoms. It was developed by TrevE from damage roms. (Thanks Trev) A new Zen Config is in the works but did not make it into this release. We wanted to get this out ASAP. This tool is mostly experimental so play with it at your own risk.
Important Note:
To enable JIT or a2sd you must use Zen Config. They are both disabled by default.

Zen Updater is used for Roms Updates, Themes, Extras, etc. Any updates will be listed in Zen-Updater if it is compatible with your rom version. If you do not see an update it is probably not compatible with your rom version.[/B]
Zen Reporter can be used to report rom bugs etc. If you are reporting a Force Close you must provide us with a bug report from this application or we will probably not look into your problem. Please Run the app and fill out your XDA username and give a brief description of your problem so we can look into it.
ZenConfig is a quick make up for now to get some use out of the config features. This app was created by TrevE so thanks to him for that.
I will be rebuilding this app from the ground up so stay tuned for a new version. When it is available it will be in Zen-Updater.

Agreed. This is the finest, fastest, stablest Sense based rom out there. I play with the Froyo roms often but always come back to this. For whatever reason it just seems smoother than anything Froyo (was last running the 8/25 nightly). I think Hero phones just like Sense.
Thanks Zen/Zippy for all you do (and especially this rom) XDA is a better place because of you guys (even though you did ditch us for the Evo!)

how well does jit work within this rom are their certain widgets that dont work or does it run pretty smooth? pros and cons?
Haven't tried jit because it runs silky smooth without. Only issue that I have run into is with voice search. Other than that runs smoother than stock. Flash has worked impeccably

the rom runs smooth and stable without JIT enabled. I was having random reboots with JIT enabled.

In checking quadrant throughout the day the system info only registers the CPU speed at 691, never seen 710, am I missing something?
I did stray from the pack and flashed the latest Froyo nightly (I do that) for about an hour tonight (and also flashed Decadences kernel), promptly missed Zen and came right back. I did wipe before the restore but could any of that had an affect on the CPU speed? Did it mess with the ramdisk?
It appears the kernel is set to 'ondemand' does that mean I need to stress out the system somehow to have the CPU ramp up to 710?
I've not messed with the ZenUpdater (other than to look around) but noticed it was set to 'user config', is that normal?

It should work.
SInce im not posting from XDA APp and can elaborate now,
WHen I opened music app it would just force close over and over again
Even tried a different music app "mspot" same thing over and over
Tried wiping 3 tiems and reflashing, wiped everything but ext since I dont use ext no luck
GREAT WORK though cannot wait for the music to be fixed!
Edit: I can probably restore and get a logcat if needed

It seems that "touch to auto-focus" has been replaced by "touch to take picture" in the Camera? Is that how it's supposed to be? I remember previously it was "touch to auto-focus" and "touch and hold to take picture"... just curious.

Yep. It should be OK.
Yes, it would be fine. Remember that bootmenu included in r2beta port has problems applying updates. It can´t mount /temp and would give you error. Change your bootmenu/cwm before updating.
I still can´t gent to mount RW in rootexplorer. Don´t know if it´s the version Im using, or other thing.

Apps on my phone that ask for root privilege are workig with no problems, including rw on rootexplorer. I used titanium backups to restore.

how much of a chance is there of bricking? is it a big risk? currently on cm7 latest build, if i flahsed and then wiped data, cache and dalvik, would i have less of a chance? silly questions i know

Actually it is realy hard for a stupid guy to perma-brick Milestone 2, thanks to the locked bootloader...
You can always go to bootloader mode and flash an SBF.
Just make sure you don't mess with /pds (this has your IMEI and is unique to each device) and some /dev/block/mmc1p* partitions.

Yep, If you know the basics, it should be hard to break it.
Some pc's dont like rdslite, dont know why. Just be careful to cover the basics before flashing your phone.
Guys, do you like miui? It's so nice this ROM. Maybe is not the fastest, but the work miui team did, it's amazing.

UI in general is now customized to provide maximum Desktop space and removed that damn stupid dockbar. Install is Simple :
Extract the folder "2012-05-07.23.09.47" to your SD Card->Clockworkmod->backup (keep the folder name and structure as is, dont change anything !)
Pull out your battery and reinsert it.
Boot phone into bootloader ( hold volume down and press power button ).
Choose "recovery"
Clear ALL cache ( Cache partition, Dalvik Cache and Battery stats )
Select backup/restore, then select restore
Choose "2012-05-07.23.09.47"
once restore is done, reboot phone
Once Booted up into Os, link your Google, Facebook and whatsapp accounts ( settings->accounts & Sync.)
Change weather location. ( just click on the sun/moon on desktop to edit weather location )
Change Time/Date to current. ( just click on the clock on desktop to edit time/date )

I made this for anyone who uses most of the same apps and stuff and dont care for the stupid side/dockbar and who don't know or dont want to hassle going thru all the crap to get the rom customized to the point where its actualy user friendly. You can now make FULL use of all your desktop space, you can add extra desktops and with all the most popular apps already installed you still have some memory free to install more.

Sounds like you have partition issues, You are asking in the wrong section. This is a rom release, not a partition repair thread.
its good bro but not impressed, u just add few more apps to Rom n release it with very less internal memory..if u really would like to do with this ROM then configure front camera n release it or do some necessary changes for better experience..these application r easily available in market..everybody can add more application & release it with SuperOSR version 3 or 4...please don't copy someone's effort...

O please, firstly i have taken no credit, neither did i say i changed anything on the rom. Secondly all roms are based on other roms, so everyone is taking stuff from everyone else. PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU POST.
Thirdly, this release is a UI customisation change, not a new rom release. the current superos has a UI that I don't like, all the icons are badly sitting awkwardly on the right hand side, the left column of the screen cant even be used. the dockbar is wasting valueble space and with such a small screen, very few people can click the dock buttons properly. the problem is that they didnt design the rom specificly for just the chacha but for more than one device and as such never took the time to sit with a single device and fix the little things, and If they dont want to fix the UI then why shouldnt i ?
Fourthly, you are right, i didn't have to add the apps, but these are apps most people will use and load anyway so why not just add them into the rom ?

That's why it's called open source.
Btw, munishjoshi, most ROMs are based on AOSP, which is Android Open Source Project, that has about 2000 people around the world working/have worked/will work on it and you don't see any credits to any of them.

my intention was not to steal thunder from anyone. Its just so bloody annoying that everytime i flash superos i must keep fixing the UI and reload all these apps and there must be others out there that feel the same way, this is reason i posted this. if no one has any use for it ill remove it and let everyone be happy...
I am already working on a release of a stripped down Stock Sense rom. and on that rom i am actualy editing the rom itself, not just the UI. Altho it will be a while before its done.

Apart from the UI there is nothing else to do on this rom. the rom is perfect as it is. just the UI needed adjustment.

Please adhere to the old addage "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it". Customization is why we all come to xda, either enjoy what is freely given to you, or do it yourself.

nope. i did not make any fixes to the rom itself, i just customized the UI to be more user friendly and edited some cache settings and stuff.

True, SuperOSR wasn't designed especifically for the Chacha. We focused our effort on making it work. What is a great thing of OpenSource is that people can help and join to the effort. In that case, if you fixed the UI as you say you did, do not hesitate to send your modification so they can benefit everyone.
Now, if by fixing the UI you mean you replaced Launcher with ADW, then IMHO you didn't "fix" it.
Changes made to the rom :
Changed UI to ADW Launcher ( the default launcher was crap, and also only allowed you to use only 3 rows of the deskspace for icons )
Removed Dockbar, screen is small enough and dockbar space is wasted.
Limited the screens to 2, can add more via the ADW Launcher settings.

lol, sorry wrong choice of words, i didn't mean fix as in it was broke. i just meant it wasnt very user friendly and customised it to be more so.

I have installed this great CoolDroid rom to my desire s (first custom rom installation I've done) and I'd like post some comments (and some (general?) questions).

- These apps are crashing when I want to select another account (drop down list on the upper left app menu bar): Notes, Tasks, Contacts
I'm not sure if I've missed some settings during the installation or if this is an CoolDroid issue. Is there any crash report where I can find more detailed informations?
- The overview of the home screens (zoomed out overview of your panels) isn't working. Has this been removed in CoolDroid, or should it work?
- And...just a small notice: on the clock widget on the lockscreen the time alignment is not in the center (it's more to the right). Can this be fixed somewhere in the settings?

It works great, except for the wifi and camera...
Also the power menu don't have the "reboot into recovery" which I use a lot...
Definitely a keeper, I just hope you can fix the wifi and camera, which I don't know if it's fixable, some say that there are no camera drivers for the evo4g...

Gosh... I haven't even downloaded this ROM... but I know it is the best of the best. Nothing can compare. I just wanted to have a post full of drivel and having no good input at all. It made me feel sooooo cool and all.
BTW, get 4G fixed, the camera fixed, the dial tone fixed, it isn't washing my dished completely, there isn't any ringtone that I like, it is STILL using some of my damn battery! ( I expect that you can make it charge itself ) and just generally isn't PERFECT. But it is a great ROM ( I guess )
Boy, I do feel better now that I have made this BS post and all. Just wish that I could have done it on the first page and really reveled in the awesome coolness of being there. * sigh *
