(sorry if you have but i dont know you i helped theme/port roms from captivate to VIBRANTS)
your RAVING this phone is that good... (your opinion everyone is entitled to one)
but isnt RANTING/RAVING generally the same idea... (good thoughts or bad)
and dont get me started on "development" on the SGS4G

It was sarcasm about it being the best phone ever. Obviously every time you buy anything its obsolete with in a matter of days. With that said, what is the point of complaining about it?
As for development, I am and have been working on a rom for this device. Along with a couple other people. The reason its on the hush is because I would rather wait to announced anything about it until its complete. I am not here to argue with anyone. I am here to make this a better phone for me and everyone here. But when I come here to the general section to help others having REAL issues. All I see is back and forth talk about a new device and how much they hate the sgs 4g. If you are unhappy sell it. If you want to rant about it. Start a blog. It just gets old, and I know I am not the only one that feels this way.
Anyways. That's all I have to say.

All these phones have their good points and bad points it's not some sort of contest. I for one like the sgs4g for a whole variety of reasons. If you don't like it I don't give a sh*t.
I'm here to make this phone better, contribute to others who like the sgs4g, and to learn what I can about development for it. Come on people--these are phones not sports teams. If you like a different one go find the forum for it and gtfo of this one.

Look fella, this post was never directed at anyone in particular. So no need to make it personal.
I am really here to help people and this is a forum for development, not hey this phone blows, this phone is better. If you don't understand that you don't really understand XDA.
This wasn't to raise my post count, most all of my posts are to either help someone that is having an issue, testing for other dev's, or for dev work that i am currently working on.

U guys that come on the forum and start these stupid no substance threads where all u do is complain about how ****ty developement is on this phone really should save your breath!!!!!!! For one thing thats not the point of XDA! We are here to learn from eachother,encourage and help eachother, and work together for the common goal of making our phone all that it can be! U stupid mf's got the whole thing clogged with complaints and other non productive babble that is only discouraging to a noob coming here for the first time to see what were all about and see what they can do to their device. U all keep writing this bs and someone who is lucky enough to have this phone sees it and thinks they made a bad decision or that our forum is full of whinny pricks! Like my momma taught me............. IF U AINT GOT SOMETHING NICE TO SAY THEN KEEP UR TRAP SHUT!!!!! This phone is the ****!!! Something that people like u will never grasp!!!

it might now have any custom roms, but maybe if you would read instead of complain you would see that the MODS we have for the stock roms turn the phone into a powerful beast just like any other HTC phone, **** i just compared my phone to my homies HTC ATRIX 4g and mine is better then his with his custom roms
also, custom roms will be on the way probably mid summer to be honest
it might just be me but id rather get a phone with no DEV work and work on it myself then to be a whining baby and expect things done for me and complain when they are not

Hate to be brutely honest but development on this phone is super slow and non existent. To be honest im really surprised though all i want is CM7 or a Gb port.

understandable not your cup of tea
voodoo sound fix is the only voodoo we have for the phone
a lot is more to come because one of the devs is about to have the phone to work on
and not just building codes blindly with no test

I am not complaining i just came from a over anxious group in the g tablet forum. I will say i started trying to port cm7 and with out the proper know how or doing it before i found the information on porting was not accurate so i stopped. Once the dev that is getting the phone to play with starts porting alot more will follow i know. Regardless with mod the phone is hella fast. Also want to state another mod to try is upping your vmheap to 64m made a huge diff with bali kernel and fugu tweaks.

Slow? You have to be kidding me. This phone blows my evo out of the water! I get 64 fps on neocore UNDERCLOCKED to 800MHz.

I see people take this phone rooting and flashing way to serious you knew ahead of time that it was locked and htc said they will unlock it eventually , get a job and quite crying .

I'm no developer nor expert on rooting, flashing (well, not the phone kind lol) or programming, but i do understand why i'm looking forward to the unlocked bootloader on Sensation! I'm still delaying my upgrade so i can get this dual-core beast and give thanks that these guys can help me to get the best from a £500 phone! Only adding my £0.02, but not sure this was a wise thread to start. (scratching head)

Sorry guys, but I am leaving. My development thread got closed and a bunch of people were trolling. I will just stick with the Kindle Fire and other phones. You barely knew me and most of you hate me, so I will just stay someplace else. Thanks for at least trying my rom for those who did. As of now I am officially dropping ReloadedROM™ support for the sensation. I am insulted that many of you came to the conclusion that I kanged a rom. If you want to post here, it will be ignored as I am no longer part of this forum. Thank you.
EDIT: I decided I will actually remake my rom for it, this time I will get the correct permissions (Vorbeth's build.prop and kernel) and cite my sources correctly. I originally posted in a hurry and was just lazy about everything, I apologize. I have no ETA when this will be re-released, but expect that it will happen. If Vorbeth denies permissions of me to use this rom's build.prop or kernel, I will make them myself and then the rom will be worse, so... cross your fingers! Vorbeth: I want to use your build.prop and kernel because they are the most stable, and I don't want to mess with that. That was not me asking for permission, that was just a general statement.
EDIT2 (9:05AM): Just asked Vorbeth for permission to use build.prop and kernel for the good of the community, hope he says yes.

No, that was an unrelated post. I am actually re-supporting this device (I change my mind fast). Discourage me if you will, but I want to make this for the community, and I will get there no matter what it takes.

Yeah this forum is lame that way. Many developers have been scared off because of it. It appears no one can ask for source or credit in a courteous manner. Most of the time the people asking for source or credit are completely unrelated, it's amazing. Miss the mt4g and hd2 forum.

First of all, I know that everyone is not like me... but I for one check for the "dev's" credibility. I look at your profile and bam "Sensation bricked" and how is it bricked? It isn't, you had trouble solving an issue that I would consider quite simple.
Second of all, I was a bit excited to see a new CM rom (yours) and lost all interest when I noticed it was nothing new / different. Pretty much the same as Vorbeth's work. Worst of all, IIRC 0 credits were given out and the "I originally posted in a hurry and was just lazy about everything" is just asking for it. Now that you've asked Vorbeth for the permissions, I'm sure (and hope he does) he'll agree to that. Afterall, we're an open community and it's not 100% his work either!

He isn't a dev, which is the problem and some members such as myself find that bs. I can create a rom - keep in mind that I know NOTHING except to compile and zip it up - from other peoples work. I would personally be annoyed if someone just took my stuff and put it together, claiming that it's "their work." I hope you see why these "trolls" aren't happy with what you put up. I for one, held back lol cause it never really gets anywhere. You'll notice the plentiful of roms that just zip/compiled here already and the very few "devs". If anything, members like myself want less junk and more awsm stuff!
Don't take everything into heart, I don't mean to offend you. I'm honestly just trying to be reasonable and pointing out some things you and others might not notice here! (Especially since you're new to the sensation forums)

Ok guys So you own a SGS4g now what? Well lets just air out a few thing that get Devs absolutely fired up.
1) Requesting ROM features.
2) Ordering them to do something.
3) Repeatedly asking the same question.
4) Demanding
5) Complaining
6) Asking for a ETA on Alphas
7) Harassing
8) Threatening
I could keep going on about what makes them mad but there is already a thread about that. This thread is to Distract Noobs away from bugging the Devs by discussing ROMS with each other and answering each others questions that would normally bug Devs. Yes Devs are welcome here, but mainly this is thread to prevent Noobs from pestering the Devs about things that can be answered by other Noobs (or Google). Noobs feel free to ask, discuss, and converse away. Just remember flaming is bad so just don't do it. If you honestly don't understand the difference between positive criticism and negative then just don't criticise anyone. Better yet lets keep negativity to ourselves.

on OTA ICS well google, all the electronics companies, and the air carriers made an 18 month agreement to upgrade all devices made in the last 18 months that can be upgraded. As to whether or not they abide by the agreement is up in the air. We have to wait until they are ready to update our phone, aka when S2 sales fall, before we see an upgrade. Its all about keeping us from buying a competitors phone.

Motorola got around that by stating certain devices will not operate any better on ICS than GB. There is many ways to get around that agreement. If there wasnt none of them would have agreed to it.

True but it's all about sales, if they feel that upgrading your phone will prevent you from buying the competitor, especially if the competitor releases a phone that is cheaper then their current market topper. It only makes perfect business sense if you can't sell them something new, prevent them from buying from someone else. If you have noticed that's why updates tend to always be released/leaked around the same time as a new competitors phone is released.

I would like to apologize to Lumin and fb I made and guide that was based off incorrect info, they stuck by there guns in correcting me. I was wrong as happens sometimes. The guide should be removed soon.

I have found an awesome new version of the XDA app, no I didn't develop it I found it.
It is an ICS themed blue XDA Developers APK Developed by Whiskey103.
It is the free version but if you are OCD and love colors to match then here you go.
