Are you on ics? You can manually push via app settings or use apps like app2sd.

Use "Manage applications" from your system settings. When you look at some apps, you'll see a "Move to SD" button. I may be a bit off on the wording as I haven't used stock GIngerbread in a while.

If your talking about the one built into the stock roms it is not compatible with anything other than stock. Plus that app has some major memory leaks and is not efficient.
If you are talking about any other task manager just install it. However I recommend just using the built in android one. press settings then manage apps from the home screen. The others are becoming more and more out-dated.

Just be your own task manager. In ROM control you'll find a "Long Press to Kill App". Enable it then when you exit an app you want dead just long press the back button.

Im tired of my phone's RAM

Ok guys, i need help... I have the Motorola Milestone xt720 with cronos X Rom. At first boot, everythin was fine. The phone only has 225 mb of ram and the system had left me with an average of 30 mb of RAM. I tried those fancy RAM boosters on the play store but theyre ll the same and none of them work... i need help!

You can use a tweak to overcome your problem.
DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.
As you have your phone rooted, go to /system/build.prop and edit it with a text editor (You can use Root Manager for this process) and add this line at the bottom of the page
"ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=1" (without quotes)
After adding this line carefully reboot your phone and clear memory with your phone's task manager and you can observe a much of ram left.
CAUTION: DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG WITH YOUR PHONE.

If you have fast sdcard or internal card you can SWAP. search it. it's basically partitioning your sdcard to be a part of the RAM

If there is a shortage of ram, I don't think locking the launcher in memory will help.

But what i think is that with this tweak all the unwanted background apps get cleared off leaving a wide range of ram to use.

Try marking "grant" in default access option and see if it helps.
Sent from my GT-S5360 using xda app-developers app
I tried that but it didnt work... i thought the root might have been taken away by some app so i tried rerooting it but it got stuck on Starting ADB Server, then i thought, maybe i can unroot it, so i downloaded a root uninstaller but it needed root access which it cant verify

A shot in the dark. But try playing with the usb debugging option. Thought my root was busted to. Took 2days to figure it out. I unchecked it to use usb storage on pc & didnt check it again. Mine normaly always stays checked

Friend
Try to enhance ur phone performance by installing v6 super charger....it speeds up your ram and phone.......
Sent from my GT-S5360 using xda app-developers app
RAM-expander allows you to make extra ram available, as a swapfile on your sd card.
You need a fast card for this, but the dev has a utility you can run first to check compatibility.
Also look at auto memory killer, which is not a task killer rather it manages the minfrees, so your can keep as much memory free as possible

[Q]

Why some apps are not even visible in My phone's Play store which are visible in other phone with same OS.
Like I have installed smoothie ICS V.1 and my friend has normal ICS.
What makes them invisible? What is the solution?
Sent from my GT-I9001 using xda app-developers app
It depends on your phone. Some of the apps are not compatible with your phone so Google Play wont show them.
But I was using YouTube Gtalk and other apps previously on my phone but as and when I flashed Smoothies ICS on my phone they vanished.. Smoothies ICS has gapps with the package. But I am not able to see several apps like gtalk and YouTube. Tapatalk
Sent from my GT-I9001 using xda app-developers app
it may be that the gapps package you downloaded was missing some gapps
try installing these ones
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1796675
if that didn't work it may be the fact your rom doesn't support these apps
click thanks if helped
Done that.. but I have Gtalk icon but it is not working.. anyway thanks for your prompt reply bro.. should I flash another ROM I want features.. apps.. I hardly use my phone for gaming.. is invador ICS RC 5 is good? Please suggest some nice rom for me.. thanks again.

In 4.4.2, moving apps to SD is all buggered up. I just went out and got a 32gb card thinking I could move my 1+GB games to it.

Are you talking about for FM? I never had to enter a path. Just do the apps analyzer and then create the pairs and let FM do all of it automatically. If this isn't what you are asking then please elaborate.

I figured it out. I thought you had to make the paths manually. Didn't even notice the app analyzer. Purchased the premium version so I can move all my games! Thanks, man!
